if human children are endangered, have knives on their fingers and tend to kill smaller animals and eat them, then yes i think there would be a lot of certificates you need to get before working with them. but the truth is there arent even enough teachers for children right now with current regulations so think again.
It would be wonderful to give them such dedication. Thats why we have the troubled children. It reinforces how needed they are and this fosters self love not narcissism.

Martin your story about your relationship with your golden eagle is very interesting. Your love for this raptors, especially for Scout is so real and your voice, the way you handle each individual bird, the tender way you treat them and your love for rescuing and releasing them proves that you are really blessed. May God give you many more years of devotion, health, and strength to continue your work. 🙏🇺🇸
Magic. Pure magic. And do realize this, folks, the story is actually a demonstration of just how intelligent these birds are, on top of beautiful, powerful, majestic, and all the rest. I stand in awe of what Martin has achieved, not only with Scout but with all his work. Blessings.
This is an amazing video. It has been my dream almost all of my life to hold an eagle on my arm and to work with them. I am a bird lover and have been as long as I can remember. I’m 61 now but had I watched this video 25 years ago I would do all the things Martin did as stated in this video to be able to do what Martin does today. He is so blessed to have this as his career...so very blessed. These birds of prey are absolutely amazing and to me...the most fascinating creatures on this planet!
"But he and I have been together for 15 years, which is just absolute proof, that I am adorable!"...((cue the hearts))...omg I laughed my butt off! This guy?🤣🤣 I think you're pretty damn adorable too! Beautiful. Ty for sharing Sudbury, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦✌️
I had a Cat named Scout & another called Buddy just like your golden eagles! Unfortunately they both passed away . Watching this video & finding out about that your eagles name is Scout & your previous eagles name was Bud made me really happy! I miss them everyday. Bless you for all the work you do.
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah Yes , it most definitely is! People probably think I’m nuts but I still leave treats out for them.( which my 2 new feline friends obviously eat , but I just want them to know I’m thinking of them)! Lol
Martin, Susan, and Scout. You are all very inspiring, and exceptional. I will tell anyone who will listen, about you and your work. Thank you for ALL you do on wildlife's behalf. Scout is not the only one who has his Wings! 😇
I can listen for hours to your voice, your passion and dedication, your love for nature and the first nation generations. With love from the Netherlands( amsterdam) 😃🇳🇱
If maybe in another life my parrot would be a hawk or falcon. You are the first the last the everything about helping every criiter we see you were there between all the pain and glory healers of the babies.
A wonderful and touching story, Martin, of your "personal eagle", a beautiful eagle! The information you give on this video is so interesting, so THANK YOU! 😀💖
Wow! To dedicate your life this way means you truly have a love that will never die. The trust the eagle has in you is enormous. I bet you feel guilty if you miss a day. Amazing work. We have Golden Eagles here in Scotland but I have only once ever seen one eagle, and that was an experience. He or She was sitting on a fence post right next to my car. It was amazing. Keep up the marvelous work. ❤👍
Hi Mike, thanks for your interest and sharing your love for Golden Eagles. Scotland's love and reverence for Golden Eagles once played a huge role in our little foundation. You can read about it in Martin's book or look out for the tale in an upcoming video you just gave us the idea to make ;-)
Uh oh, now Scout is going to tell all the other eagles your secrets! LoL He was intently listening the whole time you are speaking. What a beautiful relationship you have been blessed with. I had a Double Yellowhead Parrott buddy Milo for 35 years. Milo felt the same way about me. If I misbehaved I got a nip. Then a nice hug. In 2010 Milo went to sleep and crossed over. I still miss his Hello each morning. I raised cockatiels and now have a cockatiel buddy but there is nothing comparable to having a large bird as a friend.
Wow, I must say you are very privileged to have that beautiful relationship with this magnificent bird. That's for sharing your story with us. Keep up the great work with the eagles. I love them! And I'm learning so much about these birds from your channel. I tell other people about the things you talk to us about. Very educational. Thank you.
Amazing! I knew Falconry was challenging but the work put into keeping Eagles seems endless and exhausting. You're truly an wonderful person. Its because of people like yourself that we have these majestic birds today! Thank You!
