Just finished watching this video and placed my order. I'm a wanna--be crafter who decided against another machine more expensive. Figured that, based on your recommendation, this machine would be the best option for me to get started. Thanks for sharing your work!
extremely helpful you helped make my decision i was nervous about pulling the trigger but im do it thank you . i would love to see a tumbler engraved. thats what i really want to get into.
@@SarahVanderkooy in one of your videos you mentioned the 10w laser can do rings. Do you know if its only with the IR laser or can you actually do it with the 10w laser
Yes, this video shows how I hook up an inline fan to a laser and vent it out the window. My Vista is not hooked up to a fan, but the rest of the venting is the same. ruclips.net/video/y8rJosK95Zc/видео.html
Very helpful, thank you. I turn bowls and wondering without the risers how deep/tall a bowl I could I engrave? How much higher do the risers lift. Stay safe
Without the risers the max engraving height is 40mm. The Risers just about double the height, bringing the machine up an additional 45mm. I'm guessing the max engraving height with the risers would be around 80mm. Probably not enough for a bowl. If you like the layout of the Vista, check out the Vision by the same company. It has an auto rise feature that can work on some pretty tall items.
I haven't run into any issues, but you will have more fumes than when it's completely enclosed. The fan on this machine does a good job pulling the fumes out. If you want to pull more, you could always add an inline fan.
I believe that in one of your videos on the Vista, you recommended a few suppliers for blanks and supplies. Huston Acrylic and another wood supplier. Could you please let me know the wood supplier that you use for cutting boards, etc.Thank you
Both colors are the same price, I noticed when I click on the blue it automatically changes to the rotary package so the price goes up, but you can choose the basic laser in blue for the same price.

Do you have any concerns when using the risers and the open bottom? Such as fumes not venting properly?

Smokey Hill laser has some great products too. I don't have a good recommendation for bulk cutting boards.
What is the max thickness can this cut? Can you engrave on a tumbler without the IR module. I'm a little confused about the IR module.
How much electricity does the Vista pull?
I don't have an exact amount but a 10W laser is pretty minimal.
@@SarahVanderkooy Thank you
Do you have a link for your work tables that adjust and electric outlets
Nice review! Would like to order one, but its only available in the US and Canada……….
this is a great deal but to have to pay an extra 100 to get a blue one. That's messed up.
