I'm hoping (like we all are) Amorim is not another villas boas. He is held up in such high regard, but look at what the pressure and media have done to all our managers post Sir alex, they have all petered out and left beaten men. The club has to protect this guy from day one, he will need an arm around him from all the guys that bought him in. If this happens , then he has a chance.

Away at Fenerbahçe, there was a lad behind me who kept shouting, “GET OFF THE PITCH” every time Zirkzee lost the ball. A lot of people were murmuring about him.
Sounds to me that Amorin is another "system' Manager, just like Pep. They have a set 'system' , never deviate from it and go after only players that fit their 'system'. When United were at their best, they never had a 'system', they never went after players that fit their system, they found players that fit their needs. Case in point, when United lost their title to City on Goal difference, SAF went out and got someone who would score goals. Robin Van Persie. He never worried if he was great at hold up play, whether he was good with his back to goal, or if his pressing was up to speed or if he could drop deep and bring people into play, etc, etc. He knew RVP could score goals and that's what United NEEDED. So , again United have gone after a 'system' guy who will force players to play his 'system' instead of a Carlo Ancelotti type who plays the best system to fit his guys. That's what Ineo should have considered with their next hire. It seems to me that this move is the same as the move for ETH in the first place. He couldn't get this group to play Ten Hag ball, whatever that is and he didn't have the coaching mantle to figure out the best way to play to get the best out of his players. Wonder if Amorin is more Pep or Carlo?
Casemiro has had really good performances this season. Keep him and try to reduce his wages with a new contract. He'll be a Rolls Royce until the age of 38.
It’s a shame that Joe and Jay have such low standards for Rashford. It’s says a lot about where he’s at with his football. I think it’s better for him that he moves on
People keep talking about his 343 system as though it's 5 defenders. He plays with 4 traditional wingers, his "wingbacks" are both midfield wingers, his 10's are wingers. His version of 433 is incredibly attacking.
Joe throwing shade at Amad because Ten Hag didn't rate him! Ten Hag is the man who thought Antony was worth 80 million quid, I wouldn't trust his judgement of players!
Rashford gets rid of managers for fun. The reason why they won't let rashford go is because they bias to people who not only come from the academy but to players who are local lads. So no matter how shit rashford is u will never hear him being held accountable the way let's say an anthony would be.
Agree with SH on just about everything. There should be a follow up video that shows which teams are going to be able to, or even want to be able to afford the wages of these players in relation to their quality that are in the sell column. That would be cracking if it could be accomplished but don't see it happening.
Everything he said made sense, maguire you keep by default, he's reliable and can play in a back 3. Why get rid of maguire, Evans n lindelof all in the same summer, maguire is the best out of them 3 to keep. And amad is over rated by utd fans n still unproven. His numbers are terrible and he hardly ever looks like scoring.
Finally we are starting to sign players with character as well as ability. De Ligt, Licha and Mazroui in defense is a game changer for this team's mentality.
I don't know if he'll stick with the 3-4-2-1 but it's quite likely given the success he's had. I like the fact that he mostly uses hardworking wingers in the fullback position. I'm no tactician but it makes Sporting exciting to watch.
28:46 'they've just f***ING binned off 250 staff AND Sir Alex Ferguson, let's see you be that ruthless with the squad' couldn't have said it better myself
For the all slander Bruno gets for having a quiet period, look at the the amount of fucking football he’s played. Plays easily 60-70 games a season when you factor in our lengthy cup runs and international games. Virtually ever present, never injured (he’s made of steel), and you need only look at the handful of games he’s missed over the last 4 years to see how little we create without him
5:00 conte and tuchel got success from 3 at the back , lvg tried playing 3 at the back in his first season and didn’t have the right centre backs to play it (Blackett rojo McNair etc). No one cares what formation we play we just want to see improvements on the pitch
I don't know enough about this manager, but he's going to have to get a tune out of what he's got for the foreseeable, with 2-3 key signings next summer. The key test here will be INEOS and their recruitment strategy. Delivering players/options to the manager, not just indulging him by bringing in a load of his ex players, or punts on players that are available (Mount)
Don't know enough about Amorim to judge if he'd be able to help Marcus in terms of his confidence/mental health/general unhappiness at United and all the scrutiny and pressure he's under here but my question is; where and how does he fit into Amorim's 3-4-3...3-4-1-2 etc....and could Amorim improve his game and get him to adapt it enough to justify him picking up £325k a week (or whatever it is) and the same goes for a lot of our current squad. Marcus, Casemiro, Mount, Maguire and Anthony's wages are a genuine issue for INEOS....how many of them would be a mainstay of Amorim's starting first team, how many would be consistently on the bench, how many would be rotational options/cover for injuries to the first team? One of the problems we've had is that when we have an injury ravaged season our best Academy players that could have done a short term job have already been sold, loaned out or deemed not ready for Premier League football.....but we've got Anthony, Sancho, Mount, Lindelof, Shaw, Malacia and I'd argue Zirkzee and Rashford either not playing at all or playing but not justifying their place or their keep....the problem is that right now there are no players in the Under 21's or U18's that look like they could cope with an extended run in the first team in place of those players apart from Collier and potentially Amass.
