Its a very beautiful pot of rice dish. I had it once from an African friend during school days. She promised to make it again. Its the first time I have seen a bay leaf tree 🌳. I am coming to grab some of that amazing rice and I might also bring back that bay leaf plant since its already in a small pot. Easy for transporting 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤🎂💪👍🏽👍🏽🙏🙏💯💯💯🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
🤣❤️🥰 Yes Reza, it’s really tasty! Just give me a heads up when you are coming ok, so I could make a fresh pot, cause this pot is already finish 🤣 Also I will organize a lovely bay leaf plant for you 😊
I was just remembering how I keep hearing about, and want to try this Nigerian fried rice so badly. This one looks amazing just like on this other video I saw. And one just knows by the ingredients that it will taste good. By next weekend will most certainly take the time to stop by this one Nigerian spot I googled near Brooklyn.🤤😋🙌🙌
I have always wanted to learn how to cook this dish it looks soo delicious. Hopefully I'll get to try it soon. I was hoping though that you had leave the ingredients in description box
I have my ingredients and will be ready to go. I was planning on making another recipe but stumbled on yours and I will definitely be cooking my Sunday dinner using your recipe . Thanks a bunch.
Cherry peppers I believe, I may have to do some research and get back to you. Pimento pepper gives the flavor of a scotch bonnet pepper without the heat, very flavorful 🌶️
Ate jollof rice with my coworkers from Ghana many times and loved it. However I wouldn’t attempt to make it.That is too much work for me.Your meal looks real good.👍🏾😍👏🏾
Thanks Kimberly 😊 Actually though, this Jollof Rice wasn’t spicy, the only peppers that were spicy were the scotch bonnet and that you could use according to your tolerance.
It’s actually not, well mine was not too spicy, because my children enjoyed it. I guess the amount of spicy peppers use is your choice Thank you for watching deary ❤
@naty1012 You don't have to use alot of pepper. Use based on your tolerance level. My sister uses 1/2 of a pepper with seeds removed when she makes it for her kids
you did an excellent job with the recipe, I bet the Africans are pleased. ❤
Awww 🥰 ❤
Thanks a lot Candy ❤
You are such an inspiration Lady Racquel... you are my go-to when I'm not sure of a recipe ❤❤❤😊

This is one dish I can not master. I might try again. 😅
Please do 🙏🏾
It’s a lot of work and time but it’s worth it 😊
Looks amazing but I’m a vegan so what would do in terms of the stock that you made?
Thank you 😊
Use vegetable stock instead, or water.
Coconut milk would go great as well 👍🏾
Bay leaf ina savoury dish I can never understand
Hi Racquel, happy Sunday! Your jollof rice looks so amazing! I really want to try jollof rice one day. Do you know how to make Nigerian Banga soup?
Thanks Tyler ❤️
I have had Nigerian Banga Soup but have never cooked it, I may just give it a try😄
Thank you for sharing this recipe. Does pimento peppers have another name?
Cherry peppers I believe, I may have to do some research and get back to you.
Pimento pepper gives the flavor of a scotch bonnet pepper without the heat, very flavorful 🌶️
Hi Raquel you did a wonderful job. But it's alit of work.i made some once I never did again u have to have plenty time you did a wonderful job though.

Look amazing, looks delicious but the peppers make me scared to try. Looks extra spicy
Thanks Kimberly 😊
Actually though, this Jollof Rice wasn’t spicy, the only peppers that were spicy were the scotch bonnet and that you could use according to your tolerance.
OK I will definitely give it a try. With not one scotch pepper . 😂😂😂😂
Look like Caribbeans don't like too much pepper. 😂
When did you put the broth from the chicken in the ric?
@6.03
I always see African youtubers making this but it seem too spicy with all that pepper they blend.
It’s actually not, well mine was not too spicy, because my children enjoyed it.
I guess the amount of spicy peppers use is your choice
Thank you for watching deary ❤

@@RacquelsCaribbeanCuisineYou are very correct Racquel. The amount of pepper you use is based on your tolerance ❤🇨🇦
But it’s not our traditional dish a Di Africans recipe. Over all great cook
