I was part of the Cementatiom Mining team that sank the shafts down approx 460m, developed the Mine and then anded it over to British Coal lads. Only to be called back a few years later and close it. Unbelievable.
Just pure madness, such a sad waste of money and miner's jobs. I live in the area and can remember seeing the many boreholes that were drilled in villages in the surrounding area.