Is he good enough? Do you really trigger the clause in his contract & extend for one more year paying him 190k per week to sit on the bench? Release him. Invest in young CB on 50k
Feel like I’m going insane because I’m the only person that seems to think mount (if he can stay fit) will be a monster in the new system. Off the ball pressing is his speciality and in one of the two 10 positions running off of Hojlund he should show some real quality, certainly better suited to that role than rashford would be
'Getting a contract at Manchester United should mean something, it should mean you are one of the absolute best in the world at what you do!" I could not agree more, with this statement from Stephen Howson - Much of the mess that the club is in, is a direct result of the previous executive circus accepting consistent mediocrity,. It is acceptable for players to have the odd off day, but my god, many of the United players, look like they are just doing the bare minimum to keep them at the club!
Fans over rate him that's why.. he's not that good, technically he's good but his overall output isn't utd standard. He doesn't look like a player capable of getting 20 goals a season
The thing with people wanting Shaw today, they're hanging their hopes on the 2 good seasons he had forgetting he was bang average most of the time & injured the rest
Mazraoui hasn't put a foot wrong so far. He's not really getting assists, and he may never, but if he keeps up this form, he's gotta be considered one of the best right backs in the league.
i don’t see why you’re so keen on getting rid of mount. he doesn’t have a long term history of injuries so he’s just been unlucky, if he leaves and performs at another club we’ll be kicking ourselves for letting him go
The last 3 seasons have been significantly impacted by injury. Often muscle injuries as well. I believe he is going the way of the likes of Michael Owen. If he does manage to be consistently fit he may need to adapt his game to prevent constant injuries and likely won’t reach the heights he reached previously
Mason Mount is a funny one. Chelsea’s best player when they where winning the league and champions league but struggled with us so far. Maybe the system?
Amorim might well bring more goals, on the basis that happy attackers play with more freedom. Look at what Ole managed to do. Seems like mood in the camp plays a much bigger part than what fans give it credit. Players trusting the managers style is huge. I just hope we see less selfish play from our wingers/providers. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season now, there's at least a chance things will change without EtH

There being other players we want/need to sell more is irrelevant. Just because we can’t sell Luke Shaw (example) doesn’t mean we should keep Amad if an offer is available.
@aaron3626 I duno why fans hype him up so much. He's technically good and looks pretty smooth but he hardly looks like scoring. He doesn't get judged by rashford or even garnachos standard, when we speak rashford hes always judged by his G/As output.
@@aaron3626the thing with diallo is that he's out of contract at the end of the season. He can't be going into negotiations expecting bruno or rashfords salary, he should be offered incentives, he still needs to prove he's good enough to get 10 league goals etc, he's still getting baby numbers
His formations at Sporting don't use wingers. I'm concerned therefore, that he'll want to sell Garnacho and Amad. I hope I'm wrong because they're talents we should be keeping.
He does, they just become inside forwards which is perfect for Garnacho and Amad because they can link up. He’s used wingers as wing backs too so Garnacho could easily fit there
@@sethtrollins4202, he could but then, that's assuming that a) he rates Garnacho and Amad as inside forwards and b) that either or both have the defensive qualities that he will want in wing backs.
but if they don't fit in the system - why keep them? Maybe they can play as wingbacks?
@@tolkienfan10 they don't get into any other top 4 team
@@tolkienfan10 His wing backs aren't particularly great defenders; just bodies in that position really. They are far more important to the attacking unit.
I would like to see United have 3 or 4 players in every position and 2 of em good ones, specially up front, gimme that luxury style team. I know numbers and salaries count but I don't care about a billionaire paying em I don't worry about. Keep most of em, but sell the toxic ones cheap!
Wanting to keep Onana, one of the worst keepers to ever play for the club, is both hilarious and worrying.
No standards.
Did you watch Bartez? And the one before him? 😂😂 Or or and the other one after him? Before Edwin joined...
Stephen says lets be ruthless, but wants to keep Rashford?
We've done this same video 2 years ago and the same players who fail to perform are still here. Players have FAR too much fucking power
“ I don’t he did fuck it let him go”absolutely fucking classic
I like Rashford, so I'd like to see them sell him to PSG or someone like that. He needs a change of scenery and United needs to free up his wages. He'd be pure profit for PSR too.
He'll always carry the whiff of what if with him, but I just find the idea that at 28 he's going to turn it around with all the negativity on him to be unlikely
Diallo was sent on loan for 2 years. Joe.... shut up!
