I've been a 12g believer for years. But with the considerations of home defense and the likelihood of needing my son to be able to handle it, I've become a lot more interested in getting a .410. Glad to hear that there are some serious shooters.
Great video showing the .410 Bore 24" in action with a wide variety of loads being used. You have a very nice piece of property which looks well kept, well lit, and pleasantly green. Thank you for practicing gun safety all the way through!
Lever action is my favorite. My first rifle was that style, and I've loved it ever since. I'm a big fan of Henry rifles too so this video hits on two points I appreciate.
Thanks for the excellent demonstration and pretty fair shooting with that 410. It looks like a real nice choice for around the ranch when you don't need long range and you don't need huge loads. It would clean up ground squirrels in a hurry, and 7 rounds of 00 Buck would make this a reasonable home defense weapon.
My friend, I realize this video is 2 years old; however, I can tell you there is NO LONGER a "wide variety" of 2 1/2" 410 shells available! Hopefully, soon we will be able to buy shells for my new Henry 410! Thank You for the very good review
Isn't that great! The Taliban have more ammo there in their country and we don't in the United States of America...Thanks Uncle Joe!!! Build Back Better MY ASS! Build Back Better for the Taliban, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and let's not forget good old CHINA!!!
I just bought a Henry .410 for fun and hunting. I realized after buying it that finding a non toxic 2 1/2 shells are impossible. I’m fact, they don’t exist. So, I decided to just buy the .410 single shot, which is a 3” shell, on top of it! :). Can’t wait to try them out.
I went for the Henry side-loading .410 gun....Brass receiver, king’s gate. I put Skinner peep sights on it, to shoot slugs. I can put 5 in a 3” group at 25 yards...leather lever wrap, sling, and butt stock ammo band. This one’s a keeper, heirloom.
I agree with your criticism that it should come with a set of three choke tubes. As expensive as that gun is, it should. I want that Henry .410, but I’m on a waiting list for one at the local Atwood’s.
Hey yall, they released a new brass version of this with the side gate loading as well, its about $200 more but you do have the option of side gate loading and Its pretty haha
Hey Buffalo! My 10 year old daughter Seraphina has been wanting one of these ever since it came out. She will have to grow some as is is too heavy for her but yeah, she was sold the moment she saw it... Wishing you well from the left coast!
I have a Henry .410, on Opening day pheasant hunting I scored 2 big cocks, I could have bagged them with my 12 gauge. My son could not believe me. The weapon is quick to point, easy to swing. Shoots where I aim it. No more ruined birds for over gunning them. A .410 is a wonderful Upland game weapon.
Looks like more fun than any firearm has a right to be! Though, to echo another comment, they're definitely on the expensive side, the few I can find online are all about $750.
Great video, I have 2 Henery rifles.22 and .44mag love them both. Did not know they made a 410. I might have to add to the collection! Great job explaining all the features, very helpful! Thanks
That shotgun looks real slick and with a rifle trigger, must be slick to shoot as well!!!! Great video you have one of the best gun channels PERIOD! Great info and shooting as as always!
That is some interesting patterning results. Somewhat better with the skeet choke. Altogether still better than my cylinder bore model with rifled sights. Interesting that you broke down what kind of slugs you can shoot through a full choke and what you can't and how its better to have a blanket statement at times as a manufacturer.
Bill Brockmann I really want to get one, but I just can't get over the loading method. Seems like a massive pain in the ass compared to traditional lever action loading gates or pump action loading gates.
I agree! Mr. Smith's patent on the loading gate in the side of the receiver expired in the 1880s. I've never understood why Henry Repeating Arms hasn't used it. With all the care they put into fit and finish it does not seem like much of a stretch for them.
Check this link out Bernard! This is my friend Greg and his daughter Megan picking that song. They wrote specifically for me to use on my channel. ruclips.net/video/oeV_iJl9X6s/видео.html
Really nice informative video! Big Henry fan of the Golden Boy and 45-70. Shows a good alternative for possible home defense with critical or defender rounds for those who maybe do not want the recoil of a 12 gauge. Good discussion regarding chokes and their use and Henry's choke flexibility for those of us that are new to shotguns. Thanks again.
