Two familiar faces met us in Quito to spend a few days traveling together! We got a local breakfast, did a free walking tour, ate chicken feet soup, and rode to the top of the mountain to overlook the whole city!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

I went on the teleférico when i went and it was also foggy but it was also pouring rain and thunder storming the ride up. Its a great place to visit

They say in Quito you have 4 seasons during every day. It is near the equator so it rains almost every day.
Rafał Barchanowski haha it doesn’t rain every day, just in winter. November-April which is the rainy season. Other than that it is the 4 seasons in 1 day and you have to be prepared for anything haha

The Salsa is what you would call Chili in the US and Mexico/Central America. We call it Aji and we don't add hot spicy stuff to our food for the most part because children can't eat it if we do so it's always available if you want to add it. :)
Ecuador has a special place in my heart (my cultural background is Ecuadorian/Italian) and my first taste for world travel was at 2 years old when my grandparents took me from New York to Guyaquil, been back a few times since but need to return soon. And I know I'm biased, but the food truly is spectacular, hope you tired encebollado and or caldo de bolas.

If you go to the Plaza Grande, the large central square in the historic center of Quito, on a Monday around 11:00 or so, you can watch the ceremonial changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace. It's impressive.

Last April, I watched your Ecuador vlogs before I went on a school trip to Quito and I have gone back to watch all of your vlogs up to this point and I finally made it, 340 videos later! Going up the mountain reminded me of going up Snowdon in Wales, ten minutes into the climb we went into fog and when we got to the top we couldn't see a thing, two thirds of the way back down the fog lifted and so we did get to see a little bit of the scenery 😢
That's not really fog. You were actually inside of a cloud.
Nice vlog guys. Really cool to see your mates back in the vlog. So interesting hearing the difference in sound with you using the G7X again. We're using the G7X also and the sound is the one thing that I'm finding so hard about it. We've set a target for upgrading so fingers crossed we get there soonish (10k subs (long way to go haha)). Many years later, haha, but it's called and "empanada de viento" which means "empanada made out of wind".
