So, apparently the secret is to weld the spider gears and then beat the hell out of them. Who knew!

Have you come across the wrecker tow arm for one of these bad boys? My dream is to turn my 48 into a Willis wrecker

I have to second that! Poor little Jeeps. I know that they can do it. But have you seen how much those things cost now days. Those guys are beating those MB’s and 2&3a’s like red headed step children! Some of the lines they chose on the trail are just ridiculous. Geez all I hear with every crunch is cha ching, cha ching, cha ching$$$.

A Willis isn’t expensive…. You can spend just over a k upto 100k, just like any other car

@@frankthetank6558 well, I’m putting together a Cj2a right now and I paid 500 dollars for it. I thought I might get it running and drive like it is for a smaller amount because I wasn’t going for a full restore just a patch up. I’m going to have right at 3k in the engine alone because I took a gamble. Not to mention the transmission and transfer case rebuilds because they were shot too. The front and rear axle rebuild while I’m at it and the brake system rebuild and the body improvements to make it usable and I spent almost 800 dollars on seat frames. After getting into it the wiring is shot and needs to be replaced. Then gauges and a top and tires. I don’t think that people don’t get lucky sometimes and buy a Jeep cheap that’s more or less working well enough, because I’ve been that lucky once or twice. But Jeeps that were like that that they are tearing up were maybe 1,500-4,000 just a few years ago but now those Jeeps are 7, 10, 12, to 15,000 and up in decent shape. Junk is more or less a few grand now. So I say that’s expensive to me. It’s all relative though. Those who can afford it can say they’re not expensive but I say they are because I don’t have a lot to spend. But I fell in love with this Jeep and the character it has and I’m going to get it going for my family and I to enjoy. My boys and I are building some great memories. Even with me doing most of the work to save money it’s going to cost a small fortune. I’m sure it’s a lot of fun beating and banging an old Jeep through the trails but again because I know what it cost whether or not a Jeep is given to you free, eventually it’s going to cost lots of hard earned cash. Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket! Those old Jeeps are banging and crunching and scraping and slamming on rocks and I just think with them getting harder and harder to find it’s a little hard to watch them being destroyed on stupid rocks. Go get another vehicle to torture on rocks. But they sure do look cool doing it. Doesn’t mean I like it. Just my two cents worth.

@@SyncedCyberSoule enjoy the video selfish, let me cringe. That’s what’s wrong with the world today people can’t just disagree anymore. Everyone has to force their opinion on everyone. All I said was poor little Jeeps, that every crunch sounds like money to me. Are you saying I’m wrong. Do repairs fall out of trees? My opinion is to preserve and protect the last of the living jeeps. Yours is to sacrifice them for your enjoyment. I say enjoy it and I’ll wish the dumb dudes would think maybe he should choose a different line of trail and not the rockiest most bouldered path he can find. We’re both right silly!!! Enjoy the conversation too silly! You’re the one who responded. Not me.
