NEW PLAYERS PLAY F or even C MOON!!!! hmoon ryougi is THE character for newbies to join and then promptly get their asses beat into oblivion with, its almsot a running joke at this point theyr really flashy but ultimately you're better off learning a different character, they have to put in SO MUCH WORK & still remains pretty low tier. welcome to the neutral reset game! f moon is great but deceptive in how they work, 22a is your ONLY real pressure extender (1:32 wdym plus?! /lh) so keeping track of the knife is essential in high level play
f-ryougi specifically is considered the best character in the game in blood heat, with a 1f massive command grab that does 5000, & a parry that does 7000 UNSCALED DAMAGE
As someone who got into Melty via getting into type-moon from the KnK movies, I really wish someone told me this early on. I love doing basic H-Ryougi pressure but learning combos has been a struggle.
I picked up the game thanks to your video on hop on Melty and this character is really fun to play. I like the F version of it. I also like to play C Nanaya and F Roa
I really do like playing Half. I started melty with her *because* she was an execution monster and I like having something to practice in my free time. In this regard I haven't been disappointed. Being constantly plus and just dispensing mids has never been so satisfying. That said, I mostly play with friends, so the risk of getting absolutely roflstomped when I screw up is pretty low. My second favorite is definitely Crescent. Actually having an air game is a welcome addition, and while it's a dumb reason to like the moon, 6C's step-through animation tickles my brain. Also, getting access to heat and blood heat shenanigans, genei jin, and a crumb of mix with the monkey flips and unblockables is nice. On the downside, the new 5C ruins my life at least once a game with its shorter range. Definitely not the best character in the game, but fun to play and a nice change of pace. Full does NOT gel with me. It feels far too much like a sauceless version of Half moon that, while easier to pilot, strikes me as being uniquely clunky. Being honest, it's probably the stepdash lol. Rare that I care for them. Also not the biggest fan of rekkas, so basing my whole gameplan around their use is kinda off on the wrong foot from the getgo. I put up with them on the other moons, but the extra emphasis and added options turns them grating to me. On the plus side, the lowered emphasis on meter compared to Crescent means that blood heat comes around a bit more, and it's equally as scary here as there.
yeah i have no time for h but f and c seem really cool and i'll try them in the future for sure, who would you pick between the 2 if you were a beginner?
