Poor Kyle he's a trooper, just struggling along because he knows this is what you wanted to do and have been looking forward to. You are a lovely couple 😊
Amy, I’m watching this video in Slovakia my home for the last 17 years and I’ve just watched you cycle past my parents house in Ruabon North Wales, and made me very homesick ❤️❤️🏴🏴🇸🇰🇸🇰
Great trip😍 and fantastic tactics from Kyle… playing the long game: 2 days giving it the bad knee and then smoking you on the climb😂😂🤣 and I love that he mentioned it again at the cafe😂
Yet another fantastic vid Amy, Kyle one thing you must learn is not to mess with your saddle once it is sorted we've all done it learn by your mistakes - dad at the end what an absolute legend he is - keep um rolling U2
Amy we love you but I've got to send a big shout out to the 2 men in your life we also love ( bloke thing) ...Kyle and your Dad. They're LEGENDS! Hope you don't mind me giving the chaps a bit of well deserved support😅😊
What a fab trip! And kudos to listening to your body re. Food! It’s still something I’m working on, I do find that because club rides always centre around a cafe it helps give me permission that that’s a normal thing to do, but I struggle if I’m riding by myself to eat « extra » to my meal plan. But I’m really motivated to manage so I can do longer rides and see more of the road! Doing my first audax today but shortest distance!
What a great conclusion to a fabulous 3 days away 👌 just the perfect way to spend your birthday 🎉 your enthusiasm is infectious and without doubt I can see why Pinarello chose you as an ambassador for them 👌
Awesome. What an adventure. You are so lucky to have Kyle to ride with you. Your videos are so inspiring and uplifting, I watch everyone with a huge smile on my face. (Looking forward to my next big cycle tour with my lovely wife, we are off next month to cycle from Lyon to Sete.)
Well done, epic ride. Hey that awful feeling after you eat and you feel ordinary until the food kicks in. It feels great when it does though. Thanks for the three days, I really enjoyed it.
Kyle... I would check your cleat. I had a knee issue on every cycle, then I altered my cleat to a more toe in. This solved my knee pain. Anyway great video again 😊
The climb that you rode up after Llangollen, is onto the Panorama Walk. It's about 2-3 miles from our house. It's a nice short testing loop on a summer evening, taking in about 19 miles overall.Great ride from the pair of you, especially for Kyle, with a dodgy knee.👍
Well done you two, you’re both amazing and a joy to watch! Makes me wish I’d cycled much more when I was your ages, unfortunately marriages, children and life were my priority then! However gave up smoking 19 years ago and started cycling again and love it so much but still not much time to do it as now have a 4 year old grandson to look after 5/6 days a week from 8am till 6pm! Anyway you both inspire me to try harder! Love your mum and dad too, so sweet. Happy cycling! 😅😅❤
Great ride, well done to you both, 100 "milonies" + in this weather is serious cycling daily. Love to know more about the little Garmin you use/recommend as I step up my training etc now. Well done again and hope the family was equally enjoyable. Hippie birdie. PS- I bought my "Pini" X5 last weekend, what a bike. Well done for promoting the brand.
Thank you!! 🫶 ohhh amazing!! Hope you have lots of amazing rides on your pini 🤩🤩 I’m sponsored by garmin but I’ve always used them, I used to have an edge explore which I bought and loved, Kyle now uses that as they upgraded me to the solar 540 😅 which charges a bit in the sun so has better battery life but the cheaper options are still great too! I wouldn’t be able to survive without it I’d get lost 😂😂
Epic ride. Such fantastic roads in those parts. Last time I did the Horseshoe, we accidentally went the wrong way. It was pouring and our bike computers played up so we just started following a route, which we realised like 20 miles in was the wrong way 🤣. So, we ended up getting to the Ponderosa cafe up via the easy route and not the steep route. Did hit over 45mph going down in the pouring rain though (rim brakes). Fun, or Stupid? - BOTH haha. The little road you went on after Llangollen was Panorama Walk and is a beautiful little road with amazing views. Ps your dad is very cool. 😄
know at times it was hard for you both but you both looked fresh as a daisy right at the end. The Santini gear you were both wearing at times looked very smart.
An amazing 3 day adventure and I can't believe how fresh you looked at the end! At least Kyle had the decency to look knackered! Loved the footage of my local.stimping ground, I love the Gwynant climb and you captured it wonderfully. Did you have loads of motorbikes passing you on the horseshoe though? Can't wait until the next one, my husband doesn't even cycle and he loves your videos!
Great trilogy of videos. Well done to you both. Good to hear Kyles knee is getting better. That puddle looked worse than it was. Looking forward to the next one. PS Black Pudding is the best! Diligent Lime Squeezing made me LOL
Job Well Done, enjoyed your trip to Wales , brought back some happy cycling memories for myself , Cycling from Sandiacre across to the Outlaws at Machynlleth ,Via Welshpool and stopping for a Tea and Cake at the Welshpool and Llanfair Steam Railway. Hopefully bump into cycling around Derbyshire , Keep Safe Paul.
Another amazing ride, looked like Scotland again😊That was some 3 days, you guys should be super proud of yourselves for the effort that went into that😊
Great 3 vids guys. You could have done the old horsehoe!... Kyle's knee may not have liked that much! anyway congrats on such an epic 3 days. I suspect you are both gonna have some serious Z2 kick from riding this tour. In a week or so you'll both be flying.
Well done to you both. I thought you would have stopped for a first breakfast at The Ponderosa at the top of the horseshoe it’s lush ❤. All the best for your knee Kyle. Really enjoyed this series. Thank you again ❤❤.
Nice scenery around the Snowdonia area. Never found The Horseshoe pass that bad actually although it gets a lot of publicity . Prob because its a main road one and gets used a lot. You would like the "Wild Wales Challenge" ride in August . Not mega miles but a great route normally. You are building up a nice bit of fitness for the Summer anyway doing a 3 day ride of that mileage.
I have especially enjoyed this series as you have passed through Shropshire and have done a few climbs that I have done in Salop and Wales. I see you passed through the time warp town, that is Clun.
That part of the ride is tough, when your body is diverting energy to your stomach digest your cafe stop, but then your legs are asking "hey there, what about us??"
Amy what size rear cassette has Kyle got? Might be worth upping by a few cogs for a more spinning climbing gear, saves standing up all the time on the long rides with lots of climbs, which will help the knee stability with higher cadence and a sitting down option. Great 3 part series very much enjoyed watching!
I thought you might have stopped at the Ponderosa Cafe on top of Horseshoe. I bet Kyle would have liked it. I think the road you took out of Llangollen after the cafe might have been Panoramic Walk. Really nice up there but I have only ridden it in the other direction.
The difficult mile before Horseshoe Pass that Kyle talked about was at a 10.6% grade. For a comparison, the switchbacks of Alp d'Heuz average only 8.1%, but that's for 8.6 miles. So it definitely was a burner!
Perhaps Kyle needs to follow your example and swap cranks for 170s or even 165s. Much easier on the knees, especially if used with a couple of teeth less on the front rings.
Next time in the area forget the horseshoe and do the old horseshoe. Shame you had a headwind after the right turn as it gives you a great push up the last bit
How long do you need to be cycling to manage those types of miles? I'm new to this and feel like I'm gonna die after 25 miles lol is the key in the cafe stops and snacks on the go?
I think it’s different for everyone depending on your fitness before you start riding (I’m defo no expert!) we built up gradually, never focused on speed to begin with and gradually we got the big miles up ☺️ fuelling right / eating enough defo helps a lot! And drinking enough too ☺️
Regarding sunglasses, you should wear them as much as possible because you need the UV protection - many, many hours outside cycling without them will eventually cause cataracts. Avoid!
So after seeing you on your travels I’m going to do my first 70 miles this weekend on my touring bike babes on the back and 2L Camelback eats don’t think me doing 140 miles in one day would be possible 100 poss 🤔
Poor Kyle he's a trooper, just struggling along because he knows this is what you wanted to do and have been looking forward to. You are a lovely couple 😊

