I just tried this recipe last night and they turned out delicious! My husband loved it! I even forgot to add one of the ingredients so I can imagine how good they must be had I added all the ingredients :). Thank you for posting and sharing your talents with us plant eaters. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I just made them and they are insane!!! I didn't have any walnuts so I subsituted them with sunflower seeds :) don't leave out the sage, it's soooooooooo good in it
Good to know all the recipes I am finding use walnuts, which I totally cannot do. I am deathly allergic to walnuts. I keep looking to find alternative ideas to replace the walnuts.
This is a winner! I used to just eat veggies, but recently want to replace my old eating habits like meatballs, burgers and hotdogs! Thanks again for sharing your recipes!
This looks delicious. I was looking for a homemade vegan meatball recipe. I usually eat the Gardein brand which is good but expensive. I really can't afford it. Thank you for the recipe
looks good. sometimes I miss the 'main' component of a meal which would have been meat in the old days, more recently fish and more recently some kind of non-vegan veggie burger but this is great so thank you xx
Hi Anja! Today I made this recipe. I used chickpeas, rye bread and soya sauce. Thank you so much for the tips. I loved it and I really like you channel and the easy way you bring healthy food to life. All the best.
SciCurious thank you. :) Actually someone else already told me the same thing, I but I thank you both, for telling me. I am an animal lover in addition to trying to eat healthy. That's just me, so it does mean a lot to me when it is pointed out to me, of no animal products in the recipe! :D
CookingWithPlants you mentioned that you used a chicken stock powder. The title of your video, is misleading. You used the word vegan as click bait and I really don't appreciate your doshonesty. I immediately suscribe, but now hearing what I did, I will just as immediately unsubscribe.
I can't bring myself to ever use the liquid inside of canned beans. The thought of it makes me lose my appetite. I always rinse mine under cold water for a bit.
They aren't widely available, but jarred beans are better quality, and the aquafaba (liquid) from them is much better.(: You might give those a try? :b
Just made these for supper tonight. YUM I used Bragg's Amino's and chickpeas. Also cooked them about 20 minutes per side because they seemed a little soft (I think I pulsed the mixture too much because it wasn't as coarse as yours so a little softer) still but the flavor is wonderful. Thanks you!
I really love all these videos and recipes, but I really don't like the theme song...its not the song itself, its the production quality is not very good. May I suggest a different opening song, just my humble opinion. Your videos are really great!
I'm starting my transition to vegan/plant based food and also my 5 year old little girl. Your channel is so helpful and inspiring, thank you :) I'm definitely going to try these tonight or tomorrow, maybe spaghetti and meatless balls :)
A lot of people use mushrooms and I'm allergic. I'm so happy to see your protein choices in this. Looking forward to making it. Thank you! Help me out, you said 1 tsp dried sage, 2 tsp dried ??? And, what temperature are you cooking the meatballs?
I'm so excited I cam across the vegan activist bc I've always been looking for vegan RUclips channels who actually show the recipes and now I found the perfect channel. I think this is a great push to get me to go vegan
Hey Anja, Is there a way to leave out the beans? Cause for some reason it tastes really strong like salt even if there is no added salt... It could also be the beans ... Cause they are the only thing I've never tasted before.. Greetings
How did they bake so well without sprinkling with oil or any butter? If its oilless then it's very healthy wow. Can I use blender instead of food processor
Hi there i don't have any. Bread. May i use bread crumbs if so do i need to modify this recipy please ?also if i don't have aminos can i make a miso mix for the liquid, any suggestions ?by the way I've. Made this recipe a few times and. They are the bomb , ty again for your guidance
Haven't even watched the video, but I'll give it a thumbs up for you taking your time to make delicious (assuming) "meat" balls for the public, that don't require the killing of innocent beautiful beings. Thank you!
Im sorry, maybe you allready answerd the qurstion, but what is the thing with the special Salt. Coast celtic Seat Salt.. Or is that just regiular Sea Salt with a fancy Name?
I think I will try subbing almonds for walnuts, they just taste vile to me, as do pecans and macadamia nuts. I'm sure other varieties to do, I'm not much of a nut person. Thanks for the inspiration!
+clare jhang I don't think it will work in a juice blender. Maybe try a thrift shop and see if you can find a cheap food processor there that no one wants ;-)
Tomato, BBQ, vegan mayo, vegan Caesar... anything that you like the taste of. Even a gravy would be great. Check out my website and look under condiments: cookingwithplants.com/vegan-condiments/
I di actually find some onion powder in the large Indian supermarket near to my home. I made cheese and although it didn't set all that well it tasted great and I made macaroni cheese with it.