Purchased one these little gems at a NRA Friends event. Like you said it feels like a rifle and handles like a shotgun. Although I haven't tried shooting any hand thrown clays! Great shootin' on your part!
Buffalo's Outdoors its all good weather there was same as weather your neck of woods off and on throughout day and although could see plenty fish none were biting lol.
Man buddy ...I just almost bought one of those off armslist...lastnight... neat little gun...be a awesome small game gun...great shooting...I love running my 22 lever gun
It's May 2021 and I haven't seen an actual box of .410 shells in so long I can't recall when I did see such a thing in a store. It's been a few years for sure.
Great little shotgun. Marlin has made 410 lever 410 awhile ago and Rossi is offering a 410 lever gun not sure still made or not. Hennry also makes the 410 axs in the short pistol version.
Very good shooting. Range shooting just may be what 410s were made for. All my life I have marveled at how the .410 stuck around, because it always struck me as the most useless shotgun round. When I grew up, kids were started out bird hunting with a .410 which is ironic because compared to a 12 or 20 gauge, a bird is very hard to hit with a 410. It's a wonder we didn't get frustrated and give up on hunting.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for complimenting the property!
This video is the first I've seen of this channel and I'm coming back for more. Great info and relaxed and safe handling.
Welcome to the channel!
You know, I just don’t know how you can dislike this guy.
People find a way! LOL Thank you!
Lever action is my favorite. My first rifle was that style, and I've loved it ever since. I'm a big fan of Henry rifles too so this video hits on two points I appreciate.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Henry's are decent? Not cheaply made?
@@RT-wq8bd Henry rifles are great. I got one, it's literally the nicest thing I own.
Thanks for the excellent demonstration and pretty fair shooting with that 410. It looks like a real nice choice for around the ranch when you don't need long range and you don't need huge loads. You are too modest. That was GREAT shooting!👊
Thank you! I try and I really enjoy shooting. But I also keep it real. I know some cowboy action shooters who can really run a lever gun!
Nice Action. I like it for to guard Hotel Wakanda
"It's harder than it looks" haha he says at three clays, I was thinking damn at just one clay with a 410. This guy fellow is modest.
I love your channel and review method. It's like having a cool gun toting father I never had.
HA! Awesome! Thanks!
@Buffalo's Outdoors I bought a Henry Model X 410 - it is a really nice firearm and can be useful in many scenarios since the ammo is so diverse
Nice shotgun especailly being a lever action...You sure put it thru it's paces....Good stuff....
Thanks! It really is a sweetheart!
Dittos on everything you said about the Lever guns. The Henry is a beautiful work of art, it is just out of my comfort zone on price though.
That's a fair statement. They are pricey but the quality and customer service are top notch. I guess that requires some over head.
This is the best review I’ve seen on this gun. Great job!
Ok, so, the video hasn't even started and I'll just say this - I WANT ONE!!! (and a 45-70 version!) (Honey, It's Almost Daddy's Day!)
Now that would be a heck of a Father's Day gift!
Should get the marlin scout version. I love my 45-70 and won't ever part with it.
Lieutenant General -- Very Nice!
Hahaha... I was going to say that.
wife got me a Henry golden in .357 magnum for our 41st anniversary.
Now I wish I had a bigger gun safe. Excellent video.
Thanks!
Great video. I'm going to have to get me one of these awesome Henry 410 lever action shotguns.
If 14 shells weren't so expensive I would like to have one it's a nice-looking gun
I agree with your criticism that it should come with a set of three choke tubes. As expensive as that gun is, it should. I want that Henry .410, but I’m on a waiting list for one at the local Atwood’s.

Got one last week. Almost too pretty to shoot....almost
Hey Buffalo!
My 10 year old daughter Seraphina has been wanting one of these ever since it came out.
She will have to grow some as is is too heavy for her but yeah, she was sold the moment she saw it...
Wishing you well from the left coast!
She will love it! My son loves it. He can't hardly hold it up on his own but he likes to shoot it from the table.
Great video. Thanks! 😀
U are one good shooter, just being too humble, respect!
I have been seeing these pop up all over. I really like them. Henry's in general I love, but a .410 shotgun version is even cooler
They are very robust!