Awww!! It’s a lovely part of the world 😍😍
Wonderful.. Beautiful scenery, fresh air, smooth roads without vehicular traffic. I can only dream.. Thank you so much for your videos.
Thank you for watching!
Poached eggs on toast! Seems like an exceptionally healthy and good cycling meal... eggs give everything you need, the toast for carbs!
Great trip😍 and fantastic tactics from Kyle… playing the long game: 2 days giving it the bad knee and then smoking you on the climb😂😂🤣 and I love that he mentioned it again at the cafe😂
😂😂😂
What an awesome trip, congrats both and happy birthday Amy. I love the fact you leave your mini tifs in the videos, it makes it so much more genuine.
Yet another fantastic vid Amy, Kyle one thing you must learn is not to mess with your saddle once it is sorted we've all done it learn by your mistakes - dad at the end what an absolute legend he is - keep um rolling U2
Thanks for watching! Haha yes we learn! 😅😅
Amy we love you but I've got to send a big shout out to the 2 men in your life we also love ( bloke thing) ...Kyle and your Dad. They're LEGENDS! Hope you don't mind me giving the chaps a bit of well deserved support😅😊

Looked like an epic adventure and Llangollen has an amazing restaurant overlooking the river
It was soooo fun!’ 🙌 ohhh not been there before!
Love that bit: "You want to do it don't you, I know what you're like" Kyle: "I want to do the descent"" that bit tickled me. Great set of videos Amy!

Just embrace it…headwind like it!
Absolutely epic riding so glad you enjoyed it too, but I think my favourite part would’ve been the curry. Get it down you!!
Thank you!! Yes the curry was the motivation 😍
LOVE IT ...... ❤
Loved Kyle's breakfast. Living in France now, no chance of finding something like that on a ride. Snif !
Ahhh it was a fab brekki!
You two are incredible, such endurance and enthusiasm!!! Hope Kyle's knee heals up!!!
Great show. Love mom and dad at the end!!!!

Epic rides 😊

There's a great cafe
on the top of the Horseshoe Pass. You were literally a few minutes away from it 🏴
Haha we had our minds on the cafe in Llangollen 😅 an excuse to go up the climb again!
@@amy.cycling.adventures definitely, next time do it on nicer day. The views are beautiful 🏴👍
I think the 2nd climb old of Llangollen was the old horse shoe seen of the 2022 british hill climb
Love Dad ❤ he’s so cute
Love your beautiful ride, wondering if your hubby needs to check his cleats position ? With knee pain ?
Horseshoe pass is such an epic one, I went up there on the Pan Celtic but it was raining with low cloud so it was nice to see it a bit better 😂

As Wales is only on the doorstep for me I need to go more often. Need the hills to train on. Where did Kyle get the Molteni from, looks great
It’s soo good! He says - hills and mountains shop online
Thanks 👍😎
Redshift seat post for Kyle's backside on these dodgy roads?!
Hope Kyles knee issue doesn't ruin the P-R... I thought he had been fitted properly...?...PS your Dad is top!!!
