My copy of this classic is by Muggsy Spanier on an old 78 record purchased as a schoolboy in the late 1940's. It's listed as written by Venables and Armstrong. Playing were Muggsy, Brunis, Classic, McKinstry, Zack, Carey, Pattinson and Greenburg. Recorded Chicago 7/7/39
Thé great Bob Havens on trombone. Played for !Lawrence Welk’s band for years. In his heyday, on the top of the heap. He once played one oneTeagarden’s « codas » with embellishments. Totally amazing and inspiring trombonist.Nice to hear him again.
It really is beauty so rare. Jon Erik Kellso is a phenomenal musician, The rest of the band is outstanding also,,,making these tunes sound as good as they have ever sounded. I can still remember my mother, Frances Melrose, singing this tune. I wish she was here to hear this!!!
Just so beautiful, thank you so much from Australia.

How fortunate we are to have this great band to keep this original and great American music alive! Thank you, John and the group!
