    Almost 2 decades yrs served in Gov agency; high proficiency rating every year. Once apart of management & seeing the corruption but refusing to play along, became targeted.
    Gross retaliation which escalated to numerous quiet firing attempts that didn’t work, esp. as quickly as they desired.
    Hired lawyers 👀 from day 1, and they was a lot of public scrutiny as with other’s affected .
    Employer had a vengeful agenda & ultimately NO legal accountability from the courts. SHAMEFUL.

    That’s exactly what happened to me a little over a year ago. I left without a backup. That’s how bad it was for me. I did not document, but now I know better.

    My quiet firing? Worked in a place where I was always encouraged to go to outings (not even once in a special occasion, it was like a monthly thing!) and we constantly had birthday celebrations. When I eventually stopped going and I eventually stopped really interacting with others (because they’re not my friends and because they all just talked smack about each other anyway), I noticed that I was getting in more trouble, I was getting called to speak to the manager all the time, and when we had meetings, I’d catch my manager looking at me when he was saying things like “don’t be late” or “stay off your phones”. I know I wasn’t a perfect employee, but people were doing waayyyyy worse for them to be focused on my cellphone usage during down time. When I got an email from my boss telling me that he caught me on my phone again and was concerned about my performance, that’s when I put my notice in.

    I'm a disabled veteran and I feel like this is happening to me right now. I was also almost murdered last year (not work related) and ever since then I have been under light duty. All of a sudden they can't accommodate my restrictions and want to change me to part-time, take away my health insurance, and change all of that starting next week already. I wish I could quit, but I am not sure it would be a "good cause resignation." And they're doing all of this the year anniversary of the assault, so I have a lot of PTSD and anxiety of that event already troubling me, and now I have all of this going on too. I just can't handle it

    Great video! I am going through this. well I went through it last year, this year I am waiting for the investigations to finish from EEOC. I documented most of the things done to me and even wrote a 25+ page paper to HR. HR complained I wrote a 25 page paper on their response to EEOC and said that I couldn't give details on each situations I reported to them and said they found no substantial evidence, but I have messenger conversation of some reports I made and conversation with coworkers talking about the work issue along with 1 even saying I was not treated fair. The problems started with another girl who is related to the director of the facility, she for some reason did not like me and could not give any reasonable reason why besides make up lies. I found your comment about how most of the time it's white female managers who practice exclusion and the whole mean girl stuff, to be so true. the gaslighting and managers I had that treated me awful were all white females and I am the only Asian female. Do you think I have a chance of winning this? I will admit I don't have much confidence in winning because of all the gaslighting done to me.

    Hi, your videos are awesome. Florida is one of the worst states to live in. When dealing with unemployment compensation especially if you are appealing the employers denying your claim. The employee has to provide a copy of everything they will present in the hearing to the employer before the hearing. Florida also has a law if you are late on your rent and your landlord files eviction against you. The tenant must first provide the delinquent rent in the court registry before obtaining a hearing with your landlord. If the tenant fails to do this they do not get a hearing for rent related eviction cases and the landlord can request a default judgement against the tenant.

    This happened to me! I was selling cars in a small lot. They changed my pay from salary+commission to straight commission and stopped stocking cars. I worked with one other guy and he was promoted as to not lose money and make it look like they did nothing wrong. It was so obvious.

    My previous job kept decreasing my hours and sometimes I got no hours at all. They claim I wasn't working "efficently" during a meeting with my manager like when doing go backs and wanted me to work with urgency and leave it for the end of shift unless perishable. If I have something that goes on aisle 1 and I'm already there, why am I going to wait until the closing of the store to put it back? I want to work smarter and not harder. Plus, they claimed they were slow and not enough hours, but yet, they are hiring new people? I knew this because of the new faces I saw. I already knew I was quietly being fired. I went back to a previous employer that I left on good terms until I find something else. I knew I was quietly being fired.

    If you only realized afterwards that you were quietly fired, is there any point in taking action? It would take a bit of work to document after the fact but I know I could do it. I just wonder if it's worth the time and energy. Maybe it's better to take that time and energy and put it into something more forward-facing?

    I knew this was happening I didn’t have a name. I’m not sure why though, there’s all races there and gay friendly. I’m the only Spanish speaking there. It had to be something petty because it happened slowly but it got worse for me after giving a sympathy card for a co worker the group was going to sign up and the next day I got the isolation treatment even the person who got the card. So I don’t think I’m in a protected class. I think is some petty reason. Is a clothing department and I feel I sell and meet quota. It has to be a lame ass reason. After watching this I can see they was quite firing me slowly but now is more of the cold shoulder and watching over you a lot. Is strange how my co workers all got the memo to treat me the same. I am calm about it because I know I had to truest intentions to offer my condolences and also that I like my job I like selling clothes. For them to get rid of me like this has to be something so freaking petty. I was thinking I should stay n deal with it but after knowing what there doing is time to change jobs I guess wow this really surprised me

    How do you document isolation or apathy?

    • @theantihr
      @theantihr  4 месяца назад +1

      By writing it down in a journal. But . Unfortunately it’s not against the law for people to create hostile toxic work environments, but they’re just not allowed to discriminate.

    Does this work with Non-profit organizations? Also, I work in Georgia which is a "Right To Work State."

    • @theantihr
      @theantihr  6 месяцев назад

      quiet firing happens in every industry. And it doesn’t matter whether you are in a right to work state or an employment at will state that doesn’t give an employer the right to violate the law. If your employer is violating a law, you can hold them accountable. They don’t get to break the law just because they are an employer at Will.