😂
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's Amorim!!!!

I disagree with shaw. Because of his injuries we won’t get anything for him and will probably have to pay him to leave. Can play as a wingback and he is quality, keep as a back up to a new left back.
Definitely keep. But as a CB.
Wild shout, Antony to be used as a wing back and become an integral part of the team. I don’t believe this but it would be wild eh
He threw a tantrum when ten hag asked him to play full back in 87th minute in the past, the guys got the wrong attitude for it.
@ yeah I remember. If the manager could get him to simplify his game a bit and tame the childish attitude the guy has got the work rate for a wingback. Have to stress I do think it’s unlikely though and would much rather him not be at our club 😅
You are going to let go of lindelof and casemiro for the reasons you wanna let them go and you choose to keep Maguire and Rashford. Stop it, they aren’t good enough or consistent enough if challenging for top silverware is what you want
Good interview with Welbeck on Sky we shouldn't have got rid LVG 😡
Lvg done some stupid stuff like getting rid of Jonny Evans who was our best CB and Leicester won the league on his watch
Joe and Jay are obviously too comfortable with us being shit for so long. it shows..
I think people already writing Zirkzee off is mad. give him a run of games and let's see, also can't judge a player off first season (the premier league is a different animal). Let's remember It can take certain players time to adjust
I do want Ruben Amorim as manager but there is too many players that wouldn’t suit Ruben Amorim system at the club. So another big clear out for next season.
He doesn’t play wingers he players with 2 CAMs, He plays with 3 CBs and doesn’t play with full backs he uses a right mid and left mid
Said this in another comment. Our attackers don’t want to play like wingers either so they’ll be fine and Garnacho could even be a wing back if we want to be mega attacking
@ I’d like us too sign diomande or inacio for centre back either one. Probs summer tho not January coming up. We need 1 more centre back
@@leemassey24 Have you not learnt that allowing managers to bring in "there" players to the PL is a mistake. We wouldn't look at those two players if it wasn't for the new manager. Any good CB can change to a 3, its more difficult going from a 3 to a 2.
@@leemassey24If we’re getting anyone it’d 100% be Gyokeres for me and Hjulmand possibly. But there’s some solid CB’s out there, and I do believe he’ll enjoy working with Kukonki too
@@sethtrollins4202 fucking hell yea definitely need a striker. Need someone whose gonna get goals
I heard so many different pronunciations of Amorim, I don’t know what’s the right one anymore😂
I have the same last name. It’s 50/50 how it’s pronounced. I say it Amor-um. But I know other who say Amo-rim
It's tamarind
The Amo is silent.
Can we appreciate how good Ste is looking? Huge difference compared to a couple of years ago.
Yeah buddy! Lightweight! - Souness is a huge Ronnie Coleman fan!
It’s a shame that Joe and Jay have such low standards for Rashford. It’s says a lot about where he’s at with his football. I think it’s better for him that he moves on
Rashford is a sell! Sell!!! SELL!!
People keep talking about his 343 system as though it's 5 defenders. He plays with 4 traditional wingers, his "wingbacks" are both midfield wingers, his 10's are wingers.
His version of 433 is incredibly attacking.
has howson lost weight....keep it up bru. getting in shape for the season🦾
Joe throwing shade at Amad because Ten Hag didn't rate him! Ten Hag is the man who thought Antony was worth 80 million quid, I wouldn't trust his judgement of players!
Such a weird take, a sacked manager doesn't rate him so he can't be good 😂. I do wonder how some of these RUclipsrs get these gigs 😂
What makes you think Ten Hag thought Antony was worth £80m?
The decision to keep Rashford is crazy! He's not inconsistent - he's consistently rubbish. Anything we get for him would be a bonus.
Rashford gets rid of managers for fun. The reason why they won't let rashford go is because they bias to people who not only come from the academy but to players who are local lads.
So no matter how shit rashford is u will never hear him being held accountable the way let's say an anthony would be.
You're mental. Rashford is mint.
22 goals, 21 goals, 5 goals, 30 goals, 8 goals. What the hell do you think inconsistent means if that doesn't qualify?
Alvaro Fernandez is an option at LB
People dont talk about Lingard enough with Marcus. I reckon him not having his mate there keeping spirits high actually had an effect
Rashford is the most mentally frail player ever. It's like he constantly needs everyone to kiss his rear end to keep him happy
I’m sorry he’s 27 a grown man what other footballer needs someone to hold his hand
@@vmmg-ro3dm men don't grow out of emotions, incredibly toxic to even suggest they do
Agree with SH on just about everything. There should be a follow up video that shows which teams are going to be able to, or even want to be able to afford the wages of these players in relation to their quality that are in the sell column. That would be cracking if it could be accomplished but don't see it happening.
