I love the reference they make when he fights himself! "This is a fight for me and me alone!" Like when he fought he Dark Knight form to become a Paladin!
Cecil is among my favorite FF Heroes. Having to encourages his friends and tries to see the reason behind his foes' actions. Thank you for the video! I have been wondering when this would come out...
@Heartlesswithaheart I think the fact that Cloud saw what happens shows that he already understood that about Sephiroth. Cloud just couldn't forgive Sephiroth for what he had done. Cloud admired Sephiroth greatly as a child and wanted to become just like him. Then one day his "hero" destroyed his town and killed his mom. If that wasn't enough he took control of Cloud and haunted him in his head as well as killed his Aeris right in front of him after trying to make Cloud himself kill her.
@IAMFEFNIR Well, in Dissidia, they heroes split into teams, right? If you recall, it was at first: WoL, Firion-Cecil-Cloud-and-Tidus, Onion Kinght-Terra, Bartz-and-Zidane, and Squall (Who crosses paths with Bartz and Zidane from time to time) Then, at the ending of the stroies, the paries were: WoL, Firion-and-Tidus, Onion Kinght-Terra-and-Cloud, Cecil, and Bartz-Squall-and-Zidane. So, a few did switch, due to their own paths. What would make sense, is to see how well each person gets along.
Firion: I really hope no one took that the wrong way... Kefka: And don't forget DESTRUCTION! Ultimecia: Wanna bet? Zidane: (First I'm gonna steal that sword.) Jecht: Your bones can though. Gabranth: You know NOTHING, of PAIN!
Likely about who he is. And about what he has become. His existence is a pretty sad one. Sephiroth had been lied too and used by Shinra dam near his entire life and ironically even now he's still swimming in lies. He still doesn't know the truth. Sephiroth being evil is all because of a misunderstanding and him not knowing the truth.
@IAMFEFNIR That's alright. I am umfamiliar with FFXI as well. ^_^" Now, what other places should be added? I was thinking of the Floating Contient from FFVI, Tower of Zot or Tower of Babil in FFIV, The Dreadnot from FFII, Inside Kuza Castle in FFV, Lunatic Pandora in FFVIII, Irvin's Castle from FFIX, and the Omega Dunguen in FFX. Remember, Ceodore is in FFIV: The After Years, so that might be a little sketchy. I do not recall a 'Cosmos' in FFI...odd. But I knew about Garland and Chaos in it.
@IAMFEFNIR Yes, but WoL also fought with Squall. I think it was over priorities and Squall did not want WoL to 'distract' him. Sorry for the late reply.
@IAMFEFNIR I agree, even if they have to enter Ramza (From FF Tactics: War of the Lions) Lightning (From FFXIII) and Luso (From FF Tactics A2) into the game. I think that might work out. Who do you think from the other FFs should be added?
@IAMFEFNIR It would be nice if Cosmos was playable, since I have seen some gamers try to use cheat codes to play as Choas. Red Wings or Lunar Whale? Interesting choice, I am leaning more to the Lunar Whale, because if you look around the landscape carefully, you can see the Lunar Whale parked quite a distance away from the Crystal Palace. I do not know if it should be the Mirage Tower or the Floating Fortress--maybe just the meadow shown later in the first Dissidia for the FFI bit.
@Kytseo *blinks eyelids, amased* Really? I did not know. *Calms down a little and shrugs shoulders* I maybe missed that in the game. However, on the plus side, there is a few bonus dungeons in the PSP version of FFI. Five if I recall correctly. Earthgift Shrine, Hellfire Chasm, Lifespring Grotto, Wishperwind Cove, and Labyrinth of Time. I think I like the Whisperwind Cove the best, the challenges and goodies you get if you survive are worth all of the potions and ethers you will have to use.
@IAMFEFNIR I think Greyon is a bonus boss in FFIV on the DS. I do agree about making the spirites smaller to fit all of the new characters in, but what if the second Dissidia game was on the PS3 or the XBOX 360? Gilgamesh shows up in many of the Final Fantasies, so I do not know from which game it would be best. And Yojimbo had his canine companion in FFX and FFX-2. Hey, That gives me an idea! Why not add Yuna and Shuyin? That would give Tidus a run for his Gil! (Story and identity wise.)
@Scaash both actually, his sctick is that he's a two for one deal, paladin form is a fast, yet weak aerial fighter & Dark Knight is a strong, yet slow ground fighter
I immediately thought, upon hearing what he has to say for Sephiroth, exactly the same thing. Cecil has him figured out better than most of any of the characters in Dissidia.
@Heartlesswithaheart I'd have to attribute that to Cecil better understanding what Sephiroth has been through. Cloud has never killed innocents, Cecil has. Cloud never fell as a hero, yet Cecil was hated by the world for his actions. To Cloud there is good and evil, nothing in between. Though it's really interesting to see when Sephy believed Jenova was a Centra, destroyed by mankind, he hated humanity, yet mankind killed Kluya and Cecil came to love it and the Blue Planet more
@MoonPrincessDivinity hmm... Vaan for one (FF12) Definately Gilgamesh since he appears in many different games and has human form, his combo could even be with his dog... thing... like in FF12. Zeromus in his original human form would be a stretch, but interesting. Also, I think 6-7 characters from one series would be wierd, so they could do a smaller version of all the elementals fusions like in FF4 DS but make it smaller like they did with Jecht's EX form. What was he called again... Greyon?
