Sooooo, to conclude, Indonesia produces pretty great tasting instant noodles, since we all liked at least one from the 4 noodles we tasted haha XD
Also, to those asking, Nick wasn't able to make it to this shoot coz he wasn't feeling well. And we put the US in Steph's nametag because although she's half Japanese, and half Korean, she was born in the States, making her an Asian American. Hope that answers your questions! :)

You put indomie after mie sedap so it's normal if you say that indomie is plain. Because sedap's seasoning is more than indomie. If you cook, you will realise that sedap's seasoning is more than any other instant noodles

It's sad that they feel sorry for not choosing indomie when sedaap and sarimi also Indonesia's brand. They don't have to feel sorry for that. And everyone can have their own taste, u can't really judge it. The most important is, they enjoy Indonesia's food. Eventho it's the instant one

Sama, aku juga lebih suka mie sedaap, mie nya lebih lembut teksturnya.
Mi Sedap adalah pilihan utamaku buat mi favorit. Enakan aja, apalagi aku suka makanan dengan banyak rasa, dan Mi Sedap bisa ngasih aku itu. Kalau Indomi rasanya lebih... Hambar menurutku, apalagi yang original 😅

@@flaminggale4344 iya, mangkanya aku kalau makan Indomie kuah, terutama yg rasa soto, aku suka tambah cabe, bawang putih, ma telur biar lebih kuat rasanya.
No one commented about this, but protip for those who gets bored of them noodles. I didn't care about them for some couple of years just because I was so bored of it, but then I tried to spice things up. Try mixing different noodle seasoning just to have some funny flavors, sometimes it works, sometimes it turns weird but everything is in MSG and it's palatable. Take another step further than just blanch it in hot water and mix it with the seasoning such as, make it into some bechamel based pasta using egg and cheese, use some mushroom or other aromatics into soup based noodle for some wild flavor, or even some lime to freshen things up, there's so much things that you can mix on them, that there's no boring anymore. Just have some moderation with it, just like anything in live. Too much anything is not good for your health.

omg rhea! great minds think alike, finally someone who likes mi sedaap more than indomie- especially the mi ayam one. my second favorite is gonna be pop mie but the gledek and dower one (it's very spicy), and then indomie, then at last is sarimi because i eat those the least out of the other three. but hey, for me every instant noodles is always delicious. my stomach is already growling just by watching this video lmao

I've thought about this probably since I was 5 years old or so, but for me, the best Indonesian noodle is *Mie Sedaap* !!! #TimMieSedaap
Because I grew up in a family that doesn't really put MSG into the foods.
Indomie is too salty for my preference, the msg dominates the other tastes, just like a bunch of other Indonesian snacks because duuude the factories do love to put a lot of salt and msg. (And eating em make me feel guilty because it always feels like I'm gonna turn stupid in a short time.)
Indomie also kinda tastes similar to one another, and not in an authentic way... More like, again, maybe because the msg dominates everything.
I prefer rich tastes that balance well. Mie Sedaap has it in them. The amount of the seasonings are just right and balanced, the msg doesn't dominate the rest, and the color+texture of the kuah is decent (if that makes sense).
Also, you can see the gap in color between Mie Sedaap and Indomie's mie gorengs. Indomie's color is far lighter because they don't put that much seasoning. Only makes sense when it turns out bland.
P.s. This is probably why I prefer Korean instant ramyeons because they have thicker broth with rich taste and seasonings instead of just msg dominating everything else. Ha.
About the noodles, I feel like Indomie's more ... solid? Anyways it takes more time to boil because it refuses to go soft and chewy in a short time(?). This means more time, more energy (LPG gas) used, and it's no good for the nature resources. AND, it makes me worried that they might put too much pengawet in the ingredients. (Even when I only eat noodles, I prefer the healthier one, y'know.)
And because Mie Sedaap has more mie in it while Indomie feels lighter... never really check the netto, though, but feels like Mie Sedaap wins that term.
And lastly, back then, there were more hospital-related cases caused by people eating Indomie, not by Mie Sedaap. So it's kinda ... uh, childhood ... suggestive ....... Yeah, _that_ .
Finally I'm done. Hah.

Sarimi is popular not only outside of Java. It's popular (even more popular than Indomie and Sedaap) in rural areas in Java, for instance in North area (Pantura).
Also, Indomie, Popmie and Sarimi are all made by the same company. So liking the other two more than Indomie won't hurt the company (and your chance in sponsorship).

Gado, ada ide nih: Battle of Kerupuk!
Berhubung kerupuk adalah bagian dari tradisi dan kultur orang Indonesia sama halnya kaya sambel, hampir semua makanan menggunakan kerupuk dari nasi uduk, nasi goreng, bubur ayam, soto, mie ayam, dll.
Emping, kerupuk ikan, kerupuk udang, kerupuk bawang, kerupuk pangsit, kerupuk kulit, dll.
Dimana-mana ada kerupuk, dari warteg sampe restoran, dari warung sembako sampe acara nikahan, perayaan hari raya lebaran sampe natal.
Bahkan mostly Indonesians like "I couldn't eat without kerupuk!" or "It's strange to eat without kerupuk".
Dan kayanya ga ada deh konten kerupuk kalo ngebahas soal Indonesia padahal itu salah satu unsur yg melekat pada masyarakat Indonesia.

i just did, but only 3 of them cause i dont like popmie, so my result on the rank:
1. indomie goreng: I like it cause smell of chili sauce and soy sauce blend together to make it so fragrant and increase my appetite, but lately indomie quality is reduced, dont know why.
2. mie sedaap goreng: 1 thing i like about mie sedaap is that i can eat the fried bubble cracker snack (something) while waiting the noodles untile cooked, just it.
3. sarimi mi gorang ayam kecap: this just won quantity by 2 noodles, still lose from indomie goreng jumbo by 1,5 noodles + quality of the flavor.