Joe will fight tooth and nail for Maguire yet has a problem with amad is all the evidence I need that he’s related 😂🤣🤯🤯
31:42 "Dont pantry him its a shit question" aww ste i love it
I don't know if he'll stick with the 3-4-2-1 but it's quite likely given the success he's had. I like the fact that he mostly uses hardworking wingers in the fullback position. I'm no tactician but it makes Sporting exciting to watch.
Kobbies review made me laugh 😂out my teeth.. thank you guys! ❤
Funny how a stupid round object gives us so much joy!
That pronunciation start was amazing. Amoreeeeem
28:46 'they've just f***ING binned off 250 staff AND Sir Alex Ferguson, let's see you be that ruthless with the squad' couldn't have said it better myself
Howson has dropped a few pounds -> Good for you mate
For the all slander Bruno gets for having a quiet period, look at the the amount of fucking football he’s played. Plays easily 60-70 games a season when you factor in our lengthy cup runs and international games. Virtually ever present, never injured (he’s made of steel), and you need only look at the handful of games he’s missed over the last 4 years to see how little we create without him
Ste the legend with the weight loss. respect.
How can anyone want to keep Maguire? He is one of the worst CBs in the Premier League
An honest point on possibly selling Bayindir: he’s older than I thought and he defo is crowding the way for a(nother) youngster in Vitek.
5:00 conte and tuchel got success from 3 at the back , lvg tried playing 3 at the back in his first season and didn’t have the right centre backs to play it (Blackett rojo McNair etc). No one cares what formation we play we just want to see improvements on the pitch
The like of Joe are the reason why we end up with martial for that long
100%
How does that even make sense and how did you get anyone to agree with this, y’all are missed
@@dillondavis-tirado7181 watch the video carefully, read my point again and digest it then maybe you’ll understand why most people agree to the point
Harry M has the right attitude
But wrong attributes
@davidellinsworth3299 at least he gives a fuck
Is he good enough? Do you really trigger the clause in his contract & extend for one more year paying him 190k per week to sit on the bench? Release him. Invest in young CB on 50k
You know what, mate. Maguire's attitude makes me fume. His social media posts make me want to puke.
Lost me at keep Harry McGuire
No they did not 😮
Got arguably the best mentality in the entire squad. Unironically.
@@RaffaDeee mentality and athletic ability of a donkey. He CAN'T play out from the back
You cannot have Maguire on £190k/week on the bench. Better to sign prospect on £50k
Joe said Amad never did anything other than Liverpool. Had an absolutely class goal against ac Milan too under ole. A goal that won us the tie.
Amad got the fans player of the month of September, then barely selected for October. Think the club hold him in high regard, ETH perhaps not so much
Fans over rate him that's why.. he's not that good, technically he's good but his overall output isn't utd standard. He doesn't look like a player capable of getting 20 goals a season
The thing with people wanting Shaw today, they're hanging their hopes on the 2 good seasons he had forgetting he was bang average most of the time & injured the rest
I think Ineos had been working on Amorim for a bit, and the West Ham result came at a time they were far enough along to say enough is enough.
Just is Bearded Rub's Red and White Army ❤
Would be nice to hear what replacement we would get for a player that gets sold. Both a dream one and a realistic one.
Sell/Release:
Shaw, Dalot, Lindelof, Evans, Malacia, Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony.
Last straw:
Mount
So you want to sell Eriksen.. What if Bruno gets injured? We would have absolutely no one to pick a pass.
Ste when Joe said "he's on a 6 year deal" 🤦♂️🤣
“There’s a word for that… I’ll know my place”🤣🤣
Mazraoui hasn't put a foot wrong so far. He's not really getting assists, and he may never, but if he keeps up this form, he's gotta be considered one of the best right backs in the league.
Deffo he's a proper cultured footballer, he's very different to what we usually get at utd.
@@danhan835 indeed
Amorim plays 343 but it’s a box formation in midfield. No wingers. Our wingers are awful so good news
i don’t see why you’re so keen on getting rid of mount. he doesn’t have a long term history of injuries so he’s just been unlucky, if he leaves and performs at another club we’ll be kicking ourselves for letting him go
The last 3 seasons have been significantly impacted by injury.
Pound for pound does Maguire turn faster than a super tanker
Amorim might well bring more goals, on the basis that happy attackers play with more freedom. Look at what Ole managed to do. Seems like mood in the camp plays a much bigger part than what fans give it credit. Players trusting the managers style is huge. I just hope we see less selfish play from our wingers/providers. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season now, there's at least a chance things will change without EtH
I think Joe has lost the plot on Diallo. Antony is obviously the reason Amad hasn't played more. He's quality, keep, keep, keep!
12:27 It's got to be Nuno "Menj" and Amass for me.
