"That wasn't too scary" "It was meaningful" - You both explained it perfectly with just those two sentences. Great reaction!
Thank you so much!
Marion has it right. What the dying wife said was about the future. "Tell Graham to see. Tell Merrill to swing away."
sooo deep that was!!!
Great reaction! Ghram was meant to see the "signs." He lost his faith after his wife died, but it was as if it "was meant to be." She didn't see the future, but God used her situation to give Ghram "signs" for him to see God was ALWAYS with him. Asthma, "It didn't feel right not to swing," glasses of undrunk water, etc. Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes we don't see the signs....
@@dianef6038 Thank you for your explanation. In a few other reaction channels I’ve seen, people always give the credit to the mom. It was, like you said, God!
In the beginning of the movie the boy says "I think God did it." In the end - "Did someone save me?" ... =)
That's was his script he had to said it.
Yet we know that god didn’t do it. And that his asthma has closed his lungs were clogged so he couldn’t inhale the vapor.
This movie directly contradicts religion. But the nuts people who haven’t moved to modern thinking see what they want to see as usual. Nothing new. A great movie, that often gets twisted by people looking though it by a man made lens.
@move_i_got_this5659 yeah, luckily we evolved from that and is moving forward…
“AOooga braaa bruuga!!” - caveman
@@Gnossiene369 tbh it was all scripted so not even his lungs where closed, that vapor was cgi, all fake no god, no et....
@move_i_got_this5659Everyone is going to heaven? Now you talk ridiculous…
When Graham was listening to his wife at the tree, it appeared from what she said that she didn't know that he was there. What she was doing was repeating the words that Jesus was giving her. Jesus was telling her to "tell Graham...".
And in the next moment, she went to be in his arms.
*GAME OVER!* I love it! Both you two are a fun time
Over for now
Game On for late ^_^
have a great day! and thx a lot
We all know that Mel Gibson can play angry and crazy but I think that his restrained and subtle performance in this movie is his best.
Ray in the Suburban, is M Knight Shyamalan. He cameos in nearly all of his movies.
I think that you are meant to think "Signs" are the alien symbols in the cornfields, but at the end of the movie you are supposed to take them to be all the little signs from God. There are signs all over the movie.
I've seen Signs a bunch of times, and only recently have I noticed, they actually indicate that both the mother and the daughter see visions of the future in their dreams. The mother, when she was giving birth to one of the children she said that they looked exactly like what she dreamed they would look like. The daughter kept dreaming things all throughout the movie that come true, too.
You guys really got this movie! I remember the first time I saw it I was expecting some big twist ending like The Sixth Sense and was a little disappointed. Since then the movie has grown in my favor and it's actually a favorite now. There are a lot of elements in it in which Shyamalan was obviously very inspired by Alfred Hitchcock. The music, for one thing, is very reminiscent of one of Bernard Herrmann's Hitchcock scores. And the scene in the house feels a lot like The Birds. Also Shyamalan is excellent in bringing out great performances from actors that are usually seen in action roles. Another delightful reaction from you both!
quite smart Director! we loved the movie
Abigail Brisling was so friggin adorable at this age she reminds me of me at that age.
I always get goosebumps when the camera pans to meryl gripping the bat.
“I felt wrong not to swing”
I'm not into a lot of horror movies, but I love this movie.
was good!
When Graham was with his wife at the last moment of her life, he was confused when, looking at him, she said "Tell Graham...". She was actually saying the words that Jesus was giving her. Then, in a moment, she was blissfully in His arms.
can't imagine seeing Jesus.. how it will feel.. scary stuff
Joyous stuff!@@MJoy4Fun
The alien reveal in brazil sent everyone insane when I watched it in the UK movie theater
In the Bible, snow signifies purification.
This is a very good movie. Watched it many times. 😊
I didn't know about this channel and with this reaction ONLY I'd just subscribed, GREAT CHANNEL YOU GUYS 😊
I agree, they are both fantastic reactors ❤
He's right - the wife saw the future :) - just like the daughter saw the future when she said "I dreamed this"
I love watching you two react! You two are great together and send out nothing but good vibes!
You're the best!!!!
I still love y'alls chemistry in your reactions, I hope u keep em coming for a long time❤fun fact the guy playing Ray is M.Night Shyamalan he has a small cameo in all his movies...he was the doctor in Sixth Sence
thx a lot!!
Such a great movie. You should react to The Village also directed by M. Night as well. Has a great cast including Joaquin and Adrian Brody.
