Yes there's a path down. For safety i use a rope off the back of my truck down as it's steep. Waters pretty deep in spots. There's a sign Catch & Keep posted. Anytime you see a sign there's always a path to the river. Good luck.
You're be OK. Hit areas on the side of the river that's deeper, low water conditions can be a plus as it allows you to move about in the river better the fish not scatter about. Check out the video on deep water holes coming out tomorrow using live bait in Cherokee.

I've lived here 9 yrs & i usually fly fish but wanted to get the spinning rod out & caught my 1st rainbow on that 3/16 gold. I was pretty excited! So thank you for inspiring me