Love the idea of using walnuts. I've made a similar recipe but with mushrooms instead of walnuts. Super YUM!
Use both.
Thank you for the recipe. I will try it. I went vegan 3-3.5 months ago and have lost 37 pounds, I feel awesome.
Woohoooo awesome!
I just made them and they are insane!!! I didn't have any walnuts so I subsituted them with sunflower seeds :) don't leave out the sage, it's soooooooooo good in it

I'm now officially addicted to your channel! Thx for all this imaginative, delicious and generous work!
+Morgane Gautier So glad you like it :-) x
This is a winner! I used to just eat veggies, but recently want to replace my old eating habits like meatballs, burgers and hotdogs! Thanks again for sharing your recipes!
Nice! These look very good and very capable of a meatless replacement for meatballs! Thanx!
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
My pleasure 😊
This looks delicious. I was looking for a homemade vegan meatball recipe. I usually eat the Gardein brand which is good but expensive. I really can't afford it. Thank you for the recipe
Oh, if you love the Gardein meatballs (like I do), add fennel to the mix, about 1 tsp.
I made these for lunch today, they were delicious! I subbed beans for tvp and it turned out perfectly.
I love that every ingredient goes into the food processor. Super easy recipe. can’t wait to make this
I love your channel! they are always right to the point and such great ideas! :D

Hi Anja!
Today I made this recipe. I used chickpeas, rye bread and soya sauce. Thank you so much for the tips. I loved it and I really like you channel and the easy way you bring healthy food to life. All the best.
These do sound exceptional. Great ingredients too.
Thanks. Enjoy!
Charmian O'Brien her ingredients were also micelle, chicken stock powder. From a chicken. That's not vegan, and that's not cool.
CookingWithPlants you used a powdered chicken stock. Why did you lie to us and title your video of being the best vegan meatballs ever?
Carolyn Mirra She said vegetable stock powder and that she uses Massel chicken stock style. STYLE is a key word there.
SciCurious thank you. :)
Actually someone else already told me the same thing, I but I thank you both, for telling me. I am an animal lover in addition to trying to eat healthy. That's just me, so it does mean a lot to me when it is pointed out to me, of no animal products in the recipe! :D
I hardly ever cook- but it's fun so to watch your channel Anja and I probably need to start cooking more regularly :)
+Silvia Kratzer You won't be ever disappointed with her recipes, they are ridiculously delicious. :)
+Silvia Kratzer Give it a go Silvia... they are super easy to make :-)

They look amazing, I can almost smell them 😂😍
So very well done. Great idea. Blessings. 👍💚🌱
Thank you so much!
Thank youq, I'm a newvegan, I can not wait to make for dinner tonight.
Enjoy!
I can't bring myself to ever use the liquid inside of canned beans. The thought of it makes me lose my appetite. I always rinse mine under cold water for a bit.
Google "aquafaba". It might help you to think differently about the slimy bean water ;)
They aren't widely available, but jarred beans are better quality, and the aquafaba (liquid) from them is much better.(:
You might give those a try? :b
H
I rinse too due to the extra sodium and etc in canned goods.
ohhh thank goodness I thought I was alone!!! throw that liquid and rinse with cold water