I am now a subscriber to your channel. I've learned more about eagles from watching three of your videos than I have my entire 51 years on this earth. Thank you for the time and love that you and your beautiful wife put in to help the beautiful raptors of the skies ❤️❤️❤️
I've watched thousands of videos on RUclips and this one by far is the most romantic one I've ever seen. It made me teary. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. From Orlando Fl. Evelyn Galarza
Wow, you've truly put in a lot of effort and dedication into raising this wild golden eagle! Of course, you were rewarded by having a great friend always by your side!
What a wonderful, inspiring and informative video. I can see the love you and Scout have for each other. You are truly a "Healer of Angels". God bless you and your wife for your lifelong work taking care of these beautiful creatures. We need more people like you in this world. ❤️🦅
I've watched this incredibly special channel daily since I found it and I have to say this video is one of the most profound and most beautiful stories to date! Martin you are such a treasure to these wonderful animals in your umvelt, and to those of us who are only spectators with a love for animals and nature. Thank you for sharing this touching story. Yes you are a very good " dog."😂💜God bless you!
that was cool of the farmer. i wish more of them called things into rescue rather than just killing. it probably wass a pain for him so nice to see him do that.
I love to watch this video of you and Scout!! I have watched it several times and love it more each time. The sweet affection you two have is very endearing. Hoping for many years ahead for you both!!
Of course Eagles have always been my favorite bird. :-) And yes Eagle really is my name. They are such amazing animals. I love watching them take care of their young. How they tuck their claws in so not to break the eggs or hurt the babies. And will sit through any kind of weather. So yes I am very glad to share their name.
I’ve lived with companion parrots since 1980. Ive raised from a baby one of them, but the other 3 either came via rescue. Ive been told that even if you were able to raise one from a nestling before eyes open like a parrot that they will never bond with a human. Molting occurs twice a year, once in spring and once in fall.
I am from Northern Mississippi and I have seen many hawks, but I am not sure if I have ever seen eagles here- some large hooked billed birds near big lakes but I don't know what they were. I loved your show and the beautiful birds were a joy to see. When I was young, I spent much time with older people. My Grandmother was born in 1878 and she was next to youngest of 12 children. They all talked about killing Chicken hawks at every chance. In the old days hawks were very unwelcome in our part of the country. Farm folk a few years ago and even when I was young all raised farm fowl, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guinea, even peacocks. The farmers killed hawks on sight because hunting birds killed the farm animals. In those days farm families allowed farm birds to roam and only put them up at night if at all. They put them in the chicken house or a coup to protect them from owls, possums, weasels, fox, coyotes, big cats (bobcats panthers/cougars etc.). I have known many people, even game wardens here, that don't believe the bigger cats are or were here, but I have seen a very few in my nearly 70s years. When a cat looks as big as a German Shepard and has a tail longer than your leg it is not a bobcat. I did not believe this myself till I saw two or three over the years in the wee hours of the morning. Anyway, I digress. Now days you don't see many farm families that raise chickens and such unless they raise them by tens of thousands as poultry producers. The good news is I have not seen or heard of anyone killing large birds or hawks in a long time. I know I would not. I even try hard not to hit the owls you sometimes see on the road or in a bush on the side of country roads and no one wants to hit a buzzard to start with. They can drop a load on you from either end. I have known a person or two that this happened to after disturbing a roost. For some reason I wanted to say a thing or two about the times and the big birds plight here in the past. Thank you for your good work and the video. I am too far away and probably too old to help much but I appreciate what you do.
So true that your eagle isn't a pet. Like with my service dog, we are partners. And if anyone has any doubts, she would be the one owning me. I'm sure Scout feels the same way about Martin! 😃👋😘💕

seems like you are his partner in life , kinda like when they get a life mate . its cool. you are still my HERO
Animals don’t have our hang ups about gender or the sex act...we could learn a lot from them.
I noticed in your videos that when you handle the Eagles they seem to be in striking range of your eyes. Is this ever a concern?
Can you post your videos on the Dodo, the ones with your own eagle and falcon? The Dodo videos get a lot of views
Wish the requirements for working with children would be this thorough...
My thoughts exactly.
Very good point.