Excellent recommendation!
it's a deal!
this movie left some serious psychological imprints on me as a kid. our dad showed it to my older brother and I. We lived in a rural place like this surrounded by cornfields and deep forests. So there was no going out at night unless you absolutely had to lol. Still to this day I never walk out of my house at night without being armed lol
I don't watch every MJoy4Fun reaction, but I've seen enough that I can usually predict when Marian is going to say, "Game over." You two are always a delight.
hahaha thx a lot!!!
Marian. In this film you were more observant than your wife. (Usually she’s right on top of it)
Yes. The film is called Signs.
:-)
Ray was the director and writer of the movie! M. Night Shyamalan. He seems to always put himself in a small part of all of his movies and I love it.
Great movie👍. Thanks for letting me watch again with you💖🌹.
You probably already know by now that Ray Reddy is M. Night Shyamalan who made brief foles in at least three of his movies..... the doctor at the hospital in the Sixth Sense and the forest preserve guy in the Village. Enjoying your reaction.....especially the jump scares. His wife died 6 months ago and Merrrill's baseball career was over. So when she said "swing away", it was her seeing the future.
Shyanmalan's films always have a connection to Jesus Christ. One connection here is the basement scene, when Morgan is having the asthma attack, and his father is holding him and assuring him (as Jesus does in our times of trouble). Graham also curses God for allowing Morgan to have asthma.
Then, after the demon is killed, he realizes that it was Morgan's asthma that saved him, because his lungs were closed to the poison gas with which the demon tried to kill him . The demon's tactics are like HAMAS, taking children hostage. I think that there is a connection there.
IMO his wife's statements before dying -- it's possible she was seeing into the future, but I'm not so sure, except that she knew she was about to die and was giving them life advice for carrying on without her. What mattered was that God brought those things to mind at the exact time they were most needed. This movie, like Sixth Sense, wasn't really about aliens (or ghosts), but about faith and family. I love this movie and loved both your reactions. Thanks for posting.
I think the wife and daughter both could see the future, even if its from dreams. Bo says she saw Morgan having that asthma attack in her dreams and when Graham tells the story about Morgan's birth he says she said "you look just as I dreamed you"
i think ur right.
once u break free from physical world, the spiritual world has all the answers.
You two never fail to make me laugh and smile. 😊
aww thx!!
have a great day!
First view And First comment!
You guys are amazing and I've being excited, anxiously awaiting you guys watching this because I knew it was right up your alley!
Love your guys's chemistry keep up the good work!
Thanks 4 the love! Been a sub 4 a while now and I really do like y'alls chemistry. She's always shouting, "MARION!" And I'm dead...everytime...
Some unsolicited hot takes...Frailty and Identity...look em up and see if they fit your wheelhouse...I'll be here watching from Seattle!
Massive respect for predicting the plot twist with his wife’s premonition!!!! Took me ages to understand it properly 😂
I loved this movie. Great reaction. 👍🏽
I loved this movie
Joy, your husband is completely correct. Graham's wife did see the future in the end before she died. It was God giving her the message: Tell Graham to see, and tell Merrill to swing away. The glasses filled with water, the asthma, all signs ... from God
thank you for clearing it up!
Yep :) :)
I'm glad to see you react to one of my favorite movies. I don't care much for scary movies but I think this is more about family than fright.
it was soo deep!
Man I love this movie.
I wish movies like this were still made!
You guys are hilarious. Loved your reactions and insight!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I recommend The Village from that director, I think that it is his second best after Sixth sense.
M Night hit 2 home runs with this and Sixth Sense.
Thanks for your reactions.
I love this video!! ❤️
While flawed in so many ways, this movie really touches me every time I watch it. That parting shot of the family in the yard after his son was saved, and then the camera pans to the future and Graham is a preacher again... That music... Wow. Amazing.
people mention these flaws but dont say wat they are
@@eddiepalmer9543 the entire premise of an alien race that is harmed by water visiting Earth, which is surrounded by water, is the biggest flaw
@@commsense1979 oh OK. That is a informational thing and not an actual plot hole. Was thinking of plot holes. Got it.
The movie has been out for over 20 years and a few are finally considering that the so called "advanced aliens from another world" weren't actually that advanced and were more inter dimensional beings who were dying, thus had no choice on what type of planet they were invading. That was always my take. They already knew water would destroy them, but they are parasitic so it doesn't matter to them as long as the host doesn't figure that out.
