Can you speak to Kieron Maguire about Antony, because as if I understand amortisation right, then selling him would reduce the transfer budget by £15-£25 m.
Which are Maguires two biggest weaknesses. So a pretty good player, plus he's still young and therefore coachable. Still not worth over 50 million however.
Antony went from €30m value at best to €90m and €30k/week to €200k/week. JB wud prob go from a low wage to Maguire wages. Sancho went straight to €350k/week.
Joe needs to stop romanticising Rashford and his goals. He’s only ever hit 30 goals ONCE in TEN years and even then it’s only ever been across all competitions. He’s never hit 30 just in the premier league. Hell, he’s never hit 20 in the league in 10 years. He’s only ever come close twice, both times with 17 goals in the 19/20 season and 22/23 season. Other than that, his numbers are 5, 5, 7, 10, 11, 4 and 7. Even across all comps, he’s only ever hit 20+ 3 times. The other seasons have been 8, 11, 13, 13, 5 and 8
@@SpotlessLeopard don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he shouldn’t be sold (admittedly I’m on the fence about it) but every time Joe talks about him, he makes this comment about how “he’s a 30 goal a season player” when he’s consistently proven he gets nowhere NEAR those numbers. Not in the league OR in all competitions. The one time he did it ii think was under Ole
@@nickcollins5191 I'm firmly in the 'sell' camp because in a year or two, if he has any more seasons like last, nobody will want him. We'd get 20m at best. As it stands now, clubs almost panic when it gets to August, and I could see him bringing big cash in. Good luck to the lad, but it's best for both parties if he's moved on. I don't see us ever winning a title with somebody that often underwhelming in the side.
Only 10 players have hit 30 goals in a season in the premier league, it’s a pretty high bar tbh. Rashford’s highest is 17, which he has done twice, and that’s a great season for a an inside forward. If he did that season after season then I’d be buzzing. But really 20 goals in all comps per season would be more than enough if it was consistent.
£50m net spend this year could mean 5x £50m players signed on 5 year contracts. £170m net spend could mean completely revamping the squad a la Chelsea.
Instead off paying £70 million for Branthwaite. You could probably get Pavlovic or Incnacio and a good right sided defender like Bremer for that money.
Just wondering if greenwood ain’t sold by the time pre season training and tour starts will they leave him behind or bring him along cos if they leave him out we’ll get less money for him as clubs know we aren’t going to use him or we bring him see if any of the drama about him dies down and see if we get money for him then. It’s just a really messy situation
We need to keep Rashford. Looks unlikely we'll sign a right winger (Olise looks off to Chelsea), leaving us with Amad and Antony. We will very likely need to play Garnacho on the right for spells which means Marcus starts.
As usual; Jay is the most right or the one that i tend to agree most with. Especially on Rashford. The 50m nett is due to last 2 years of ETH, Murtough and Arnold. He is right about booting Anthony out. Bit should be net 0. As he would earn £21mil over next 2 years; we should accept fees around £15m for him; where it all goes to Anthony. Going on that; why sell AWB. Get him on an extension of a 3 + 1 year at 90k/week to match ETH rubbish darlings like Malacia as well. We should rid Malacia at net 0 cost to us too. And get Netz or Doughty. Unpopular opinion is also subjective. E.g. online; Its ETH in and Rasmus is mint. In real life, amongst older ones; he is a poor version of Lukaku and his shot should have been given to Charlie McNeil. I still cant get over the fact that we spent more on Rasmus than on Sancho; when Santi Gimenez was available for £30m
Joe always likes to make out rashford scored 30 league goals. It was 17 league goals, 6 league cup, and 6 europa, a good season, but hardly a world class 1. Don't forget the fact that in that season, he was crap from February on wards. Add that to last season, and there would be no sleep lost from me if we sold him
Casemiro can still do a job for us. If we sell casemiro, then who are we going to bring in? We've not even signed amrabat yet. I really hope he stays. We need him for his experience. He's the only one in the team who's won champions leagues, he won titles on a regular basis. KEEP CASEMIRO!
Although he did annoy the fk out of me this season I think yous are right. A Marcus Rashford with his head in the right place will be invaluable and I think the way INEOS are doing things will make for an all round steadier ship for him to get to that place. The thoughts of us selling him, he gets himself right, and starts banging in 25+ a season for the likes of PSG would definitely piss me off.

To Ste Howsons inner nerd- Regarding Chelsea spending 1 billion on players..... I think I'm right in saying that TB bought Chelsea cheap, on the proviso that he spent 1.4b (I think was the number) on players and infrastructure. They already have one of the best training grounds in the world. They can't build up and out cos the council won't let them. Where else could Chelsea possibly move to considering the lack of space in London, heritage and the COST OF £UCKING LONDON! I'd suggest Chelsea HAD to spend a billion on players or face huge problems with the government (who were involved in the whole process). Is this where Chelsea claim in the future that any punishments the PL give Chelsea would be deemed unlawful????? Effectively, it gave TB a license to play fantasy football. It doesn't matter if they make a loss on the players bought as it was money already written off due to the conditions of buying the club. If it works, you've just created the Cockney Real Madrid. If not, you sell for whatever and that would be pure profit for ffp reasons (or whatever they're calling it). Also the 8 yr contracts helped spread the cost over 3 periods of ffp (the losses clubs are allowed, are calculated over 3 year periods). I know this has nothing to do with united but this issue has been bugging me for some unknown reason and I'm sure if Ste jumped down the rabbit hole I'm sure his inner nerd would get it clarified.

