@Farrister: So how do you think the personalized hangars are going to affect the loop? Having to move all the boxes down the Reclaimer's Cargo Elevator and into the Hangar "Storage" Elevator feels like it's going to be a massive pain. I know they talked about "Auto Unload" for a fee, but also said it probably wouldn't be an available option for some time. Do you think having to manually unload all the crates is going to have an large impact of Salvage efficiency. If "Time is Money", feels like it may be a hinderance. Thoughts?

Thanks for this. I'm curious about the intended multi-player game loop? If there are two players: a pilot and a salvager, what is the pilot supposed to do during the extensive salvage phase (assuming the pilot doesn't have a way to speed up his life x12)?
The Reclaimer has 2 scraping heads, one on each side. Two crew can scrape the same ship, which makes scraping very quick. Farrister just didn't show the other scraper because his whole point was to be solo.
If I’m flying with one other friend the pilot just moves ship to reposition for the scraper stations. After that both players can be on separate stations while the pilot seat is empty
@@AndrewJens no prob. I’d say an ideal amount for reclaimer crew currently is 3-4, 1 pilot, 2 salvagers, and 1 person on standby for topside turret or to rotate down in the processing bay doing hopper/cargo grid duty.

I was looking forward to saving up for this ship for a long time in-game, but the reworks to the claw totally killed my hype for it. I find some of the sped up parts sped up a bit too much. I'd like to see that hangar walk and walk through the Reclaimer, perhaps at 2x speed. Instead of including some 12x stuff, just cut it out. If it goes too fast to see anything, there's nothing to see and all that time it still takes is wasted.

I kinda wish the vulture didn't mix a scraper and a tractor on one trigger by default. makes me buy a second tractor so I can run one set of tractors and one set of scrapers. A little muddy design compared the clean and simple scraper beam of the claimer.
So I’m sure it’s going to be patched but once you scrape and you break up the ship you can scrape it all over again, really get your monies worth if your paying for salvage contracts.
nice video. but using the trawler arms seems not very profitable. you took 1.75 SCU RMC off a 20k contract. barely profitable. better use double abrade, maxing out the profit/h. (and i personaly think they are even more satisfying :D) keep that content going, i like you chan.
It being THE salvage ship, the single mining head point is... lackluster. I guess it's to prevent a player from working solo but... Nah.. Let people do their thing. All I see is a T-Rex with those tiny arms lol.. I feel like one seat should hold two+ salvage heads.
I can't wait for that! But without maelstrom being available to break ships apart, the claw is kinda useless as its intended to be. Cutting beams on both salvagers is missing too. Watch for maelstrom updates. Salvage has always been my dream since 2013.
I've taken to parking my Carrack in orbit and then taking the Reclaimer up to strip and scrap her. Insurance fraud? Whats that.... Gives me 80SCU or so of RMC plus 240 of CM.
You are so lucky. I can't wait for the day you decide to go out solo reclaimer salvaging and a pirate comes and scoops up all your cargo, because you went out alone. Simply silly....
I’ve done hours of solo reclaimer salvaging and have only run into AI pirates once. Never another player. I go to the Yela belt for panels and steer way clear of Grim Hex
@@CallMeTeach2 Even if you do get pirated once and a while, you make so much money with the reclaimer you just write it off as a loss and move on. It's not like commodity trading where you have to spend your money to make money. You're literally printing money.
@thefryinallofus yeah, but salvage prices are bound to change, so it won't stay the most profitable thing in game, and along with that, it may not even be pirates that end up messing with you. 4.0 is going to be the patch of Murder Hobos, so you might just die because they wanted to kill you. You never know, so it just makes more sense to me to have even some random players with you would be a better idea than just running solo. I'd rather not have to wait for a claim on a reclaimer. Its been patched out, not sure when though. May be in 3.24.
nice video.
but using the trawler arms seems not very profitable. you took 1.75 SCU RMC off a 20k contract. barely profitable. better use double abrade, maxing out the profit/h. (and i personaly think they are even more satisfying :D)
keep that content going, i like you chan.
It being THE salvage ship, the single mining head point is... lackluster. I guess it's to prevent a player from working solo but... Nah.. Let people do their thing. All I see is a T-Rex with those tiny arms lol.. I feel like one seat should hold two+ salvage heads.
Farrister posts?

Thankfully the Reclaimer doesn't cost that much :P
We all just want the real claw we backed for!
Now show the real uneditted gameplay, where you get jumped by four npc's or players and get popped in a few seconds.
This is the real gameplay!
@@CarterDDana crazy. I must just find pirate servers. It's always such a battleground.
Especially when the claim timers change again.
Wow, my English was so broken toward the end of that. Lol
I absolutely agree with all your opinions regarding salvage. Can we be friends? 😁
Sounds like it xD
