Neat, that's my escort, Seeing it in a Vinwiki video wasn't on my list for 2024.
Sick ride! Def unique..What about your KA-t buddies? Where can we find them? I have a 500whp KA-T but would love to see their builds
Decent. How do you get 440 hp out of a Miata mill???
Love your ride!
@@IceWatah Thanks.
@UberLummox it's actually making 600 now. Pretty simple build engine wise. Rods ,pistons, boundry oil pump, fluidampr, stock BP4w head and cams (just cleaned up the ports). Back then it was on megasquirt, now its on a fueltech 550, 2200cc injectors, toyot corolla coils, and a pte 6262 now, it was on a CXRACING 3084 back then
I love being in traffic and seeing a weird car build and just grinning ear to ear cus i understand the grind, while other people scoff at it. That's why i believe in encouraging those who are actually trying. ❤
I have my Dad's old Dodge Dakota...1987 and it's weathered...and has the classic paint oxidation and delamination from that era...and mechanically, is sound but does have its quirks. We do drive it and my daughter and I took it it to a local ice cream parlor. She waited with the truck while I went in for ice cream. People would stop by to talk with her about the truck and how nice it was to see it out and about. At a car show, I was told that the truck's patina made it look like it had a big story to tell.
"other people scoff at it"
90% of people on the road don't even notice it 😅
Straight up loves what it's all about
@@AI.Overlord.X for those 10%
Nah f*uck that discourage them do better
My brother and I got a 1989 Camaro IROC Z28, LS swapped, Full Bolt Ons. Forged Wheels, Brembo Brakes, Cammed, Black Interior, Red paint Job, Black Wheels, and everytime you drive it no matter where you go. Someone will always come up to you too compliment you on the car. Get closer and see all the little details done to it and it’s an awesome feeling.
That blue Volvo wagon is awesome. I’ve always really liked big wagons that are also very fast.
I knew some of those guys in Florida, I lived in Daytona Beach for a long time.....and some of their cars were truly insane. What they did with what others would laugh at or scoff at is crazy.
Reminds me of the rally world not a ton of body work but the JDM scene won’t even look at them even in the 80s they were pushing 500hp lol
*When the Dude in blue gives your build his seal of approval that's when you know it's respectable*
His reviews center around street pulls, and his opinion pieces on upcoming cars or whatever other news are so obviously based on what people say on social media. I check out videos of his every now and then because I'm interested in the feature car itself, but his input just doesn't add any value to me.
Seeing the 850r in here makes me happy, the Volvo gang isn’t big at all but they definitely part of the sleepers
The golden rule of project cars...if you love it, thats all that matters!😊
Thanks for the shout out brother.
Sick builds
@@DL-lz6pj Why don't you guys post?
@@loxan22 it has been 6 years
That 40hp VW vs 1400 GTR comment hit home. Lol, I have a 40hp Karmann Ghia and it's my absolute most favorite car! and the car i've own the longest. It's the most fun driving a slow car fast.. But we did some " old school " performance to it keeping w/ the 40hp platform. cut up single port single carb intakes to make intakes for dual carbs all kinds of little things here an there. I have another engine I can build but why... everything under the sun has been done already it's more fun squeezing everything you can out of what you have and see what it can do. it's also got full custom hydraulic suspension that's built into the torsion bars / front beam so it's fully adjustable and still maintains factory ride / spring rate where you set it. Hydraulics are used to turn the torsions then locked in wherever the hydraulics are set. I love the underdog builds any day all day over the big trendy crazy builds. not that they are not cool , I just enjoy the other stuff more. raw , rough around the edges get it done have fun with your people. It's what it is all about.
Exactly you see the person through the build with the rough build, you almost see the struggle and sweat they toiled through.
Trendy builds are too Hollywood and Celebrity hogged and usually bought not built by the person driving it.
Lol jingles fuckin volvo made it on vin wiki thats dope as fuck
It's beautiful in person. It's the one I showed my son to explain my love for these Mooses.
I know the Escort GT owner from back in the day being on the FEOA forums and in the FEOA FB group, really cool guy, MAD crazy Escort, super badass car. Part of the reason it was a bare shell car is cause that drivetrain started out in a rotting NE shell, and he bought a clean shell from the south to swap everything over into.
Pretty sure that shell started midnight blue, but was stripped down and repainted white. Either that or he got in a minor fender bender and had a blue front bumper and passenger fender for a while. Years ago, probably like 14 years now
I have a 323 C, looking to swap a GT engine into it. Love the chassis. Fuck the stock seats though, Jesus Christ.
@@glurak888 swapping a EGT engine into anything is a pain thanks to God making the harness one continuous harness from headlights to taillights, instead of using a Engine ECU harness separate from the body like most other cars. Using the EGT harness you better get your hands on a 323 wiring diagram book and the wiring diagram book that is specifically for the year model EGT Engine and harness you get, because there was a change in wiring in 94 to allow for the airbag system, so even MORE wires to go through on that one! This is why I never swapped my Emerald Green metallic 95 Escort LX 2 door
