I love all his imput about each character, but I think my personal favourite is about Sephiroth! He knows Sephiroth's potential, yet it is wasted in desire of vengueance and madness.

Was I the only one who noticed his stealth-encouragement to Tidus? "Do not close your eyes to reality." Spoilers: Tidus gives up his existence at the end of FFX; erasing himself from reality. Golbez is telling him that he'll be fine. What happens in two of three FFX-2 endings? He regains existence (which I thought was a cop-out myself, but he was certainly happy about it).

Golbez's surprising nice guy behavior makes sense if you've played Final Fantasy IV - he was just under mind control by the real final enemy right until a certain bearded guy freed him. Everything after that is one long redemption arc for him.
I actually like his quote to Terra in Duodecim: 'Turn from destroyer to angel of hope!' That sounds a bit more appropriate for her than 'No future for the fearful'

Who does Golbez's voice? It sounds like Epic Tony Jay! This, alone, has put Golbez in the spot of Second favourite FF Villain (just behind Kefka, because he's one of the only villains to succeed in what he set out to do).

Golbez here seems more harsh and critical towards his supposed comrades-in-arms than towards those he fights against. Maybe it's just my line of thinking, but the way they present him in Dissidia, is he really on the side he's supposed to be on? O_o
Well he was actually mind controlled by Zemus the real villain of FF4 but after FuSoYa used some magic he regained his senses and became a hero but he couldn't use the crystal due to his childhood sins. Well you were mostly right but I just needed to say that
@DragonSLAYER3545 Some. But compare the few truly hostile remarks to the warriors of Cosmos to all but one against the other warriors of Chaos. Really, darkness or no and regardless of his role in his own game, I say Golbez is questionably placed here.