We shd take a leaf out of Citys book and rather than spending 100 mil on one player buy 2 3 players totalling upto 100 million.. Even if one clicks its a success... Statistically speaking how many of these 80+ million players have lived up to their price tag?? Personally for me barring Ronaldo nobody has justified that price tag.
if a player refuses to come back and play, the club can claim all lost transfer fees they paid for the player to the value cost and sue him for wages, and if they have evidence of drug abuse in a player they can as Chelsea did claim all transfer fees and cost's from the player involved

Rojo, Bailly, Maguire, Lindelof were not improvements or reliable. Martinez and Varane with Evans and Smalling as the backups the last few years would have been far better to me than what we got 😕. I understand it’s unpopular 😂
@@davidgriffith1552they would have gotten slated into obscurity if they stayed
@@dColorOfBoom undoubtedly, thus the unpopular part 😂
What happened to last week's Brew episode? I am suffering from withdrawals...Howson said it was recorded on Friday so was waiting for it in earnest
Can you speak to Kieron Maguire about Antony, because as if I understand amortisation right, then selling him would reduce the transfer budget by £15-£25 m.
Branthwaite is literally Maguire with pace and better turning radius
Which are Maguires two biggest weaknesses. So a pretty good player, plus he's still young and therefore coachable. Still not worth over 50 million however.
So... A decent player? Still not worth 70 mil, though.
A fast Maguire would be a great defender
Antony went from €30m value at best to €90m and €30k/week to €200k/week.
JB wud prob go from a low wage to Maguire wages.
Sancho went straight to €350k/week.
And the bike slags you off! Classic.
The other seasons have been 8, 11, 13, 13, 5 and 8
Round about 70m would be brilliant business for United for a player who's possibly already played his best football, and doesn't seem to care.
Let people have their own opinions ffs
Mctominay Rashford Maguire Evans AWB out as a MINIMUM
Respect really sad news R. I. P Kev
Get rabiot on a free good squad player,we need a rio Ferdinand type defender I think we’ve got are vidic in Martinez.
Loan Antony to a good team in Portugal. If he has a solid season, we can use him to get Neves or Inacio/Diomande.
How do I get to the merch store
I just wish that Rashford would accept a pay cut, I don't like us paying anyone more than £250K p/w.
Some of the fees other clubs are getting for their academy players to get round PSR should be used during our negotiations. Don’t get low balled!
Lol big man Jay coming with the merch
I don't think Howson understands the term "double bluff"
Need a sell on fee for Mason on top of the transfer fee and add ons
thank you ste for saying fergie tarnished his legacy with the glazers support, no ones perfect, and its rarely spoke about. Still love fergie tho
Joe always likes to make out rashford scored 30 league goals. It was 17 league goals, 6 league cup, and 6 europa, a good season, but hardly a world class 1. Don't forget the fact that in that season, he was crap from February on wards. Add that to last season, and there would be no sleep lost from me if we sold him
Jay driving a Deebo “bargain” on that bike. 🚲
Rashford needs adding to the sale list.
By Joes logic having a more similar player in the same position as Dalot, surely Lindelof would be the player we keep rather than Maguire?
Maguire has a two year deal. Lindelof has a one year deal and Jose wants to bring him to Turkey. Sometimes you gota take what you can
@@YS9136 yeah fair point
Casemiro can still do a job for us. If we sell casemiro, then who are we going to bring in? We've not even signed amrabat yet. I really hope he stays. We need him for his experience. He's the only one in the team who's won champions leagues, he won titles on a regular basis. KEEP CASEMIRO!
None of that matters when your legs go and you age mate
Although he did annoy the fk out of me this season I think yous are right. A Marcus Rashford with his head in the right place will be invaluable and I think the way INEOS are doing things will make for an all round steadier ship for him to get to that place. The thoughts of us selling him, he gets himself right, and starts banging in 25+ a season for the likes of PSG would definitely piss me off.
No McKola again .... BRILLANT 😁
People saying he’s better than John stones was at that age. He’s not as good as Phil jones was when we signed him at 19 and look how that turned out
we're doing a dortmund saying we're skint.

To Ste Howsons inner nerd-
Regarding Chelsea spending 1 billion on players.....
I know this has nothing to do with united but this issue has been bugging me for some unknown reason and I'm sure if Ste jumped down the rabbit hole I'm sure his inner nerd would get it clarified.
what set united back for 5 years is appointing ole as a manager, not signing ronaldoo
Keep lindleof sell Maguire, shouldn’t have 4th choice CB on £190k a week. Keep AWB no need to worry about right back this year.
It's Insane to keep him. He's looked ok for a team conceding 20+ shots a game. His got no pace, his passing is awful. How are we going to play a high line and pass through the press with him. This is the last chance to get some value for him. His wage is now more attainable for club now were not in the champions league
Lindelof and Maguire both need to go. Not getting younger.
TLC back in the house
We shd take a leaf out of Citys book and rather than spending 100 mil on one player buy 2 3 players totalling upto 100 million.. Even if one clicks its a success...
Statistically speaking how many of these 80+ million players have lived up to their price tag??
Personally for me barring Ronaldo nobody has justified that price tag.
I liked the video just for Stevie's fuck off, for Southgate😂
So these clowns want to sell Casemiro for 35 million which will give us 1 million profit and then who the hell is giving us 70 million for Sancho?
And no one goes in on Jack Grealish, arguably the biggest 100m Pounds flop playing in the best team in England because he is English.
Every year a list like this happens... And none of it happens
if a player refuses to come back and play, the club can claim all lost transfer fees they paid for the player to the value cost and sue him for wages, and if they have evidence of drug abuse in a player they can as Chelsea did claim all transfer fees and cost's from the player involved
Jose was the answer to a question noone ever asked.