+simming Thanks :-) The theme song is a love it or hate it type of thing :-)
I actually really like the song .❤
Def time for a new one. I’ve seen plenty of comments on that. Connie’s Rawesome kitchen has a beautiful new opening song. Check it!
i find myself humming it from time to time and im a producer and songwriter loool. great videos!
@@cookingwithplants Love your theme song! But even if I didn't, I'm here for the food. SMH@people
Made these meatballs.... what kind of sauce do you think pairs nicely. I made a sweet and sour sauce... will let you know after lunch what i think?
How the hell can I give this a 5 thumbs up!!!!Looks really good!
Just made these, they should come with a warning🙉🙉 I’ve polished off six already 😂😂😂😂

Amanda Jayne I buy at farmer's markets :-)
These look wonderful! I’m going to try to make them along with your video ♥️
Can’t wait to make these. They look so yummy 😋
Hope you enjoy 💚
Love it. thanks. maybe I could use ground almonds or something instead of the bread ?
Thanks for the great recipe. I just made this for the second time. I only make a half a recipe. I’m going to put them in my vegan spaghetti.
Just found you! YAY! You have inspired me to be more healthy! Love your channel!
Welcome x I'm so glad :-)
Those look great! I'll have to give them a try!

Thank you so much!
I want to try these!!
Thank you! Looks like a great recipe! :)
*Man you're good...*
T Davis --- Yes, she is great in the sack.
You are so creative! Yum!
Hey Anja,
Is there a way to leave out the beans? Cause for some reason it tastes really strong like salt even if there is no added salt... It could also be the beans ... Cause they are the only thing I've never tasted before..
Greetings
The beans do help to bind it. Not sure why it would taste so salty????
I don't know :(
Rinse away the bean juice and replace it with water.
I love your recipes! Best vegan ones on all of RUclips! Can I use fresh garlic and fresh onions in this recipe? Thanks!
+japaneseninja33 Thank you :-) Yes you can use fresh but I would cook them first.
Will do! Thanks so much!
i dont have veggie powder but how much bouillon should I use in its place?
+water 7light Maybe start with half a crumbled cube and taste the mixture before shaping it. If you feel it's not salty enough, add a little more.
How did they bake so well without sprinkling with oil or any butter? If its oilless then it's very healthy wow. Can I use blender instead of food processor
What's your food processor, Anja? I need a new one hehe mine has burnt out and was too small anyway - your one looks a really good size
+Kate Roberts You can find out more about this amazing food processor via my amazon link: bit.ly/my-food-processor