@@Celician83 Oh, you don't understand. I have a Astina BP05 with loom and everything and want to swap it into my 323. Currently scared of seperating head and block and taking pistons out, since I have read a lot that most piston rings you can buy are too thin now
@@Celician83 And I don't have an airbag. 1991 engine into 1993 car
That Volvo wagon is awesome
The stories behind the cars are just as good as the car themselves. Good interview boys
Lincoln Town Car looked sick AF! 👊😎
In case you didn't know already like me, apparently a KA is a 90's Nissan 240sx engine.
A 1500+whp porsche will give you that feeling! Where the sides blur by and existing becomes difficult 😂
This guy needs to go for a ride in one of the uphill drag semis in onaway Michigan 120 plus thousand pounds 1/8 mi 80 mph uphill in a semi
I grew up on Merritt island, and it was a pleasure to hear my hometown mentioned on Vin wiki.
When will we get a story from rabbit/casey? Feels like it’s been *years* since they’ve appeared.
I doubt Casey will ever be back on because he put out a video probably about a year ago. Bashing Vin wiki and the cannonball run and saying how the fast driving car culture needs to be done away with and basically just ripping Ed for allowing people to talk about driving fast. I doubt he ever makes another appearance, which is fine because a lot of people found him absolutely insufferable and a whiny Little cry baby with an over-inflated ego
I think he has his own Chanel now
Like the guy above me said, Casey will likely never be back. He did the automotive equivalent of dropping a dis track. As for Rabbit, I think he's busy with his Netflix thing, but he hasn't put up a new RUclips video since last summer, unless he's uploaded something in the last couple weeks.
Rabbit had his own channel for a few years but hasn't hardly posted on it for probably like 8 or 9 months. He got that Netflix show and has been too big to do anything for the people that supported him and made him well know
@@b.m.4066I remember there was a slight shade between them and an auction that was going on, but that’s news to me. Thanks for writing it out to let me know. Shame, wouldn’t have been nice for Ed seeing Casey do him like that.
Thanks for coming out to Merritt island.
My first car was a 1991 ford escort gt 5 speed loved it
I think you should do a video on my clapped out farm truck just for the joke but pull out all the stops, little white gloves, shoe covers, I'll roll it off a trailer on dollies and everything 😂😂😂😂
David is the best. His seal of approval is HUGEEE.
my first car was a 95 ford escort gt. it was a fun car to learn a 5 speed on.
I remember some of the mental builds of the UK Max Power era. They were phenomenal cars!
It's the cars that you never suspect or never take a 2nd look at end up being the most fun to drive.
We love David
That white Escort is super cool!
My ex had the same gen mercury tracer in purple, I had all the coolest ideas that never came to pass. I love those body lines, sedan or hatch.
Guy who owns the car has a RUclips channel, never realized how much Ford and Mazda were in development together during that era.
Thinking about swapping my Chevy G20 van with an LS3 or a built 5.3L. The 350 in it is still going strong but the trans is being a little funky. If I can’t fix it myself I may start a swap
The band 'A Wilhelm Scream' said,
"...we share without knowing,
screams soaring in every direction.
we sweat like boat builders,
and marvel at our work-
smilin at the imperfections..."
Fun story teller.
I'm happy to see a manual trans was added to that big ol boat. Now I bet it is fun.
@1:02 Joke's on you... "this way" (transverse) is the "correct" orientation for the B series engines. Mazda adapted the B6 and BP to longitudinal for the Miata (yielding some non-ideal coolant routing, among other quirks).
Nothing cooler than those cars.
Great video and content. 🇦🇺 😊
Loving the last few videos- but why is the editing off from what the guest is saying? The cars he’s mentioning are not the ones that are being shown on screen.
Good morning. I can't wait to get my Ravolet done first ever ls rav4
After watching this video, I respect the odd builds I see on a daily. But I'm still gapping them with that k24 😂
Got some j series smoke for you if you wanna get bullied. 😂
Don't let dude in blue see this comment, or else he'll make a video on "WhY yOuTuBe CoMeNtS r RuInInG cAr CuLtUrE" and then lecture us for 20 mins with some nice B-roll.

Top notch video ✌️

Shoutout to the 321
I just saw a town car and thought to myself, supercharged LS slammed on air….
Lmao so funny I live in the area never seen these cars! except the volvo wagon lol
When you've owned half the cars in the thumbnail
4 booty bots in the comments. That has to be a record of some kind!
Oh. I thought you were talking about the videogame
if you can build it right and pay attention to all the details you are doing it right. the last 20% is the hardest.

Thank you for saying Titan. They been cool the whole time but no one wanna say it
In the early 2000s guys where swapping out KA motors like they where junk. Not me, I put about 40kmi on my self built KAT setup and even sold turbo manifolds I built on ebay for years

@@d3lan011 Didn't sound like there was any disrespect.
Personally I don't understand "RUclips famous" in general.
He was putting out frequent videos reviewing project cars we all wanted to see, so everybody watched his videos. That's pretty much all there is to it
no offense but the driving is NOT the bonus part. at all.
You know, you think your cool. When you say "You get that all the time." Totally understandable, but talk to me when it goes away. Better phrasing won't feel as bad later on.