Looks like more fun than any firearm has a right to be!
Though, to echo another comment, they're definitely on the expensive side, the few I can find online are all about $750.
Yeah that's about the going rate and a lot places can't keep them in stock.
Lovely little gun. Great video
Thank you.
That is super cool!
Thanks Uzi! Always good to hear from you, hope all is well!
What a superb Shotgun. I like the idea of that Two Round plugged tube, that would make it nice and legal for the UK. Great video Buff.
Thanks! I will be doing some patterning and slug videos with this shotgun soon.
Such a fun little thing.
It really is a hoot to shoot!
Great video, I have 2 Henery rifles.22 and .44mag love them both. Did not know they made a 410. I might have to add to the collection! Great job explaining all the features, very helpful! Thanks
That is awesome! I am a huge Henry fan! :-D
Thanks man! It's a sweet little shotgun!
I'm glad you guys made this I wanted this gun for a while
That's a pretty slick setup!
Thanks!
Another great video buffalo keep it going ...THANKS !
@@jodyWalker-z4c thank you!
Outstanding job as always. I think you do the best reviews on youtube. I really do. Thanks. Will be watching.
Great ...now I want a Henry 410 lever action as well....
That shotgun looks real slick and with a rifle trigger, must be slick to shoot as well!!!! Great video you have one of the best gun channels PERIOD! Great info and shooting as as always!
behind eNemY lines funny, i was reading your comment just as he said "it has a rifle trigger"
It is a slick shooting outfit for sure!
Nice Presentation, very informative !!!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching my friend!
After seein buffalo shoot thouse 3 clays with a 410 lever action, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Must be a secret trick shot shootest.
LOL! Thanks for that! It took me a little bit to adjust to working that lever while staying on target!
Thanks for the video. Love my Henry 410
Henry makes high quality firearms, no doubt about it. You do, however pay for that excellent quality. They're (justifiably) proud of their product.
You make a valid point. It's high quality but that quality isn't cheap.
Bill Brockmann

Taofledermaus sent me!
Those fellas were right about you being a good shot!
Thanks for coming over here! I appreciate it and I appreciate Jeff, Danny and O.G. for their kindness and help getting the word out!
Greetings from Ireland. I really enjoyed the video, it's a lovely gun. I also, as always, enjoyed the banjo at the end.

Glad you enjoyed the video! I know I got a little long winded there but I wanted to cover as much as I could.
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO OF HIS!!!
liked the video. never did own a 410 but always liked the idea of them.
Thanks! I find the smaller gauges/bores interesting. Always have for some reason.
checking locally for one as soon as i watched the video, what a fantastic shotgun, so far no luck in finding one ... great review and great video ...
Thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed the video! Good luck finding one of these awesome little .410s!
This is my favorite shotgun ever i had one and had to sell it now i want one again
An other fun, informativ and well made vid. I was entertained. Thumbs Up and keep 'em coming.
Thanks so much my friend! I appreciate you!
Purchased one these little gems at a NRA Friends event. Like you said it feels like a rifle and handles like a shotgun. Although I haven't tried shooting any hand thrown clays! Great shootin' on your part!
Great video man! Can’t beat having a range day with a lever action.
I agree buddy! Lever action videos always seem to be just a little bit funner to make.
You aren't an "Action Shooter" but you outta be wearing that cowboy hat!
Beautiful shotgun & a video that could not be better.
Thank you, sir!
Excellent video! I'm drooling over this firearm!!
love the clay and target shots
Definitely slick lookin 410! Yall werent kidding about rain down there
It finally stopped yesterday! Geez I was getting clinically depressed. Sorry I didn't make it down to fishpond. I really did try.
Buffalo's Outdoors its all good weather there was same as weather your neck of woods off and on throughout day and although could see plenty fish none were biting lol.
Love all my Henry's as they make a mighty fine Lever Action- Put Marlin or Remlin all to shame.
Henry need to pay you. You just sold me on a .410!
I wish they would! LOL! I think you'll like it!
You sold me. I waited for the side gate model x, and just picked it up today. It feels great! (No ammo at Cabela's, so can't shoot it yet.)
