    I’ve made two of these so far for gifts - so fun and special! I added a flower on one side and a butterfly on the other! Your tutorials are very easy to follow - directions and explanations make it very user friendly.

    Made a bag from reused grocery bags that used some of this pattern- it has 2 mesh sections and 2 solid sections with a half rounded handle :) it looks awesome and can hold 3 gallons of milk with ease

    Sarah Jayne, I am so glad I found you! I am working on the Sundown Market Bag while we are isolated for the Coronavirus. Thankfully, no one in our family has the virus. We are making new projects to stay sane! I have been crocheting since I was young. I love it! Your voice and instructions are so easy to follow.

    just followed this pattern with a thinner thread and smaller hook size to make a produce bag! super nice result! the only instruction I struggled with was when narrowing in the mesh for the other end. if I followed the instructions, I would only have 15 masks instead of 30, but I put in two doubles in each space instead of 1 to have the 30 masks I needed 😊

      Hooking in Good Company Then it wouldn’t fit the concept of the box. 🤷🏼‍♀️ good thing is, you can buy the yarn and the pattern independently if you want to x

    Loved this pattern! I found the handles stretched once I put weight into the bag resulting in the bag being around my ankles when loaded😂🤦I fixed it with a few knots but I'll be halving the length of the handles for future bags 👍

    This is a great pattern - a good way for me to practice my basic stitches!
    I’m about to start handles for my first bag. It’s for my mum and she prefers carry handles rather than shoulder straps. Do you have a suggestion how long the handles should be for carrying please?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад +1

      Thank you, as far as the handles go you may want to discuss with your Mum how long she wants the handles as it's down to personal preference, measure then take it from there :)

    I didn't get the pattern where you stitched the sides!! How do you join the sides? You just did dc at the sides from down the mouth of the bag. What about joining the sides? Please help. I've already begun the pattern

    • @tiareescobedo6746
      @tiareescobedo6746 4 года назад

      Champa Gopalakrishna The dc at the sides from down the mouth is the only thing you have to do to create/join the sides. If you look at the pic of the finished bag you can see that the two band sections aren’t joined together - the dc just brings the sides up to hold the items in the bag while still leaving plenty of room to open the bag up. Hope this helps!

    • @champof64
      @champof64 4 года назад

      @@tiareescobedo6746 got it! I think I was a bit hasty and more into theory. Only when I made about 4 to 5 rows of sc down one side did I realise that the bag doubles on its own. Thank you so much for the pattern. And thanks especially for the handle pattern. I have shared your video for this market bag with my cousin

    I’m making a smaller version slightly different version from this, because I saw it in a mermaid series and places sell one with different colours except the colour I wasn’t which is like rope coloured and for like £8 no thanks. I used twine I stopped cause I ran out I was so close.

    Started with the handles. Because I thought your dc was een US dc and only saw it was an UK dc when you started with the sides of the bag in this video ( yes, was my fault, thinking too much in US crochet terms hahaha) my bag is a little big bigger so made my handles a big bigger too, also because I'm using a 4 mm hook, still love my rainbow bag.

    I really enjoyed making this bag! The tutorial was great, very easy to follow! But for some reason the bag stretches out when I put something a little heavy in it :-(

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад +1

      Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊 The bag is designed to be quite stretchy so that it folds up small but can also fit in a lot of things. I'm not sure what material you used to make it but an acrylic yarn would have less give than cotton, for example.

      If you pop over to my blog post here: bellacococrochet.com/sundown-market-bag-free-pattern/ you will find the gauge requirements for the bag. I would play around with different hook sizes; as long as you meet gauge you should be ok to work the bag in DK 😊
