What a great box! I like your videos, because they show me, how it is to work when the skills are still not that perfect 🥰. But though your projects are always so cool.
Thank you! Of course, I want to make a perfect thing but it's all about to enjoy! You know when you can see your improvement from the last project, you become happy and that's all about it:)
I really enjoy your videos. I think its lacking some nice quite background music though throughout the video. I think that would boost videos like these more. Keep it up!
Thank you for the compliment and the advice. I wish I have a good sense of music, haha! In reality, I feel there is more than 50% of chance that my music selection/timing/volume control will bother people so I purposely don't use music. Though I check and learn how people insert music. We'll see how it goes:)
@@YRTi I will say the different music you used at the end of the video was perfect. It was relaxing and complimented your voice and flow of the video wonderfully. I think you are doing amazing and Im excited for you make it big on youtube in the future. Any tips you can give me? Im in the process of editing my first video. I think specifically your thumbnails are done extremely well!
Thank you, Gabriel. I can't give you advise on the technical things but 2 things I always tell myself are, don't pretend to be cool and also make contents for people to enjoy, not for my self-satisfaction. Then, I just hope I can have 1 new friend tomorrow:)
I live in Europe in a country with rather uninteresting wood selection, but the normally mundane looking wood can be transformed by trying different finishes and methods. Birch is a favourite.
Thank you for the comment and the information! Birch is my favorite, too. Maybe one day when I sell my stuff, I should be concerned about the finish. For now, I'm the one who use what I make so I enjoy the simple finish:)
Very nice! One trick is if you leave the miters slightly long, you can put them together and then saw down the gap to center up and get them on where they need to be too, just don't go to far lol Off to the description to see about the shirts!
Hey amigo! As a video idea at some point could you do like a small overview of the Japanese woodworking tools that you use to do your projects? I'd be super interested in that, and I have zero doubts that other people would wanna see it too. Thanks for making vids man, have a great night
Thank you for the comment and the idea! Tools I use are basically all bunches of under $50 cheepo(maybe even under $30 in Japan) but yeah, I added the idea to my to-do list shamelessly, haha:)
Thank you:) I don't have confidence in it either but I just want to show how I do it to encourage my level people or beginners so they can feel better, haha.
The box turned out great. I would not have noticed if you hadn't told me about the problems you had. If anyone else notices, tell them to get out of your house....lol.
@@YRTi Nice!! I am trying to decide between either a 1-1/2" or 2" Irwin Marples chisel... to add to my existing 5pc set (1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1). A larger sole/reference would be very nice for paring! I wonder if a 2" is too big, lol... but, it sounds cool, kinda like a plane-blade w/ a handle, haha.
Oh I think that is the same chisel set I have! Haha, a wide chisel always looks attractive to me, too but it's all depending on what project you do and I think something like a 1/2 - 3/4 mortise chisel would come in handy as an addition to the set:)

Are you kidding me , those joints are perfect for me 😢 as a beginner like to do joints like you 😅 , thanks for sharing 👍😊.
Thank you! All I can say is, just be happy with what you make while analyzing what can make improvements!
@@YRTi Agreed 👍
Nice work, some wobbles on material cutting, handling & clamping, but you will pick it up in time. But you made a great looking box,so be proud of it
Thank you for the advice:) My natural laziness came out that I knew it's wobbling but I just kept going... haha!

Another great inspirational video, thanks.
Thank you for another inspiring comment to increase my motivation! Haha:)
Beautiful work
Here, too! Thank you for watching multiple videos:)

Thank you for the tip on the miter and the shirt. I'm a beginner of everything so even this shirt thing, I enjoy learning:) Again, thank you!

Looking forward to the wood dimensioning video! This is one of the things I have the least confidence in HAHA

Yes please!
Thank you for watching my video right after publishing again:)

Thank you. It's actually hard to see in person so if anyone notices it, I'll thank her/him for paying a lot of attention on my product:)
YRTi rocks! I'm hoping that It's possible to get a T-shirt in Australia
Thank you, Kevin. I just saw the email:) I'll figure it out and get back to you!
Looks top!! Nice work. I'm the king of the gaps 😂and needs more practice.👍
Thank you! I enjoy thinking what makes the gap and how I can avoid it! I found woodworking is very logical:)
What size chisel is that? It’s big!
Thank you for the comment. It’s 1-1/2”. I wanted a wide chisel so I can clean up a surface better:)