Thumbs up to Henry for the hammer safety alone. Call me old (because I am), but I abhor an external safety on any gun with an external hammer.
Nice demo ! 👍
Man buddy ...I just almost bought one of those off armslist...lastnight... neat little gun...be a awesome small game gun...great shooting...I love running my 22 lever gun
Wow that would have been a heck of a coincidence if you had bought that right before I uploaded this!
Buffalo's Outdoors yes it would...found one on armslist for 725..BUT....I'm in the market for a socom 16 right know...lol
I really like this shotgun thanks to you,, great demo and info!
Very good job on your videos
You're welcome! I am glad to hear that you enjoy the videos. Thank you for taking a minute to leave the feedback!
Great video!!! Beautiful shotgun!!! Thanks!!
Thanks!
That is very nice shot gun and it fit you just right Buffalo. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! It sure does!
That receiver and action look huge
It's made from the 45-70 action/reciever.
really enjoyed your video, the henry looks like a solid shotgun.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Thank you!
Good shooting on the last 3 clays!
Thanks!
It's May 2021 and I haven't seen an actual box of .410 shells in so long I can't recall when I did see such a thing in a store. It's been a few years for sure.
Cool video brother. That’s some pretty impressive shooting for a guy who doesn’t shoot lever actions fast. Well done.
Thank you!
Henry makes a great gun. I have a 22mag lever action.
Great video. Just got a 410X. Shares many characteristics with this model. Thanks for the insightful review.
I love the 410 good beginner round
very nice video nice gun too
Like the .410 I have a single shot .410 but working on getting a Henry .410
Henry's have the smoothest action of any lever gun. I love my 22 mag Golden Boy!!
I'm a big fan and this really sold me on this gun. What a great review - well done Buffalo!
Great thanks..... nice shooting
Thank you!
Way better than me,,glad your having fun,,,
Some talk about the .410 for home defense and I can't argue with that. However, the .410 is a fun challenge for hunting rabbits with beagles.
Excellent shooting !!!!!!!!
Sold , I'm getting one tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing.
😎👍🤝
never been a fan of Henry, but this one looks really interesting
Nice gun! & Nice presentation!
Thanks!
Great review! I learned quite a bit!
Great little shotgun. Marlin has made 410 lever 410 awhile ago and Rossi is offering a 410 lever gun not sure still made or not. Hennry also makes the 410 axs in the short pistol version.
Very nice shooting, very cool lever gun
PARABÉNS “BUFFALO”,
VOCÊ É O KÁRA!!! 👏🏻🍀🇧🇷
One of my top 5 gun reviews. I am now in the market for a .410 Henry Lever Action Shotgun.
Very good shooting. Range shooting just may be what 410s were made for. All my life I have marveled at how the .410 stuck around, because it always struck me as the most useless shotgun round. It's a wonder we didn't get frustrated and give up on hunting.
Thanks for the great comment.
If Henry would follow the Ithaca and Mossberg path and manufacture, at an affordable price point, a .410 and .20GA pump shotgun with bottom feed or eject ....Or better yet....A double barrel in .410, .20, and .28GA I'd buy it....Though I must admit that the .410 lever action is tempting....
That looks like a fun little shotgun.
It really is! I like it a lot!
I like mine as well. Easy shooting, little recoil - hope to have fun with it in the fall when I retire.
Excelent review. Thank you.
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls I want one of these and the Ax as well
That’s some fast lever shooting.
Definitely going to buy one of these.. I've never shot shotguns but this one is way cool.. great video
Fine shooting! I just wish .410 shells weren`t so expensive. I can get 12 ga. cheaper. I love my Mossberg pump........
I feel ya on the ammo cost!
Great video my friend. I LOVE my Henry Rifles and gots to have one of these! Subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing!
I expect many time the manufacturer list a magazine tube as not the maximum round count that you can get to fit but perhaps as what they feel is the maximum that the spring in the tube should be compressed to not damage that spring.
I see where this is an older video but now Henry is only offering the .410 that also has the side loading gate which is nice for reloading but adds quite a bit to the price point.
I agree this makes a nice option within the realm of .410 gauge.
