12/18/2019 Upton, NY Bus Crash

Crash in Upton, Wednesday December 18, 2019.
At approx. 8:00 a.m. authorities were notified of a crash between a school bus and van at the entrance to Brookhaven National Labs at intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Longwood Road/W. Princeton Ave.
No children were on the bus at the time of the accident. The vans driver was pinned in his vehicle and was extricated by Brookhaven Nat Labs firefighters using the "Jaws of Life"
BNL Fire Dept., BNL PD, Ridge Fire Dept., SCPD 7th Pct., and SCPD Highway Patrol/Motor Carrier Safety responded.
The injured were transported via FD ambulance to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Do we know who was a fault?

Not officially. It seems that the school bus ran the light going North. White van driven by a lab employee (electrician) was crossing the North bound lanes to enter the lab and was t-boned. Last we know he is in hospital no passengers either vehicle. Supposedly took 1/2 hour to cut driver of white van out.