@IAMFEFNIR Definilty Seymour. Tidus hates Seymour on a more likely case of the half-guado not wanting to stay dead or keeps trying to steal Yuna. Did you see the reaction from both Tidus and Yuna when Seymour forcivly kissed Yuna? Talk about barely surpressed rage! I am not sure if Volmav (Ack! I can't spell his name right!) or Delita would be the better pick. Delita is under both Anti-Hero and Anti-Villain if you recall in FFT: War of the Lions, while Volmav is a fanatic. (No offense!)
@MPD Well FF made the guys smaller because gigantic monsters versus normal heroes would be... cheap e.e but yea. Just think about it, in the special greyon separates and all four attack with inferno, maelstrom, tsunami and... bad breath...? Idk about Yojimbo since he is an aeon (but if they did Bahamut has to be in too!) Yuna=Yes Maybe not shuyin, but yea that would be a good idea in some cases, but Shuyin isnt exactly a bad guy and FF wants to keep it equal... Seymour or Yu Yevon?
Cecil said he will best Warrior of Light in battle, will fight with Cloud together ans with Squall, he said he will enjoy a duel with Zidane, don't hold back Bartz and do not fear Terra, child onion your light will grow stronger and yes Firion let us seek dreams together but NO WAY a fight with you will be easy Tidus, AWESOME Tidus gain true respect from the Paladin and he acknowledge Tidus as a great foe.
@IAMFEFNIR That would be interesting. ^_^ Now I am haivng a hard time figuring out additional villains for FFI, FFIII, FFV and FFIX. Seifer from FFVIII could work, Rufus or Hojo-FFVII, Ultros-FFVI, Leon(?) from FFII, and Larsa's 'brother' in FFXII. (Sorry, I forgot the name. ^_^" ) As for heroes...White Mage or Red Mage from FFI, Maria-FFII, Lufia or Ingus-FFIII, Rosa or Kain-FFIV, Reina/Lenna-FFV, Locke or Celes-FFVI, Rinoa or Selphie-FFVIII, and Dagger/Gernet or Beatrix-FFIX.
@LordManda2 Hey, if Kefka can get along just fine on a "kill everything" policy, I'm willing to give Kuja the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he's doing...
''If all you have is power, you are powerless!'' they should have thought more about that line, becaus it doesnt make sense. If all you have is power, you DO have power. But if power is the only thing you have, you are weak.
@MoonPrincessDivinity oops sry forgot to respond :P Yea I double checked. no cosmos... but she should be a playable character... You're right, Ceodore is a stretch... probably just Kain (since he can transform too in FF4:TAY, its with ceodore but its way too awesome to keep out!) Those are good! FF4= red wings ship. The BG changes as the course moves! Ooh! Or maybe the Lunar whale! you fight on earth but then it goes to space and then the moon! Oh btw, its called the omega ruins in FFX
According to a final fantasy which character are you test I took on line I am Cecil Harvey, and WOW I'm not kidding I do sound like this guy in real life.
"Powerless" meaning that he has no authority and no one can take him seriously is what he was getting at. I could be wrong, of course, but you know how everyone makes a crack at his rambling over the Void.
I can't believe it took me until Shantotto to recognize Cecil's VA as the same guy who did Riku in Kingdom Hearts! (It was the word "Darkness" that clinched it)
@MoonPrincessDivinity Delita is a yes, Volmav... er... an interesting pic... but i guess He'd be alright... Id like to see The intro between FF4 Cid and FF7 cid battling each other!

@MoonPrincessDivinity Favorite character! Favorite game more like... If they make a final fantasy Dissidia 2 the 4 elemental lords better appear as characters or SOMETHING!
Here's what I don't understand. If they are already going to spoil the fact that Golbez is the brother of Cecil, then why did they go through the trouble of excluding Zemus from this game and making Golbez the primary FFIV villain? It doesn't make sense to me. Golbez = Good guy, not bad guy. Just play After Years, you'll see what I mean.
"This is a fight for me and me alone." How did I miss that reference?
Your level was too low in the DS remake so you got destroyed and couldn't connect any attack. Thus, you missed.
I love the reference they make when he fights himself! "This is a fight for me and me alone!" Like when he fought he Dark Knight form to become a Paladin!
"Rule does not mean tyranny". ***spoiler alert*** At the end of FFIV, Cecil is crowned the King of Baron. So, he knows about how to be a good ruler
Pretty much, which makes the match with the emperor a bit more personal.
Does not**

the fact that he is a genectic mutation and that people were using his mother for selfish profit (just a guess tho)
In crisis core you can kinda see how he's kinda full of sadness but it gets overthrown by his hatred
That he's pretty much a science project for profit gone wrong
His entire existence is an inhumane science experiment, plus he was sent to war at an extremely young age his only 2 "friends" betrayed him afterwards
