I'm doing my part to save and drive classic cars.
Much better to enjoy them than see them wind up scrapped.
Those wrecking yards in southern Cal. blow my mind. You see older vehicled with a solid body everywhere, We don't see that in the midwest. Good video.Wayne
Its a much dryer environment here and no snow/salted roads.
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Hehe. GOOD segment here , Mike. ALL right now , but rough shape yesterday ! 🏄
Wish I could’ve gotten there the day prior when they were put out.
I bought the doors off of that ranchero. Sadly it was in much better shape than the one I'm working on. That car was picked clean in the first hour after it hit the yard. Everyone walking by was upset that it got junked.
I think that was one of the best examples of a vehicle that shouldn't have been scrapped since I started filming junkyards. It's insane that that Ranchero wound up there.
Thanks Mike for listing what you were going to video! 👏
That's how I used to intro the junkyard videos. I left a few out that are in the video.
@@MikeFrankovichgreat idea. If you ever see a '67 Impala SS I need a lower passenger rocker molding. 😁
I’d be surprised if anyone ever strips the lean burn system off that Dodge truck 😆 👍🇺🇸
They'd have to pay someone to take it.
Hi Mike, that Jaguar body looks well clean.
It would have been saved in the UK.
Yeah I from uk so that’s why I mentioned it they Rusted bad, still not crazy money over here for a nice one.
Mike, good video on Old Iron. Enjoyed seeing what is out there. Keep up the good work!
Thanks
Agree about that Ranchero. What a shame to see it in that state. Over here it would have easily been an $8k car if it was running.
That shouldn’t be in the yard.
there's that "without fer the do" again LOL :)
Great vid Mike!
Thanks

Was that a 430 in the 69 Riv? Last year till they punched it out to the 455.
Didn’t check. It looked pretty bad. Think they all came with 430s in 1969
I went to check that last yard on Saturday to look at that Z. The problem is the prices. They jack up the classic car part prices. There is/was a very complete ‘68 Bug. They want $650 for a bug motor. Too pricy for an unknown quantity.
I did manage to pick up a very clean tail gate for my ‘80 Toyota 4x4 off an ‘83 2wd with embossed lettering for $60.
Do only 2 yards do classics??
Unfortunately lately they've been charging higher prices on the classic parts even though the regular parts pricing is already pretty high. The other yards get classics occasionally as well. Sun Valley used to get a line of classics sometimes when they had the Primo section. Ontario and Santa Fe Springs seem to be the only SoCal yards with dedicated classic sections.
Yeah, I almost don’t like going there anymore. Their prices are not even worth it. Also I’m not sure you noticed they’re mandatory warranty on every part you buy and less you explicitly tell them no I don’t want that. By the way, they won’t tell you do you want the warranty or not they just assume you’ve seen a small sign near the window. In my opinion, that’s unethical overcharging.
It's a shame about the Ranchero.
Should have been saved.
The Riviera!!!
Don't see those often
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💙
Mike what yard is it ? Thanks
