Tokyo expressway, give you 4 inches worth of track to even imagine overtake and then give you a 5 second penalty when you touch someone’s exhaust fumes

I've been playing f1 2019 online quite a bit lately and so often people will just not brake and boot you across the track. After bouncing off of three or four walls the game will give you a corner cutting penalty just as a cherry on top.

They totally removed track limits at the Monaco finals this weekend lol.
I was thinking the same. Kept waiting for 5 second penalty to pop up and they never did!
They didn't, you can see one or two of those pop up in the races, lexus got 0.5 seconds for cutting the corkscrew in Laguna Seca iirc
That .5 sec penalty is just an automatic. Racing incidents were handled by stewards.
They removed track limits for just the tokyo expressway manu race. Unlike the nations cup race at tokyo, however, they didnt announce it on stream or put it in our info we get. They only told us when we got there which was annoying

I watched the gran turismo final...I'm happy you tried your best
Avoid the bumps in the road, they’re worth 5 second penalty points🤣. My worst experience on this track wasn’t the atom vs wall touch penalty system... it was my inability to find the pit stop. I ran out of fuel 3 times, and had to literally trail someone to see where they pit😵. Sad part is, someone tried to pit sooner in that race, and forced me into the pits, but I was like 🤬 and pushed back coz I thought he’s trying to ram me into the wall, not realizing he’s trying to help me pit🤣
This is me, sometimes. They put them in the silliest spots... like Spa... _what is that about??_ WHY would it not be just before or after the hairpin of turn 1? Remembering to go into that pit lane has eluded me more than once...
Or Bathurst- "did you want to refuel and change tires? May we interest you in a high speed slalom with no room for error, first? No? Bad luck, it's compulsory."
Or Interlagos, where you enter the pits on lap 6 and come out on lap 23 because the pit lane is so damn long...
Nordschleiffe, with its masterfully concealed pit entry on the curve of a dog leg UNLESS you add the GP circuit, in which case its on the straight and the old pit entry is now a low contrast wall the perfect width for stopping cars that forget which hole they're aiming for... 🥲

My son is 4 years old. I was teaching him a couple of days ago being first in the race is the best place you can be in.
6:14 that guy in the lamborghini is doing that on purpose. btw, elgato recording devices have a weird way of capturing frames. all it takes is you to set the youtube player playback to .25% and you'll see it regularly skips bac k& forth between frames, which can cause a weird effect at full playback speed, but most of the time you dont notice it , unless it is particularly bad. set the playback to .25% and you see. it will become apparent quickly

He did. Rears wear the most on ferrari so he put hards on rear. It was too much difference for equal wear though

The 86 Gr.4 is quite the challenge on this circuit. Great handling but no straight line speed.
Whenever a Tokyo race comes up, may it be a daily race or a FIA one, I just dodge it completely. Not because I don't like the tracks that involve Tokyo (I truely like them tbh), but PD just made those tracks undriveable. Penalties for everything, everywhere. And it has always been like that since the beginning.
