Good luck on your new endeavor - we have enjoyed watching your family’s sailing channel for sometime. You all have such great chemistry together. I am sure with your vast knowledge HH and you will do great!
The Sailing Family is an incredible travel channel. You don’t have to know a thing about sailing and you don’t even have to care about it. It’s really incredible how much love there is raising their three amazing children! Just the creative way that birthdays are celebrated is amazing and remarkable! None of us knows how long we will be on this earth and they live everyday like it’s their last day with no regrets. There is incredible love for every group of people that they encounter! Please watch every incredible video, but you can start with Archer and throw some Honeymoon, before the kids, when you have the time!
Great interview. We love Seth and family and think HH nailed it by bringing this incredible cruising family on board. Can’t wait to see Seth on his own 44 (or 55??!!) representing such a cutting edge Cat Builder. I’ve been watching the Ruby Rose 2 journey and thought a SeaWind may be the go but this HH44 looks incredible. It really makes me think we need to see Seth and family on an HH giving ‘on the fly’ commentary and input. Cheers
CHINA IS A FASCIST TOTALITARIAN REGIME WE SHOULD ALL BAN CHINESE CITIZENS UNTIL THE INNER PRESSURE IS SO HIGH THAT THEY START TO RE INFORCE DEMOCRATIC STUCTURES ! ! STOP ADVERTISING AND PURCHASING CHINESE PRODUCTS
Thanks for the interview. Seth gave a really good summary of some key points about construction, the hybrid drive modes, etc. Very glad that HH is trying to build more eco-friendly boats and that they are hopefully producing these in the Philippines and not China.
U Rock Seth! HH Catamarans are the most Extremely Built Cat's out on the market. U will enhance their productivity well over 50%! U and ur Family will be back out on open blue on ur new HH. Sails Up Seth.

I've only just discovered the HH brand. Initial concern on made in China is no longer a concern for me , now I can appreciate the back story. Great interview and having SETH and MH Central is a win win win. I hope the 44OC becomes my cruising home away from home in retirement.
Mar 1 2024. Seth was so right about HH.. They just deliver an absolute beauty to Jason and Nikki Wynn. A 2024 unique all electric state of the art HH44OC Catt. They documented the entire carbon based build process at the factory along with great interviews with the HH team. It's all available on their Gone with the Wynn's channel and extremely interesting.
Seth, the OCs are build with eglass versus the HH being 100% carbon fiber OC bulkheads are made out of carbon fiber $500k price difference between HH50 and OC50
They look like great beautiful boats. Last year at Annapolis I walked over to see the HH cat. I didn't know very much about them. No one was on board the boat, but the person at the front said, "You need an appointment and there are no more appointments." End of conversation. I signed a contract for a >2 year delivery on a Seawind 1600 (Hull #16). Later I found out that the wait for the HH was less than a year. That would've been very interesting to me. The hybrid option sounds absolutely terrific. As a long time sea kayaker I know that the quieter you are the more sea life will come to you and the less stress you cause the sea life. But, I would never want to have a four hour upwind leg with only two hours of battery/electric motor. I'd like to see more video of HH's actually being sailed, crossing oceans, etc...
It’s a great point and subject. The electric motors have a fuel supply like any other motor, but it’s energy stored in batteries. That will be expended faster if punching into head on conditions than if flatter conditions which is why your diesel motors are there as a backup. Sail to your destination, electric motor in between sails and diesel to get out of trouble. Net result is less fuel burn, less maintenance and several options of energy supply
My wife and I found the exact opposite of your encounter to be true with the HH representatives, they were more than accommodating for us without and appointment and extremely gracious and helpful. Boat shows can be tough on the people working, so I always cut them some slack as it's tough to have 1,000 conversations over a 3-4 day period. You should be very happy with your 1600 though, that's a very nice boat as well, and $1M less expensive which pays for a lot of margaritas!
wow, small world, Seth joining HH! love the brand, and hopefully Seth will contribute towards sharpening the marketing, notably the videos, which at times can be pretty poor...
I checked last year and HH44 (parallel hybrid) base price was a few percent higher than the Antares 44 with the parallel hybrid option (Antares publish their price on their website). However, the Antares is pretty much fully loaded, while base model for HH44 still require quite a bit of add-on.
The OC44 is at a lower price point than the HH44 and is set up more for cruising but still loaded with much much more than most production cars of its size. There will be more that comes out in this topic but the approach and construction is on another level so needs close analysis when comparing on price. These are very high on tech
No sir not on these mean machines…resin infused with super strong carbon bulkheads all fused together as one monocoque structure. The strength for weight ratio is unbeatable with carbon. Alloy can provide equivalent strength but much heavier. Alloy is very durable in terms of knocks and impacts if in sketchy locations
Not for nothing but man hours on its face isnt necessarily a talking point for quality. Ive been folding my laundry for 4 days. The efficiency of my folding may improve significantly with a process engineer.
@@MultihullCentral1 A once great Australian inflatable dinghy company went broke soon after relocating to China. My inflatable fell apart before 12 months and was replaced under warranty. The replacement fell apart 8 months later and it was all over for that company. It'll only take one failure for HH to go the same way thousands who went Chinese already have.
@@ahminmabed5166 Yet somehow Tesla cars, iMac computers, all the world's smart phones and pretty much everything else you own (and are happy with) was built there?
@@TheSailingFamily So who exactly is happy? I don't think you feel the mood m8. China is on the nose with 75% of the planet. Aside from "made in China" = junk = slave labour, you'll be finished if they invade Taiwan.
We have two factories. Xiamen China and Cebu Philippines. It is the lower cost of labor that allows for such a nice boat to be made for this sort of price.

Oh this is awesome. Stoked to see this.
Congrats on the gig - we have a hard time with the made in china bit…any future in these being manufactured elsewhere? In America?
I can’t wait until Gone With the Wynns receives their own HH44 so that we can learn everything about it!
Congratulations Seth and wishing the family well from Charlottesville, Va. Wahoowa
