As a Therapist… that see parents. Especially the new age parents who believe that their lives shouldn’t stop after they have had a baby. Life has to be paused and reset. Parenting is not just about gender reveals and doing up the nursery and picking out the best branded baby prams, cribs etc etc. (trust me parenting has turned into this). Parenting is about understanding that when u decide to start a family it calls for commitment, loyalty and teamwork.

I've had 3 children....all adults, married with children of their own now. I NEVER used a cage....I mean a playpen. None of my children used one either. Everyone is alive and doing fine. Soon, I'll be having great grands. I'll encourage them to not use a cage either. if anyone wants to use a cage, get a guinea pig or a bird. Keep an eye on your children. Play with them. engage with them. That'll keep them safe.

@@alicedoopa1325 I suppose you never used caged baby seats at the table and your babies could just fall out of their uncaged beds at night because they're not guinea pigs. You must have never gotten any sleep, staying up all night so they didn't fall on their head.
Btw, are there stats as to how many children have grown up w/PTSD or otherwise been traumatized because their parents put them in caged pens and caged beds and caged baby seats? OH! And those caged baby gates that get in the way of the stairs or other dangerous places!

Many years ago, I had just moved to a new home, didnt have a lot of money , and I didnt have a playpen either , my son who was only 2 at the time, used to love sitting on top of my twin tub when I using it, and I always put my arms around him , but one day I only turned my back for a second or 2 to bend down to put the emptying pipe in the bucket , and he fell backwards onto a black dustbin liner I had behind it , as I had only moved in a fortnight before , unfortunately and foolishly I had put an empty corned beef tin in there. He wasnt crying , but was calling me , so I picked him up as best I could from behind there, and all of a sudden , there was blood everywhere, his lower back had hit the corner piece of the tin, omg , I was crying and shaking. I knew I had to call an ambulance asap, as well as carrying him flat as I could to the settee on his belly so I could try and stem the bleeding . anyway got him to hospital and explained it all to them, they took photos of his injury , it was quite deep , he was very lucky it didnt damage his spine . and by the state of me at the hospital , they knew I loved the bones of my boy . he had a good few stitches I admit and I had to hold him down for them to do it. that was the hardest thing I had to do ( that was my punishment I can tell you, to hear him scream was unbearable and I felt so guilty ) . to this day "hes 39 now". I can still see the scar on his lower back , and everytime I do, I still have the terrible visions of that day. I never ever put him on there again. I felt so guilty and still do. 😢

In former times future mothers went through a training about how to raise, feed, take care of a baby, a child, a grown-up.... Women learned how to cook..... it could be men , husbands or fathers, too, who get such a Training as it is a different life once you have a baby. My mother did and we're 5 grateful children
Today people should undergo such a training, it's more important than going to work. Once you manage it all, you return to work, not becore, it takes some time to understand

As a parent it is important to make changes. Your life is not only yours anymore. You have to prioritize your children and make commitments. I just can’t stand parents who think children should be left alone and slow them independence from an early age . As a parent give them independence in putting their own socks and shoes on but don’t leave them on their own. Most of My kids are adults I still make sure I care for them and I’m there for them when they need me.. I believe young children should sleep in their parents room anything can happen. How did she not know her husband’s own voice? She didn’t even check on her baby. Why can’t people especially mothers watch their children how do they allow their kids to get hurt. I’m surprised social services weren’t called

These two parents are real selfish phsychos only when it cms to parenting. They shouldn't hv a kid if they're going to behave this way.😢 I guess he would be better off in sm good kind hearted adapters to hv him and care for him more lovingly than these two his own careless parents.Funny thing is this baby seems very calm in the arms of the kidnapper than with his parents 😅

Nowadays so many parents work, idk but a woman, a mother who thinks that her going to work is more important than raising a child correctly should be obliged to make a choice, the child or work. It has nothing to do with equality , a child has rights and they have to be considered above all other so-called rights.

To all of you, I'm talking about parents not about single mothers or fathers raising a child. Above all, people should think before getting a child, children have rights, if you cannot respect their rights, don't get children, you need to be dedicated but way too many people are so selfish , they "want"
      It's not a question of 1940s or 2024s it's a question of respect
