Your review just stopped me from wasting a ton of money. I know that probably isn't the best thing to hear if you've got an affiliate link, but from a consumer perspective, that makes you the absolute best reviewer I've seen. It's the smoke leaking from the enclosure. That little detail would have made me so mad, and you're the only person who's mentioned it. I've got an open air laser that is 3'x3', about 1/3 the price, and the same output wattage being delivered tomorrow. Building an enclosure seemed daunting and excessive. I was looking at these as a way around doing it. Time is money, and wasting either is a bad time, but wasting both? That is a whole other level. Knowing that the enclosures aren't as good as what I can do myself, I'm 100% going to keep it and build the enclosure myself. A million thanks.
I found that (on slate) using the setting in lightburn (been a while sadly) that does concentric fill instead of just scanning left/right makes a nice pattern on the surface similar to 3D printing.
I'm also a wood worker, I feel like the saw dust may get inside the sides somehow or interfere with the auto focus mechanism. I have an air filtration system, but I wonder if that's going to cause an issue down the line. Great looking machine though
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these. I’m just unsure which one to get. I thought it was just a speed and thicker cutting capability. Then I watched a video that said if you want to engrave smaller more detailed images or wording then the best one to get is the 20W. Do you know if that is accurate?
I was wondering the same thing. I thought bigger was better how ever not sure when it pertains to this. Is the difference that noticeable? Also the max depth. Does that mean in one pass and can you make a second pass to cut thicker material?

What type of workpiece mounts would you recommend to keep the work piece stationary?

How many minutes for that logo
when you etched the glass what material setting, I seen it had cherrywood 9mm?
😮 nice looking laser here
Yeah, the 20w was on the top of my list. The 40w just makes it even better! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
That is awesome! Great video bud!
Many thanks! Thanks for watching commenting 👍
