This is the most secret bank in the world. Called the "Istituto per le Opere di Religione", or the Institute for the Works of Religion, the IOR has secrets and mystery that go back more than a century. And controversies that still abound today.
Created in the 1940s, its history actually goes back much further to the founding of the Vatican itself in 1929. An event that had much to do about money, that was helped along via donations of cash and land from Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Since then, the Church's secret bank has done all it can to hide its financial dealings over the years.
Today, the Catholic Church has said that it wants to do all it can to change the sordid history of the Vatican bank. However, as you'll see in the video, it seems like not all its strange dealings are behind it.

To regulate the world likely would be a massive liberal disaster, a world order controlled by petite regulators would for one only adding to the possibility of fraud. I personally believe in bank secrets and have no problem with wealth inequality, but; I also uphold the power struggle inherent, so as for the Vatican bank yes it going down is fine someone bigger and better must be on the horizon. And never believe Catholic doctrine is truth please, religion is truth they are not, who could actually believe the Pope is some kind of incarnate son of their god? Atheism with many mumbo jumbo gestures and opera like rites is all Rome that pile of cement can give.

The Caholic Church is the true Church and Light is there for anyone who TRULY believes. The Vatican Bank is and should be an independent Bank, that how the Banks operated long time ago for your information. The Big Bankers did not have their hand in every Bank that existed on Earth as it should be.

I have often wandered how the Vatican had acquired so much wealth. I have seen stories of the Vatican's involvement during WW2, particularly in the Balkans.
Organisations like this do not throw away profit, they just move it from side to side in order for their books to seem clean

Thanks for this post, Sorelle! My hunch is that the IOR clawing back all those assets has to do with control, yes, but more specifically with the imminent enforcement of the cashless CBDC economic slavery paradigm worldwide.
The "donation" from Mussolini, was compensation for the loss of the Papal States (756 - 1870) under the terms of the Lateran Treaty of 1929. Additionally the Lateran Treaty recognized Vatican City as an independent state. The Lateran Treaty was the result of Mussolini working on behalf of King Emmanuel III to resolve the "Roman Question" (the dispute between the King and the Roman Catholic Church regarding the temporal power of the popes as rules of civil territory within Italy).

The 90 billions of dollar were a compensation for the Italian conquer of the Papal State in 1871. Plus the IOR is not the Vatican's Bank, its just a financial institution, Vatican's Bank is APSA

To clarify: the money that Mussolini gave to the Church, was just a partial reparation for the expropriation of the Papal States that was about 1/3 of Italy landmass before 1861, stollen by the Savoy crown family which unified Italy by war. The reparation was a tiny amount of money compared to the value of the land stollen from the Pope. So the $500 million of today's value is peanuts compared to a value of about 40,000 square miles of land fully urbanized, with a flourishing agriculture and an immense artistic patrimony, we are talking about trillions of USD that have been stollen from the Church. I hope that this adds some context to your video.

I have been about their bank ever since I can remember and their connection with mafia is very well known and documented

Mussolini did what he did because the so-called "Roman question" was open since the Italian Kingdom took Rome in 1870. The Pope didn't recognise Italy and vice-versa. In 1929 Mussolini wanted to resolve this with a diplomatic treaty, which is now called "Patti Lateranensi". With this treaty both parties recognised each other and Italy accepted to pay "reparations" for invading Rome in 1870. that's it, that wasn't a bribe. It's a pretty common thing in treaties.

@@theindomitablespirit3056 Yes, that IS diplomacy, i don't know if you noticed but being militarily conquered and not being internationally recognised is not ideal, so the Pope and Mussolini didn't have much of a choice but to come to terms with each other to settle the situation. The italian governments that came before didn't bother, and Mussolini did.
@@theindomitablespirit3056 besides, diplomatic ties with dictators are pretty common, the Us and european nations had all sorts of ties with Hitler or Stalin for example, if you want to settle businnes with a place and that place is governed by a dictator, you don't have a choice.

There is a fantastic scene in the Borgias box set where a gloved hand encrusted in gold and precious stones holds a gold plate with encrusted precious stones embedded into it, and is full of paper money. This comes into to the screen from the left of the picture. On the right of the picture there is a dirty hand that looks like a farmers hand. The clothes on the arm are all ripped and tethered. This hand comes in from the right of the screen and puts money into the golden pot. Then the golden pot disappears to the left of the screen as the money has now been recieved. I feel this is what the church has always done, and will keep doing this. When the vatican actually starts preaching the words of Jesus properly, then we will see a legitimate church. I was raised a catholic and am still recovering from the abuse I recieved from that institution. They are so far from the teachings of Jesus it is unbelievable. We can all remember the 40 days in the desert and the temptation of satan. I feel there is nothing wrong with being comfortable in this world, but to lord it over other people is wrong. And to have such influence, you would think this would be a force for good. I knew most of this anywat, but I did not know the origins. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you and your channel. :)

@Lotus Petal And the legal system. The legal system is the rule of law, which means it can be illusory, or even satanic if you use that term. The lawful system is the law of spirit and really came out of Alfred The Greats time, where you are ruled by spirit. So yes I agree with you. The Vatican bank was instituted for a reason to protect their on wealth since money is needed to run any institution and the catholic churches and the many charity organizations it runs with the money the faithful give in donations. Now there has been many corruptions in management, but that's what happens when money is involved.