These look great but what temp do I set my oven to? Thanks in advance ☺
Thank you for the video. To cut back on the fat, can I omit the nuts?
Hi Anja, thank you for this recipe I'll definitely give it a try. What brand is your food processor?
Enjoy! I use a breville
Looks great! What is a good substitute for the nuts? I have a kid with a nut allergy. Thanks for your videos! They are a big help to our family!
I want to know too. Maybe chickpeas?
Chickpeas or day soaked sunflower seeds (soaked in boiling water)
Can I put these into a tomato sauce, you know like the regular meatballs? Would they hold up their shape?
Once they are cooked you could add them in, that should be fine. They hold their shape really well :-)
ooooh I'll have to try these! if making them gluten free what could you use instead of oats? 💛
+Chantel Dawson Thanks. You could try some cooked quinoa :-)
+CookingWithPlants thanks Anya 😊😊
Hi there i don't have any. Bread. May i use bread crumbs if so do i need to modify this recipy please ?also if i don't have aminos can i make a miso mix for the liquid, any suggestions ?by the way I've. Made this recipe a few times and. They are the bomb , ty again for your guidance
Add a bit of sun dried tomato or roasted red pepper, fantastic.
i tried these. Deliciousssss!!
Glad you like them
Haven't even watched the video, but I'll give it a thumbs up for you taking your time to make delicious (assuming) "meat" balls for the public, that don't require the killing of innocent beautiful beings. Thank you!
You womann youuu.. you are brilliant
These look so amazing! +cookingwithplants - do you know if these would work as a burger? Do you think I could grill them?
+Joy Jarvis I haven't tried but it should work
What a lovely Vegan Restaurant, with great environment, I love i it.
Oh Do you have a new camera? Looks great. :)
Thanks
Hi Anya, what make is your food processor please? This recipe looks great! 😃
breville
+CookingWithPlants thank you Anya x
You could try some Pico with this Falafel ball recipe
Im sorry, maybe you allready answerd the qurstion, but what is the thing with the special Salt. Coast celtic Seat Salt.. Or is that just regiular Sea Salt with a fancy Name?
+FuruyaHaKokoniImasu Coarse celtic sea salt. Just not finely ground and not refined. :-)
CookingWithPlants
Ah, its just sea salt with a fancy name, okay. ^^
Do you have a home-made falafel recipe? Could you please do a video on it!!! 😍
I have it in one of my cookbooks but no video at this stage
Yum! Thank you for the recipe!
Thank you for sharing, I am allergic to wheat, but would love to try this recipe. Do you you have a gluten free version?
Just use gluten free bread :-)
Hi Anja, I don't have any granulated onion, what could I use instead? Thanks!
Have you tried any spicy peppers jalapenos red chillies and the Falafel balls
No but it sounds delicious
CookingWithPlants cool
I think I will try subbing almonds for walnuts, they just taste vile to me, as do pecans and macadamia nuts. I'm sure other varieties to do, I'm not much of a nut person. Thanks for the inspiration!
After you bake these, could you give them a little fry? To reheat.
Looks amazing. Can't wait to try it :))
Where did you get the food processor with quad blade ? They seemed to have vanished from stores and the internet. - Dennis in San Diego
What temp is the oven set at for the baking of these? I must have missed that part.
Recipe link is in description.
Is it possible to substitute the food processor with a juice blender? I'm a student who love vegan meat, haha😙
+clare jhang I don't think it will work in a juice blender. Maybe try a thrift shop and see if you can find a cheap food processor there that no one wants ;-)
My vegan meatballs seemed to be a little gooey. I cooked them the way you said. I didn't want to over cook them. Any thoughts.
I love your channel. Glad I found it. 😍😋😋
When I go to your website to print the recipe, the title shows up, but no recipe. What am I doing wrong?
Do these hold up well to being cooked in spaghetti sauce? Thanks for sharing!
Lovely!!!!
I love your channel.
Thanks
Hola desde México
Do you think is possible to use PANKO instead bread (slices) and how much panko should I add?
IS THERE ANY SUBSITITE FOR THE NUTS? ITS GIVING ME ACNE
+רוני שחר Sunflower seeds
Thanks
Hi Anya, just to let people know that some breads are not vegan. Your recipes look delicious. Thank you.
I love your channel! It could be great if you publish in spanish language too! Greetings from Veracruz, México!
What sauce would you use on those?
Tomato, BBQ, vegan mayo, vegan Caesar... anything that you like the taste of. Even a gravy would be great. Check out my website and look under condiments: cookingwithplants.com/vegan-condiments/
Was the oven temperature mentioned (fahrenheit) Thanks! I agree--the best recipes--even though I haven't made them yet!
Can I substitute bread to old- fashioned rolled oats, if yes what amounts.
Anja, what temp did you set the oven at?
Looks good!
can i use my vitamix instead and can i replace the bread w more oat flour?
The vitamix won't keep the texture there. You can try but I don't think it will work.
these sound and look delish! :)
Any substitute for the walnuts
Can you use sunflower seeds instead of walnuts for but allergies?
What kind of stock do you use??? I can't hear it well enough :)
How do they taste ?
They're sooo delicious! Give them a try :-)
what can you use instead of bread
I'm in the UK. I see onion and garlic powder in a lot of recipes. I have never seen these products here. Can anyone advise?
Hi Rachel, I am in the Uk too. You can find them at Tesco, Sainsbury, Indian shops, Waitrose, etc. I hope this helps.
Rachel Hudson I'm an Australian and never use onion or Garlic powder.. You can just use the real thing instead
LouLou That is certainly the best option! : )
I di actually find some onion powder in the large Indian supermarket near to my home. I made cheese and although it didn't set all that well it tasted great and I made macaroni cheese with it.
Rachel Hudson you can make it at home , search on youtube
