I like the subtle humor (compared to Borderlands) I also like the very simplified character building system that forces you to make real choices, and those choices have a huge impact on your playthrough. Loving it so far, what a great surprise

As in NOT BETHESDA. Obsidion made fallout new vegas I believe while bethesda obviosly made games like skyrim and fallout 4

It’s amazing how they completed new vegas within such a short time I’m baffled and I’m not even remotely educated in game development

The little details in this game are amazing, I love that picking up certain items puts them on the unreliable as decorations

Something to add about weapon modding your weapons to different elements: if your weapon has no element then you should always add one to it. Making your weapon elemental doesn’t make it do any less damage than vanilla, it just means it does more to certain enemy types. The only exception here is N-Ray on automechanicals.
Because of the effects of N-rays, I prefer it on a long range sniping weapon, especially when enemies are grouped up. For close rage, I prefer a weapon with either plasma or corrosive elements.

What difficulty y’all playing on? I started on hard but quickly decided that I wasn’t in the mood to slog through the early levels, so now I’m on normal. Might bring it back to hard a lil later

Day one. Started on supernova. Played for 3 hours and died over a dozen times. Got my first companion and she died in the first fight we got into😐. Going lone wolf melee build. Super hard early game.
Why start on supernova just go on hard duhh

I bet someone is working on a mod to add supernova difficulty features to all difficulty modes.
I recommend doing a second playthrough with companions, they have some nice companion quests, and a lot of unique dialog. They will know and have history with some of the NPCs you meet through out the worlds. The companions get to know eachother as you run around adventuring. And they will comment on the environment and join in while you are talking to other people. Especially if it connected to their expertise.
The writing for all companions is pretty great in my experience so far.
Obsidian did an amazing work with the companions. I am not usually a huge fan of companions in games, but here they are probably my favourite part.
Parvati is probably my favourite companion of all time. But there is a great verity between the companions so I think most people will find someone the really like.
If you want full experience then you will need companions to be alive

I did a combat medic, so I’m skilled with guns and medical. Very useful for survival.

Thanks for explaining the hidden abilities on guns and needing to use the slow time mechanic to use them. I thought this is what i discovered while playing, but wanted to be sure
The stolen items make sense. Like how would they know it was stolen unless they had some sort of marker on it?

Yeah,first person feels a bit like controlling a camera with arms,having an old fashion hollowed out Tv on your head so you can"t see the sides or viewing the world with only one eye so ur peripheral vision goes from 180 to 90 degrees which is why its so easy to miss side openings or stairways in corridoor shooters like F.E.A.R. Tell me do you absolutely NEED a companion in this game? cause I"m a lone wolf

Became exhausted with fallout 4 crashing, picked this game up on game pass. So much fun having a great time!
Many ads, in video ad, and the info provided is on the level of, you have guns and if you push the fire button it will shoot.

I’m only playing in hard mode & this game is pretty challenging compared to old Obsidian titles! I gotta do a lot of hiding in cover lol. Using my companions abilities a ton! I love it. It’s just crazy man lol

I got this game from gamepass, it has a fallout feel to it. But it's a whole new experience that I love so much. I'm having a blast with it so far.

I've been playing a little bit of this game and its amazing, I see a lot of influences from other games too, it seems to take every aspect from all the best modern RPGs and makes them better, while drawing from old school games, I also think that this will be a slap towards bethesda being like this is what your new games could have been, which I find that really funny
I'm really enjoying the game. Played 24 hours day 1. The story/dialogue is really good.

