Dyson uses six 3.6v cells in series for 21.6v. Most power tools use five 3.6v cells for 18v, this means they are starting off low in a Dyson when they are full. They will be too low to work after using a fraction of their capacity and don't have adequate power for boost mode. The Dewalt is not anymore capable, the 20v label is a lie to make you think it is better than an 18v competitor. They are claiming 4v per cell in their BS marketing math (In many other countries they sell the same tools/batteries but are required to label them 18v.) Some brands do use 6 cells those are much better candidates to use with a Dyson via an adapter. 24v tools (such as Flex, Kobalt & Greenworks) are using the same 4v marketing math as DeWalt, they have six 3.6v cells that match the 21.6v of the original Dyson battery
i want to see the Dyson adaptor for my EGO 10 Ah battery...LOL
and the slow mo of the dyson exploding would be amazing!
@@Kitearmy couldn't they put in some kind of transformer to step the power down? that would be awesome if someone could do it :)
@@beezer5623 It can be done - but the weight of the battery would make it super awkward
@ yeah that’s true
just did this. works great!
Glad to hear it is working out for you!
Okay, that is an amazing upgrade! I am impressed
Yes Sir!
.
I have the exact vac & got the adaptor, paired with my Ryobi battery - thank you for the tip!
Glad to help :)
It doesn’t fit in the wall mount anymore since I switched to the Ryobi adapter. Is there a hack for this as well?
Please review the new EGO Power+ DA1400 14" Multi-Head Dethatcher Attachment :)
On it!
How do you get it to work on power MAX mode?
The switch will still work
It works on regular not in max
@@jman8279 Try a larger battery - mine works on max
