Homemade Heavy Duty Lift Stand For Motorcycle From Salvaged Steel & Plywood

- I went dumpster diving and found a couple of tables with steel frames and turned one of them into a motorcycle lift stand. The silver part of the lifting mechanism, the bolts/nuts and also two of the bushings in the handle itself are recycled Honda CR 80 swing arm linkage parts. Plywood originates from a scrap skatepark torn down years ago and it served it's purpose on the old bent MX lift stand and now lives on attached to the new one. Check it out!

Great work! That’s precision on the locking lever points. Well done. Looks great!
Cheers man. It works great too! Now I need to make a couple of more for other bikes too. :D
Nice build! Presentation at the end was cool :D
Hahaa! Thanks. I had to show it withstands the combined weight of me and the bike on impact. Thus I can call it "heavy duty". :D
PROVED! :D
Awesome video, build and trial skills!
Cheers man!
Very nice build. You made that look pretty simple and better than most of the mass produced ones for sale.
The very end was simply awesome!
I'm glad you liked it. :D
Skills and talent... can't beat it ..... big like
Awesome and simple enough for me to copy. Thanks. :)
Tere! Nice build! As usual! Thanks for sharing,
Tere! :) And as usual, thanks for taking the time to watch what I've created. ;)
This is the nicest lift I have seen on RUclips yet I need to make one 👍
Bunny hop at the end sealed the deal. 👍👍
If there is anything I will remember, that was a class act launching it on the stand
Awesome best diy I’ve seen thank you
Brilliant job, thank you for posting.
Thank you very much!
Best closing ever!
Love your skills dude... always an interesting and useful build with you!
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
very nice build!!
Just got as new subscriber, just for the nice trick at the end...Good job
Cheers man!
That is great! All from recycled stuff!!
Exactly. Recycling old stuff like that is kinda fulfilling. :D
Little show off at the end. Nice.
Yup, being on RUclips is kinda statement to being a show off. :D That's what I constantly do. :D Thanks for watching!
tht was awesome at the end
Cheers! I'm glad you liked it. :D
Great end!
Great Build - Donn! :)

Красава! таку же на днях сделаю
very good always beautiful ideas with a few dollars!
I like that "few dollars" part the most. I must be a cheapskate. :D
really really nice, thank you
Bad ass bro! Good job
Cheers man!
Really nice!
Cheers!
Awesome!
Best part: spanner con rods
Orange must be your favorite color
It's actually red. The camera white balance screws it up. :)
Donn DIY oh lol 😂
Had that very same bike. Wish I still had it :(
It's a great pastime revving around on that thing. :D
Excellent!!!!
Nice one!! I think you projects financing is calculated by the price of welding wire and grinding wheels, LOL. And good riding skills.....
I've thought of that and you're pretty much spot on. If I'm able to acquire material like I've done so far (by visiting scrap yards etc) I could get by with very little on the future projects. :D
Super cool 😎✌✌✌
Good idea
Cheers!
Veri good 👍
Thanks man!
super job
Cheers! And thanks for watching. ;)
Sweet build. I too am a dumpster shopper or County landfill "The County Genral Store" Most everything I make is from old crap. Its a hobby but it sure gets old dismantling stuff , don't it?
It does. I would want to live next to a metal scrap yard. The nearest one is half an hour from my house so I don't usually go there. This recycling center I got these tables and chairs from is located ten minutes away but unfortunately there's not that much steel their at all times. But gems like these steel framed tables are still waiting to be picked even there.
fantastic!
Would you belive that the recycling craze have gone so far here that we are not allowed to do dumpster diving at the "recycling centre" aka "the dump"..
That's sad since there are many things in a good condition one can use even without modification. All of it goes into the shredder instead. We're still allowed to do that but we'll see for how long. :/
Last year there was a really nice ergometer (rowing machine) in a container at the dump, and I have a friend looking for one. Asked if I could please pick it up and bring it home instead of it being shredded.
No luck.. So this recycling thing really sucks in some aspects.
Nice!
Thank you! Thanks for taking the time to watch. ;)
Молодец. Лайк однозначно.
Super
Amazing 🙌💪
Cheers man! Thanks for watching!
Удлиннитель на катушке не размотан,а ты мощной болгаркой пилишь! 1.06-1.07. Это же катушка индуктивности,провод расплавится.Видел такое.
Nice
Thank you so much, i want to teste. My motorcycle honda crf 150. Tank you so much 😄
Nice video bro! Can I ask what is the size of the outer and inner tube ?
Prolly 60x60 and 50x50 mm if I recall correctly.
Excelente trabajo!!! Pasa las medidas!!
Good hammer 😜
Bardzo pomysłowe
Nice build, and you ride trials?! Sick. If I wasn't already subbed I'd sub again!
Cheers. I do ride trials a bit. I don't do competitions or anything. Just for fun around the property here. That's why the bike is old and cheap and somewhat ratty looking. :)
how many times did it take? tell the truth!!!!!!!!
:D :D
5 times, nailed it with the fifth one. :D
Donn the videos are great. I've noticed you were into the farming so you probably got old tractor gear and stuff and that you also burn wood so I was just thinking an excellent project for a video wood be a hydraulic woodsplitter, unless you already got one. What do you think. Send me a pm if you can.
Hey, we do use firewood and a lot of it. If I'm gonna build something for the firewood it would probably be firewood processor including woodsplitter and cutter. Thanks for the input! ;)
Can u give me the measurement pls..
I have 1 question how does it stay up without a latch to hold it in position
You can see it at 6:36.
@@DonnDIY that's not a latch that's a joint bro ... I'm talking about latch latch
That's how it stays up without a latch, bro, at 6:36.
Joonist pole juhuslikult?
Show.
What is this for ????
Are you a custom fabricator by trate?
I'm a wood processing technologist and a draftsman by trade, just tinkering in the steel fabrication area. ;)
@@DonnDIY awesome what is your next project? How many times does it take you to get it right?
Things start working more or less on the first try but more complicated designs need more time and several tries to develop and adjust properly.
@@DonnDIY cool I'm looking forward to any new projects that you make a video about
Show
Size plis..
