When it was finally time for the encore, you'll never guess it... they played Possum kingdom yet again! I could not have been happier. They knew what we wanted and they DELIVERED! It wasn't simply a Possum Kingdom, it was a POSSUM MULTIVERSE.
as far as I'm concerned, Possum Kingdom ranks only second to Smells Like Teen Spirit for songs from the 90s that made anyone who was listening at the time go bat shit crazy for a moment or two. I can tell you exactly where I was when I heard both those epic songs. I still dont know what it is about Possum Kingdom that makes every hair on my arm jump up in an instant.
Nevermind sounds very dated. This song still has that sing along & 90s impact. What's the story morning glory by Oasis is still the best start to finish album of the 90s. Possibly Dookie or Pinkerton

I think Toadies is one of my favorite bands on the principal that they define local. These guys are so huge in Texas and faithful to their state. It's awesome.

I reluctantly confess that I originally thought that this song Possum Kingdom by Toadies was some type of love song when I first heard this song around the time I was around 15 or 16 years old, however I even though I eventually logically and intuitively realized that this song had some different meanings from what I originally guessed, I have to admit that this song is still catchy and amusing to listen to in both the album version and this live version.