When influential politicians call themselves 'devout Catholics', I often wonder what that means. The various Mafia godfathers were devout Catholic too. And what has happened to the mafia that we don't hear about much anymore? They've moved into government. It was a logical progression.
Almost all politicians who are "devout catholics" are liars, and this is no surprise since they are politicians and their career is to lie. Biden for an example is a "devout Catholic," yet aggressively supports abortion, non-traditional gender roles, gay marriage etc. All of which, whether you agree with these things or not, you literally cannot support if you are a Catholic. These are the anti thesis of Catholicism. It would be like calling yourself a communist but saying you love corporations and private property and not taxing people. Then you are not a communist at all. I think many of these "leaders" are trying to subvert Catholicism, not the other way around.
On the topic of whether a religion should "have this much wealth," if you think Catholics have disproportionate wealth and power, then I would recommend anyone to take a look at the Jews - who are a minuscule fraction of the population and yet own probably 90% of banks, global financial institutions, medias and NGO's. They've been kicked out of 109 countries for a reason, and it's not their fair business practices and non-usurious lending habits.

It was always said that the church had enough money to end poverty in Africa, but if it did so, there would be no need for people to go to church. Religion gives hope to the oppressed.
The Swiss guards in the Vatican are there to protect their assets and create an excuse for diplomatic journeys between Rome and Switzerland. The missing metal from WW2 may have been moved by this method.

A sovereign financial entity in a sovereign state owes nothing to anyone else outside that state. I support the freedom of capital anonymity in that regard. The management of this bank, if at odds with stated and expected moral behaviour of said managerial entity, could stimulate a massive crisis of faith in the Catholic Church. So it stinks of lies and deceit......but like so much else today it's no surprise.
NB Let's not forget that the reason most financial institutions have agreements of reporting and transparency is to foster degrees of trust. If not trust then at least mutual interest. If the IOR chooses not to engage....repercussions on some scale have been, and will continue to be, inevitable.

As to your question, I think it's immoral for any religion to have hoarded so much wealth, particularly one that so loudly espouses service and poverty- imagine how much better the world might be if all those resources were used to help build up struggling nations and peoples!

Actually "Mussolini's Donation" is financial compensation by the Kingdom of Italy for the 1870 invasion of the Papal States - so it was a lump sum to settle the "Roman Question" - check under the Lateran Treaty next time over ;)

I just watched "Vatican Girl" on Netflix... I'm a very curious person, but this is just messed up, sometimes I just love to do research (I'm no expert by any means, and sources are often not valid). I'm just genuinely interested in stuff and love learning about it, but sometimes I'm honestly scared to find out more about a topic, because of the depth of it all... It's extremely difficult to expect transparency from an organization that has been around longer than most countries.
The church has amassed great plunder from over the centuries. Items to include extremely rare and ancient carvings, metal works, coins of every description, artifacts from every dynasty in every century. Ancient books and scrolls, some from the great library in Alexandria. So, church money 💰 almost seems laughable when compared to church horde and plunder. The gold confiscated through Spanish and Portuguese exploration 🪲 probably amounts to half the gold 🪙 in existence during the 1700s. I should say, that a church 🏦 bank, isn't considered an institutional bank and has various exemptions not afforded to banks who actively provide real services beyond the church. So, although it would be an interesting fact to know the wealth of the vatican, it wouldn't achieve anything, nor would it be the truth as to their assets. Literally, only God knows how much Vatican City is worth and where it all came from and by what means.

I recall reading The Vatican Papers (Nino Lo Bello) and In God's Name (David Yallop) in the 90's which reveal some of the ugly corruption of this institution. Other works of note are The Broken Cross by Piers Compton and Vicars of Christ - The Dark Side of the Papacy by Peter De Rosa (both of these are written by people heavily committed to Catholicism for much of their lives).
Committed how! Are they actually Catholic, or are they spending their lives trying to tear the church down?

@@sheilad83 They were both Roman Catholics - Piers Compton was an editor of the Catholic paper The Universe for many years and Peter De Rosa was a Catholic Priest, so neither came to their conclusions easily and neither wanted to discover what they did, but the truth must prevail, Sheila. Both their books are shocking in respect to unveiling what has actually occurred within the Vatican and the consequences of this in the Roman Catholic realm.
