Steve frankly, I'm here for your race-intellect and funny commentary. You could boot up CART World Series on Playstation 1 and commentate over it and I'd likely still watch. Whatever game you wanna play for the channel is up to you. I for one, enjoy whatever it is.

thats what i love and appreciate in Iracing. Its so clean and competetive. really hard to learn and actually drive but the absolute best experience
Another great video from Super GT. About half way through, I realized that this track was really familiar to me. Turns out, back in the 1990s I participated in an Anti-Terrorist Driving School on this track that was run by the US Army Military Police. It added another level of fun when you were driving as fast as you could while people were chasing you in other cars and shooting at you. They were shooting blanks but it still made it a little more difficult to hit your marks in the corners.
Did you race or serve? That sounds like a sick day at work.
@@hawkmoon5290 I worked for the DoD as a civilian and was doing a lot of driving in dangerous countries for a while. It was an awesome week. I learned basic racing techniques but also how to do high speed 180s both forward and backward, how to ram a vehicle, how to shoot a vehicle, and how to hotwire a vehicle. Helluva way to earn my pay.

I love the irregularities on the tarmac, how the cars go up and down, feeling the suspension working when you pass a bump on the tarmac. In Gran Turismo looks like you're driving in a silk road.
because most race tracks are extremely smooth compare to normal roads
drive down mulsanne in gran turismo and you will think you are on the surface of the moon
Watching a race without a million penalty seconds handed out is refreshing

Good to see iRacing. I don't know a lot about it but I can tell it suits the channel and is very entertaining to watch you play and commentate it. You have my vote for more iRacing!
I think you have already set a very good benchmark on gtsposrts. Would love to see more different proper sim content like iracing or acc etc... maybe this can help u to grow much more to the channel and definitely attracting more hardcore sim racer with your educational video
I like you mixing it up with iRacing every now and again. No requests for a given series, just a variety would be good.

Really enjoyed this one and always appreciate the humour! What stood out is how much personal responsibility was taken for the off tracks etc rather than the usual complaints about everyone else what you said makes total sense and is quite refreshing - hope to see more soon and as a suggestion maybe the GT3 Cup it's a good combo this week with Catalunya Historic

I don’t even play GT sport but your vids on it are really good I watch them as soon as they upload. I have played iracing and I feel like it would be a good change of pace for you to mainly upload iracing for a bit. Play what you want to play because the content will only reflect your feelings

Would love to see more interstitial footage from the TV cam, and if you follow a car with chopper cam but move the camera closer to the ground you can get great drone-like follow shots through esses and bridges and stuff-

Glad to see another Iracing vid. If you do ever play more Iracing I'd love to have a race with you because its my primary racing game. What I love so much about Iracing is the infinitely high skill ceiling. It seems like every single time I hop on the game and put my head down I get better and its such a satifying progression.
I'm so happy you posted an iracing video! you can adjust the FOV of your virtual mirror, it defaults so that you can see a car in it that is actually beside you. I prefer to tick mine down a little bit so that it's not quite so fish eyed.
i really enjoyed watching you play iracing which as that unforgiving touch to it and reality to it...... be looking forward for more videos..

Great video, always enjoy watching you try other sims. Your comment about the difference in braking around the 4:30 mark is exactly what I was referring to the last time I commented. GTSport just doesn't require you to really finesse the brakes as much as other sims do and feels less satisfying to me as a result.
Super Gt your you are heads above all the other RUclipsrs I have watched. Indeed I no longer watch anybody else's videos. You are witty and more often than not downright hilarious. Everytime I get some free time I download your videos especially when I am unwinding after a hard day of work. Your commentary is par excellence and makes me laugh especially when you say BARRIER AAAA, gone into the SHADOW REALM and DEATH BY DYING! When I get home I greet my wife saying SUPER GT here! I raced a Formula Vee at Summit Point in 1982. Summit Point was owned by Bill Scott, who was 1970 world champion FVee driver. That technical section as you called it is known as "The Carousel"

Watching this game has an indescribable sensation when hooking up a corner.. It's like the car sticks to the corner in an extremely satisfying way. Unfortunately I would never play this - not good enough on a wheel yet - but I would definitely enjoy the occasional iRacing video 👍

Got back into it as well. Bought the M8. Got murdered at the rolling start. Had some fun races afterwards. The game is unforgiving. That is what makes the game stand out from others. Now some loadcell pedals and i'll be more consistent hopefully. Enjoyed the video!

Set your brake bias up in the bmws and set your ffb to the strength of your rig and set the ffb brake to 0 for loadcell pedals
Those curbs are in a different dimension... covered with ice. Been on a track few times and even on a bike was able to ride them

So many crossover episodes in the sim racing community :)
For the virtual mirror, you'll find an option in the black boxes to tighten up the FOV to something more natural (if you want that, of course!) as it's at 120 by default. Great for knowing when you're clear, horrible for depth perception. I run it at my own normal FOV to feel natural, but see what works for you!

Hello Steve! Just so you know, while this is a fixed setup series, I believe you can still change some in-car adjustments like brake bias. We all have different driving and braking styles so this might be something you might want to look into. Cheers!
I've been playing some Gran Turismo online lately and it made me so eager to come back to iRacing. I even turned off all the assists in GT, ABS too, just not to get rusty. Sadly my budget is so stretched lately, I could pull off the monthly sub, but everything else is so super expensive.
I hope you continue with it and post the videos so I can experience it trough you.

i think you should try acc because it feels better/more realistic than iracing (for gt3s at least) and has some competitive racing and is a budget option compared to iracing
@@AriesUmbra How is ACC when it comes to people in general? I mentioned iRacing because out of all multiplayer racing I have done iRacing had the most "realistic" opponent behavior. Meaning people racing you are far less likely to ram you off the road.
rFactor 2 had the best feel out of all the games I tried, is ACC close to that?
SonOfSeth SonOfSeth acc is similar to ac, with maybe a small dose of rf2 kinda feedback it's always hard to describe force feedback, it's a bit hit or miss with opponents if i'm honest it's fairly clean but needs proper matchmaking imo

I run the Midgets predominantly, more specifically in the NZSR National Midget Series. Midgets are good fun if you got a working setup.
If you want to run custom paint schemes get Trading Paints. I also make paints schemes so I can make some paints for you if you need.
Change the FoV to not have that "exponential effect" in your mirror.

Did you notice the guy with first name of “weird”.
There is an FOV mirror slider in the settings. I like 90 as it lets you see enough without being too weird.

This is cool to see as I go to summit point at least once a year. Kinda sad the story behind that tracks ownership at this current state. iracing has summit main a little more narrow than it is in real life but still very cool to see
