Within the first minute, my distrust for workout equipment on a doorframe has been heightened.

I got my first chin up bar when I was twelve ( medical).
I weighed 100 lbs. But it comes with brackets you screw into the doorframe, and I was smarter at ten than...well, any lunk, for sure.
Most is user error
As A builder, i can state that it is NEVER the doorframe's fault. The trick is to be smarter than a doorframe.
