WHO ARE KARA AND NATE?! - We decided to take a year off to travel the world in January 2016. Daily vlogging was not the original plan, but we quickly fell in love with it and now post a video every day! About halfway through the year, we knew we weren’t going to be ready to stop traveling in December, so now we have a new goal of visiting 100 countries before 2019! On our channel you can expect to see the best foods and adventures of every country we visit ;)

Q: How do you stay in shape and fit while on the road travelling?
Without going into all kinds of prices of things, I have a suggestion. For every city you visit, tell us how much a cup of coffee costs? And a bottle of water. From these 2 things, most of us can tell, how costly a place is. Love the videos! Sometimes, I think you tell to much, but overall I find the vlogs entertaining and very informative.

Great video guys! Quick question when you get the chance... You seem to travel so light, but seem prepared for so many activities, what are your go to items, and what do you feel like you left behind that you need? Also, you both seem to stay in good shape, do you get chances for work outs and if so, what are your go to work outs to burn off all of the meals! :) Great stuff! Enjoy and be safe! :)

I LOVE the way this vlog was edited! All of the little asides, exchanges, interruptions, etc., were actually engaging and entertaining. It was like being in conversation with friends. That's one of the things I like most about your style: while well-edited, vlogs always feel informal and intimate.

Must tell you a little story.. Me and my friend was to Nepal in Dec and did the everest basecamp trek. It was a tough but beautiful trek. On the way up we had this game, spot where Kara and Nate has been!:) Stupid, but fun when we ran out of conversation.. Watched your vlog a few times before we went on our trek.

You guys should try Skylodge Adventure Suites in Peru! They're like little pods on a cliff where you have to rock climb to get to your room! Mt parents are going to Peru this summer and booked one, it looks sooo awesome! Really seems like something you guys would be into!

Q - you guys don't often seem to carry a bag who you go out to explore a city. I carry my phone, money, tissues, sun cream, water etc etc. I'd love to go without carrying it. Can you give me some tips?
You guys missed so much of Uruguay! 20 minutes west from La Paloma is Cabo Polonio, a beautiful get away hippie town. 45 minutes east Punta del este. La Paloma was a good base but no for a 4 days stay 🤔.

Enjoying watching some of your older videos. I often travel to Vietnam as that's where my partners family is. There's one more version of Pho you may enjoy if you ever go back. It's fried rice noodles (deep fried pillow noodles) topped with pho flavoured beef stir fry. Maybe you've tried it? There are so many good foods and restaurants there, especially coffee shops :)

That music at the intro is from a very popular Russian/Soviet movie. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it in your video haha. A pleasant surprise! The movie is called 'Служебный роман' (''Office Romance''). You can check it out if you want (there's a version with subtitles on the web), it is considered to still be one of our all-time favourites and a piece of the golden era of Russian cinema.

Always book direct with the airline. If sonethimg happens during the trip its much easier to get it solved then having to contact the OTA.
When i'm travelling, the only thing i miss is Peanut butter in combination with dutch 'hagelslag' for Breakfast, if you need to choose one thing, what are you really missing from home?

I think we mostly know just English because we don't have so many surrounding countries.
Over there there's so many different languages that you can pick up on because they're all so close and you can be there in a couple of hours.
You're exactly right!
While there may be a certain amount of truth to this, I certainly feel we Americans also often have a certain arrogance that we're all that and a bag of chips, so everyone else can just learn to talk with us. I work with many international students and it constantly amazes me how MANY languages many of them speak at one level or another.
I want to add that I think it gets worse the further one is from the coasts. I'm in the rural Midwest and we are certainly more culturally isolated than folks on the coasts (including the Rio Grande Coast :-) ). I love flying out of O-Hare in Chicago and just sitting and listening to all of the languages spoken!

I am 15 and I can fluently speak Dutch and English. Dutch is my native language and English is a fixed subject all high schools and some primary schools in the Netherlands. Furthermore I can speak some basic French and German and I can translate some Latin and Greek. These are all subjects on my school and this is the highest level of high school education possible in the Netherlands. :)

Make sure you visit Perito Moreno glacier when in Patagonia and I hope you dont miss out Iguazu Falls while in South America, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.
Martin GS it's truly amazing to visit, if you can get the power boat ride too, it's worth it. we did it in the morning, and then walked the falls ( in hence so you can walk and dry off your clothes in the warm sunshine! ).
