I like these stories of taking a car to do something it was never designed to do. Off-road builds of Miatas and Mustangs and Crown Victorias are always fun to see and their drivers go full send with complete disregard.
I used to have a lifted Miata on mud tires and it was the most fun vehicle I’ve ever had. Right up to when I flipped it in a creek a month after getting it lol
Automotive journalist Emme Hall, daughter of Off-Road Motorsports Hall Of Fame member Rod Hall, has an off-road Miata named "Buddy". She's a pretty cool chick. I had dinner with her in San Felipe while I was in Mexico for the Baja 1000.
You can absolutely still get to the nemo tunnel. Please be respectful if you go, and mind the private property around the tracks, so us locals can continue enjoying it...
I used to despise Miatas until I got the chance to drive one. These are some seriously fun cars to drive. I think everyone should own one in their life as a car enthusiast. The haters were WRONG!
Miata s , most versatile, purposeful vehicle. Elon should sell DIY EV conversions for all Miata generations. Definitely a way to make EV affordable for most Americans 🎉
I'm sorry again I want to hear about exotics not crappy cars I drive crappy cars I'm never going to know what it's like to drive a Lamborghini or a Ferrari or a Porsche do more do more of that not crappy cars please
LOL crappy cars are the best dude! Not saying you haven't... but when a car guy gets a crappy yet reliable car and modifies it for whatever purpose it is meant for, that car along with the driver/mechanic behind the wheel is worth more than any super car you can wish for if it breaks down in the desert and he can easily fix it and get back behind the wheel. Try that with a supercar or whatever thats only been serviced at the stealership and ya wouldn't know where to start! There's nothing better than a old reliable shitbox you've touched every bolt on!
This is the best evidence that dream cars don't need to be expensive that I have ever seen.
💯 Austin know how to do it! Smiles for miles & no worries about keeping anything pristine. Good times & great adventures.
Totally agree with you on that statement.
Its all about the experiences and what you make of them.
I finished working out the kinks on a 99 7.3, only 3,000 total on it and it is awesome
This makes way more sense than it should!
There is one similar to this in central Iowa. A guy drives around his lifted miata with a kayak on the roof and I am jealous every time I see it.

First and only Miata story I’ve ever liked.
Love this story, I want to build a Paco long travel miata so bad and run the gambler.
Miata’s really are the best.
Miata is a classic. Time will show that more and more
I already got a problem by not fitting in that miata! 😂

My turbo B6T Festiva was awesome offroad, in snow and at embarassing 5.0 Mustangs.
This guys knows how to have fun
You can put a 2 inch lift on any car and go light off road not extreme off road like trucks

Yes you can still go through that tunnel at Nemo.
I saw something similar to this in Albuquerque last year
I eanna know more about that picture of the silvwr car with the S10bed on the back. Homemade Ute?
