Wow! Started watching and was thinking, so how do you get the color off the nails, how do you heat them? Haha. You don't, you buy the nails for the packaging. This video is getting saved for the future! This is brilliant!

I don't make miniatures however I am hooked on watching some of the amazing ways miniaturist create ordinary household objects. I saw this come up and I had to watch how to make Tupperware. It's too small and fiddley for me to do it's still good watching.
I absolutely LOVE everything mini. Always have. Never had a doll house. This is a wonderful tutorial! So easy. I just love.
Just get a biggish cardboard box & make a room/shop or market stall to your taste.somewhere to keep your treasures too

awesome! so funny to see this tutorial because i discovered this hack, too, several years ago when i was browsing through family dollar! if you make minis, eventually, we all start to see the possibilities in the everyday things around us. i wish i had a vacuum mold machine to make these kinds of things, but luckily there are hundreds of things we can upcycle instead of always buying/wanting expensive tools. glad you discovered this for yourself, too, they came out great! what will you be storing in them?

I wonder if a tiny bit of rubber cement or temporary glue would keep the lid on, but still allow you to open it? :)

Added trick. Rit synthetic dye will work on plastic. The plastic will have a smooth even color finish you can’t get with a paint brush. Only takes a few minutes to achieve.

I think that these could make cute little sushi containers too, if the lids were painted black, and the container was flipped upside down. Then you could place little sushi rolls inside.