@@eddiepalmer9543 you're adding to the story... M. Night didn't intend for that or write that. If you have to fan theory a film to fix plot holes, they are plot holes. It's still my favorite M. Might movie
@@commsense1979 fair enough all that flaw is would be an assumption on the viewers part. And it's not necessary for one to have that information in order for the movie to make since I've always found it to be contrivance as it was obvious they aren't that advanced. That's not an addition as they were easily defeated by the most abundant element on the planet as you said.
Oh and the assumption on the scientists and experts in the film itself on the "advanced aliens from millions of light years away picking a water planet to invade" as that would be the addition that M Night never put in the script. It was never said where they came from or how exactly their condition was. They looked sick to me.
This was the first “thriller” I let my daughter watch when she was about 12.
oh and i bet ur right
It's symbols!!!
Okay, signs.
Good one, M&J. 🙂
I love this film. I live in the South West of England, and its been a hub of crop circle activity for many years. A lot of them have been proved to be man made hoaxes, but there have also been lots that cannot be explained how they were done as they were too large and complex to have been made by a small handful of people flattening crops with a wood board and a bit of rope.
11:57 - That's the director, M. Night Shyamalan! 😅👽🎥🎬
He Also appears before in the car
Brilliant domino scary effect in intro!
The guy who played ray was the director. I just found your youtube channel about two days ago and I very much enjoy it
The guy that drove into his wife was the director M. Night
I lived with my youth pastor during 2001. When this movie came out we went to the theater to watch it. He was screaming most of the movie & the guy in the row in front of us happened to be a guy who was on steroids on my highschool football team. He asked if my friend could stop screaming so HE could scare his girlfriend. 😂 Around that same time I rented legend of drunken master with Jackie chan. Youth pastor said terrible choice. Then he watched it in both English & Chinese & rerented the movie.
oh what? hahaha!
Guys, next you should watch Knowing with Nicolas Cage. I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it!
11:30 Hala! 😂
For another serious Mel Gibson role, you might want to check out "Ransom". It also has Mark Wahlberg in his first role (?) as an actor after being a pop/hip-hop star named Marky Mark.😂
His first movie was "Renaissance Man" in 1994. Then in "The Basketball Diaries" with Leo in 1995.
*Donnie Wahlberg, who was also the guy in Sixth Sense that shot Willis.
My favorite M night film next to split. So good.
Who is he?the guy in the car.oh nobody just the guy who directed this movie M Night😂
Marion was def right in the end lol
Agree with the husband...🌿🌿🌿
Joy is wrong - It was a Vision because her husband was supposed to SEE the bat on the wall and tell Merril to Swing away.
Hey guys watch Rush 2013 movie, its beautiful
Such a great movie! Entertaining reaction excellent job!
If you need a good laugh. Watch "It's Complicated" (2009) with Meryl Streep.
Whtch Carlito way
Good movie ❤
I recommend "The Village," which I think is Shyamalan's best movie after "The Sixth Sense."
Love me some M. Night
⚡❤⚡
Would love to see you guys reacting to *The Mummy* and *The Mummy Returns*
the dark haired man in the car is m knight shamalyn the writer and director
I never win the game before its over, but I don't know what game we're playing.
I'm not a subscriber but I do have a suggestion if you don't mind you should check out The Good Son with Macaulay Culkin the lil boy in this movie 🍿 is his lil Brother
I loved your reaction. If the truth is ever told to the public, I fear it will tear down our civilization world wide. To be confronted with an alien race will be devastating to our way of life and our belief systems. It may be a natural evolution but at first it will be terrifying to us.
Not my favorite Shyamalan film. But, you guys are too cool.
What's fascinating about this entire show is that it's about Faith and the recovery of Faith and signs that there is a guiding hand out there. There are numerous hints that the "Aliens" are far more "Demon" like in their nature. Bo's constantly described as an Angel, and the one thing that we see *really* hurt them is the water that she drank and left. Blessed Water, AKA Holy Water. We see Morgan's breathing issues end up saving his life from the poison, and we see that Merrill's great ability to "Swing Away" is what in turn defeats the final enemy. It's fascinating journey and one of M Night's best films
Oh yeah a couple jump scares! Great reaction thank you, also was it all coincidence or was it signs?
⚛😀😀
FUN FACTOID: If the actor who played Morgan looks and sounds familiar to you, it is because he is Rory Culkin, the brother of actor Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone).