JimmyZero All RPGs games haven’t been true RPGs in the last decade (and longer). They have all been dumbed down and multiple features have been combined into each other because DEVs have been gearing games for casual gamers.
Except this isn't a bug-riddled mess like Fallout 4 or an objective failure like 76.
Hey, I’m playing supernova and have neutral temperament. But I find that my character is concussed almost all the time, preventing passive health regen. Do you know how to cure it(the only solution I found is sleep but I don’t want to go into my shop after ever combat encounter)

By the way you do have a stash in the game it's in the captain quarters on your ship and there is a transfer button when looking at it, I'm using it to store my named weapons I find or science weapons but those are good fun so I'm keeping them on me.

a question about the consumables: i know that in supernova mode you have to eat, drink, sleep, etc. but in the other modes does eating even matter? and is there a difference between eating lets say the bread and putting into the hotbar to be used with the inhaler?
are there bonuses for going companionless like in fallout games?
So I've done everything I can but there's still a few worlds I haven't been to and can't get to, is there a way I can get to them? Is it a story thing I have to do to get to them?

Back in my day the game came with instructions book. Now you have to play the game for 2-3 hours before you realize that you don't know how to play the game, then go watch RUclips for another 3 hours trying to get enough tips to figure it out.

at 10:40, I didn't understand the explanation of 'goes down instead of up' when shooting armoured enemies - how is that indicated on the screen? The second shot you took with the rifle seemed to work the same way

Juice was that "Euthanasia Kit" in your inventory an actual weapon? I haven't seen that one yet.
I don't know if juice head said this or not but if you have below average intelligence you get access to special dialog options that are classed as dumb dialog options.
Has anyone figured out how to add the whisper quiet muzzler to a rifle? I have the hunter's rifle, but it won't let me add the whisper quiet muzzler to that rifle because it doesn't allow me to add barrel mods to the rifle. Weird!
Brian P once you acquire a higher level version of the rifle you can equip barrel mods.

I just started this game because it was on sale on Xbox. I’m instantly hooked and these tips were helpful. Especially the healing item slots which are particularly well explained in game. Appreciate the vid 3 yrs later😂
Been enjoying this game slowly but surely its its something iv got to get use to since these past few rpgs have taken me out of the traditional ways of playing i find my self enjoying dialogue and enjoying taking different routes in conversation lol im going for a charming scientist kind of guy where i charm my way through and know my tech but slowly dish points into stealth and ranged

when you go to character menu, on the top left there are a few numbers. 2 of them I don't get. The little gun icon and the armor icon. They don't seem to match the damage or armor rating I have equipped. What are those?
Your amount of weapon scraps and armour scraps. You need them to repair your gear. Get them from breaking them down.

David Jay Enable time dilation and hold your crosshair/reticle over the enemy. Make sure you're within range.

I played for 2 days, this game is super fun.
Wow. Fifteen minutes of solid talking with absolutely no pauses is pretty hard to take. After that last "Later!" the silence hit like a thunderclap! 😉
Just wanted to know if you could turn off the damage numbers
A few things really kill the experience. I miss being able to pick up EVERY weapon and piece of armor off someone and I miss the hacking and lock picking being an actual minigame not a hold x until its unlocked. I'm sure I'll find more, but it's just sad small things like that aren't implemented
I think they did this on purpose for balance reasons. The problem with the lockpicking and hacking minigames in Fallout/Elder Scrolls is that they effectively remove the RPG element from the skills. If the player gets good enough at them, they can pick any lock with only 1 lockpick. This method of using an actual resource that costs less depending on how good your character is at lockpicking brings back the RPG facet of it; lockpicking and hacking really relies on your CHARACTERS skill, rather than the PLAYERS skill.
I think it's great there's no ridiculous amounts of loot here, too much clutter for me
@@steazymccheesy2649 There is a ridiculous amount of 'trash loot'. If you don't think so, you don't loot and steal enough.
@@dra6o0n lol, yep. I'm picking up and stealing practically everything that's lootable. It's a LOT to sort through... but it's worth it.
Crime in this game is inconsequential. If they don't catch you, it's not a crime.
Negative rep from murders do pile up, but it should fade over time as well.

I'm really enjoying this game...something that has been lost to me for awhile...thank you 76...and while I have completed it once, I am running another character build, even making him dumb since the dumb speech is an option again. Kinda wish there were more, but its still funny.
