The active track is definitely a really nice feature to have. The Mini has the ability to track you in a small area, but gets distracted if it sees a squirrel lol. It’s good that the drone stopped when it lost you. Awesome vid bro. Ride safe,
Hey Buddy - I know this was an old post on your platform but I just showed my 16 yr old son and friends your video as they want to use for wakeboarding tomorrow in Sacramento CA ! Thx Buddy!
Right on. We have plenty of open space where I live but such a boring landscape. I did consider getting a poor man's drone w/tracking but from what i read, it is difficult on fast bikes so never got one.
Nice video! Quick question though, do you need internet to run Follow mode? I have a drone link subscription and have access to the " on the fly "app. But not sure if it will work without the internet when I am in the countryside.
@@nicholashall2126 No but you are limited to a 100 meter distance with no joystick/controller, watch this video ruclips.net/video/EWcMhpEtypA/видео.html
@@GurrasGarage thanks I’ve done some deep diving into skydio two plus and the mavic two and unfortunately I’m going with the skydio that object avoidance is way superior over dji
I had one of the dji mavic mini, never could get the apps at the time ( over a year ago ) to work with any of my android phones so I gave it to my nephew lol
I guess the best way to make a tracking video with a drone is still with your passenger controlling it (probably needs a rear seat support to have their hands free) or a friend in the area controlling it
@@GurrasGarage Thanks for the tip👍. I have Mavic Air as well, and loved filming. I screwed up my active track at 07:01 of the video, shd have watched your video earlier ruclips.net/video/nhLFpdOkUvM/видео.html
Thanks! Mavic Air 2 would be a good choice. I dont think Mavic Mini have follow me/active track. I have the Mavic Air original and it works fine for me. And it is smaller than Air 2 so that is a big plus IMO.
I think it works ok, i´ve been using it quite a lot over the years, you need the object to track to be very different from the surroundings, for example a green bike in a jungle wouldn't work very good 😆 This is the first generation of Mavic Air, I understand the newer models track much better.
Hey man, great video ! 👍🏻 tbh i just search for people which still using Mavic Air 1, which i do struggle to find, because almost everyone already upgrading to Mavic Air 2. Its good that your drone still works great, its been almost 3 years since the mavic air released date, isn't it ? Due because i've planning to buy Mavic Air 1 from my friend (which he didn't use it anymore, so he sells it) I do want to ask some questions before i decide to buy it (please answer these if you had time, i need your suggestions, it will affect my decision to buy this 🙏🏻 also sorry for bad grammars, english is not my main language) : 1.How is your Mavic Air 1going now ? Did there any issues that ever happen when you use Mavic Air 1 so far ? If there is, can you tell all of them in details ? 2.Did you still updating its firmware ? Did the firmware update routine for mavic air 1 still exist ? Or they stop it ? 3.If Mavic Air 1 get an accident, is there any service or partition replacement which still exist to repair Mavic Air 1, or there are no more ? Thank you if you have time for reading this ! 🙏🏻
Cheers! It still works great, no issues or problems. I haven't seen any new firmware updates in a long time, so its possible they stopped them, but dont take my word for it. Contact DJI by mail and ask them. I dont think you can buy the replacement warranty anymore for this drone, but you can send it to DJI for repair. Mavic Air 1 is still a fantastic drone, if you can get it at a good price and with some extra batteries go for it!
I've got to give this a try. I'm glad it works on a motorcycle. Thanks for sharing!
Ain't nobody talking about how good the game graphics are!
🤣

Thanks buddy, I'm not sure why it drifted away but probably because of the hard wind. Or maybe it spotted a squirrel 😁 RSMF
This be a great idea for short films
I like how the drones do that, so cool. great vid.
Thanks Kev 👍

how well does it track whilst going fast off-road for example?
Not very good but this is an old version newer models tracks much better
Great vid !!
So reaLly cool 😎

Glad you like it, and thanks ! 👍

They dont fly very fast, you can of course speed it up in post, but it won't look right.
cinematic view
Looks good right

There great aren't they the view is great.
They are amazing, the new Mavic Air 2 is out but i´ll keep mine, the new one is bigger in size.
It would be great to have when you’re out jogging camping etc.

Ha ha ha!!! Cool man!!
What app is this?
Awesome I want one do you have to get a pilot’s license?

What is the title of your intro music sir? Thanks
Is the drone louder than the bike? What do you think?
my bike is definitely louder
Wow gps follow very” good
Whoa..this goes to show you must pay to play, this is one smooth drone.
Kerennnnn 👍👍
I SEE THAT THE VIDEO IS ONLY ONE YEAR OLD. DO YOU STILL HAVE THE DRONE FULLY FUNCTIONAL 🤔?
Yes, it works fine
I have so many huge redwood trees I don’t think it would work
How fast can you go?
Is there a range or speed limit?
30-40kmh, no range limit
Learned something from your video. If putting the controller in a bag, remove the joysticks first. Or don’t use them at all
🤣
Thank you brother I really enjoyed this video ❤❤❤❤👍👍👍😍😍😍

Active track/Profile its pretty easy to chose if you have the Mavic Air