React to A.I. artificial intelligence~
Can you react to "dragonfly" and "the others" movies? 🙏🏾
Intro music of the video? Please
There are no coincidences! Everything happens for a reason. Everything is connected - past, present and future.
Brilliant reaction. ❤
Watch The Village. Scare Joy again, Marian. 😆
This is such an extremely underrated film.
I like M Night’s The Village, too. It’s worth a review.
Enjoyed it, thanks for sharing 😊👍✌️🇺🇸
i think when she was dyeing she was talking to God not Grahm. She isn't even looking at anything. I think she was praying.
Yall cut so much out of the start so far im barely 5 min in like yeesh 😂
It was 3 min
Subscribed 👍
Bad move imagine landing on a planet where 80% is covered in a liquid which can kill and dissolve you looking out at the sea must of been like looking at an ocean of acid.
Between that and door handles Earth was high risk indeed.
If you rewatch the scene where the dog barks at the children, you can actually see a reflection above the boys shoulder, implying there was a camouflaged alien standing behind them
She said swing away because Merrill swung at everything in baseball.
Thank you Marian for saying, "Game Over" a lot in this reaction. I noticed that recently you haven't said it as much as you usually do, and I was concerned.
I can´t unsee Scary Movie with Charlie Sheen LOL
I live in Southeastern Pennsylvania about 30 miles from where this movie was filmed! .... I used to do Home Inspections in this area, Old Farm Houses like this one. To this Day I get creeped out driving past the miles of Cornfields, especially at night!
Very nice reaction 👍👍
I always thought with the allien and the boy what if the twist is that it wasn't trying to kill him and it wasn't poison but was trying to help save him with a antihistamine and was just misunderstood? 🤔🤔🤔 Lol
Like your channel great reaction duo
Revenge to the scum of the universe 😄
Yes; the mother had psychic powers, which included being able to see the future. Her daughter Bo had it, too; you could tell from the way she was at birth and what she said about dreaming Morgan her brother dies and how she reacted to 'something' in the water.
The father couldn't make sense of the 'nonsense' his wife said just before she died, so he lost his faith. But a larger view of things brought perspective and a kind of proof that God still exists and cares. Ray oddly falling asleep at the wheel of his car, Bo leaving glasses of water everywhere in the living room, Morgan having asthma, the mother being psychic, and Merril always feeling like 'it's wrong not to swing'.
Ray was played by M Night Shyamalan. Shyamalan likes to be able to go home to his family after a workday, so he primarily films in Pennsylvania, where he lives.
Shyamalan is faulted for the cliche of 'weird plot twists' in his films because his first major film ("The Sixth Sense") was marketed as a ghost story, as a horror film. But the real story in "Sixth Sense" was not the ghost part; it was a deeper story about family and love and redemption. the ghost part is more an excuse that adds draws viewer interest, but isn't the point of the story.
This film "Signs" looks like an alien invasion movie, but it's not; it's a deeper story about family and love and faith and forgiveness. The aliens don't even stay that long. They CAN'T stay, but they do catalyze what is important in the story.
Shyamalan continues storytelling in the tradition of Rod Serling, of "The Twilight Zone" fame. Serling used a wide variety of genres as 'costumes' for the deeper stories he was telling. He hopped from ghosts to time travel to metaphysical to folk tales to aliens to apocalyptic and onward. No one spoke of him as being 'cliche'; they spoke of him as genius. All because they labeled his stories as modern fables and insightful parables. Shyamalan is doing the same thing at the same level of genius and insight and his work is judged by how true he's supposed to remain to the genre he uses instead of the deeper truths he is revealing.
I love that you get what he's doing; you react to the story, not the trappings of the genre that the story is clothed in. You get it.

Some interesting facts:
-The morning of the first day of shooting was 9/11. New York City is basically in Pennsylvania's front yard. Flight 93 had been hijacked with the intent to do more damage in Washington, DC but its passengers brought it to a crash landing in a Pennsylvanian field. Filming that morning was paused for a memorial ceremony. The 9/11 attack set a tone on the rest of the film.
-The day Shyamalan filmed the interchange between Ray sitting in his car and the priest answering Ray's call followed Shyamalan's loss of his beloved grandfather. His sorrow over his grandfather's passing can be felt in his performance.
oh man! that's deep
thx a lot!
At 25:02 you got it.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
I'm not a fan of all of M. Night's movies, but I love this one. Very good movie
5:18, who is that? Just the director doing an extra like Hitchcock used to but bigger cameos.
Well he appears in basicaly almost of his movies
