    I feel like R Is easier to learn. When it comes to handling lists in R, for example, you don't need to worry about how you're passing the variables (by reference, by value...)

    As Business analysts I like automation python and integration capabilities but on other hand if someone like core business analysis using statistical techniques I think R is Champion..

    I choose R in 2019 because I am different and I don't follow trends. Also for someone coming not from programming background, it's easier to learn R. P.s. I am just starting to work as Data Scientist

      I graduated in business administration though.
      You think business guy like me can work as data analyst?
      I only know Excel and SQL, and still trying to choose between either R or Python to learn.

    For me, R is suitable for people who want to solely focus on data analytics. So people like data analysts, statisticians or business people will more suitable for using R. While Python also can be used, I think Python is more suitable for the tech guy who wants to create a deployable and easy-to-integrate model, and also for people who running deep learning. Btw I've been using both of the languages for 3 years.

    I believe Python is powerfull, but hard learn than matlab/R. So for quick aplications I think R better.

    I started using R but never got the hang of it.. then my job needed me to learn neural network modelling and i started learning Pyhton.. I personally feel that Python is easier to learn than R especially if u wana do data science and AI at the same time.. as mentioned in the video

    Just learn both. They are both the same. Python just has some object oriented functionality which will be used by some data analysts/scientists. If somebody comes from a programming background, then it's pretty easy for them to learn python. And R is freaking easy too..

    I had huge problems installing pandas and after hours it still didn't work. Python wouldn't recognize any installed package on my PC. So I deleted python and never looked back. R is my new friend now.

    Ofcouse Both are important but if u want to become an analyst PYTHON is the basic thing to start with.Remember Analytics is trending nowadays and people are shifting from that Stupid All time programming stuffs like Java to Analyst position/ Project Co-ordinator.

      Hi Mani, You can take up any one. Both are great languages. R is relatively easier than Python. Though Python has great applications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, robotics etc.

      What about business analytics and predictive capability?
      I just got a job as CRM/marketing data analytical officer and I didn't graduate in data science nor statistics. I'm a pure business guy with knowledge of excel and sql.
      Please advice based on my background here, should I learn python or R?
      My daily task is all about analyze interesting data for management people, generate insightful reports and do some data visualization.
      I even think my job description screams R, but to be honest I don't know how long will R last in the next couple years compared to Python.
      However, I worry if Python is not suitable for business analytics and data visualization & reporting.
      Please help me.

    Which is the best replacement of VBA, we use mainframe application in our bank and use Macros for update and extraction of data, but know macros are decommissioned and firm wants us to learn automation to save job.
    Pls advise can R language help to to automate Excel i.e Is R able to replace VBA macros and is it easy to learn for commerce background guys. Thanks

    Why everyone is shifting from python 2 to python 3 ? I am half way reached practicing a book which teaches python 2 . Now help me out what should I do , I mean should I shift to python 3 , or continue with python 2?

      Python 2 is no longer supported as of 2019 or 2020. Python 3 is not much different than Python 2 in my opinion.

    R, MATLAB and C are amazing,,,,, Python, SAS and Java more for beginners. About Data science, machine learning and big data subjects. all languages are useful to achieve some task you require, some of them are more convenient for some routines,,,but it depends more on the skill of each person.
