His deadpan delivery is what really makes this hilarious.
That moment when you find out two different awesome people are actually married!
I'm not going to lie
*-Neil Gaiman has an attractive voice-*
I don't blame them,in this day and age every "voice"should be redacted.
Aww yeah, I was at this show. And that moment where she stopped and smiled at the beginning, she was looking at me :'D I was in the front row and kind of staring at her in awe and she saw me and I guess she found it amusing. I don't blame her, I'm a crazy fangirl and being around her turns me into an idiot.
I was smiling during the whole video. Then it ended and I played it again and kept smiling. This is really adorable, I guess I'll just keep watching it forever now.
These two just restored my faith in marriage
Faith turning to dust again
Now turning back to faith@@asssagar
😬
Now completely divorced lmfao
Longevity isn't everything.
OMG the way that Neil says "woopee" I might die!
I was fans of them both before they met, so it was awesome when they became a couple for me. lol. Neil is so funny.
"He doesn't make much money"
"Well..."
I actually died
My Parents of Creation:
The Singer and the Writer.
Oh this is FANTASTIC! I think I had a dream like this once. It was a film directed by Tim Burton, with a screenplay written by Neil Gaiman, starring Helena Bonham Carter and with a soundtrack by Amanda Palmer.....
They make an extraordinary team.
Love his deadpan and her lightheartedness. It inspires me to see a married couple with such a spirit of play. Clearly the really, really like and enjoy each other.
Two Cult Heroes, One Stage. The new video you have to watch to become hip !
Love this so much. I was so happy when I found out that two of my creative heroes had found love in one another and continue to bring joy the world and one another
You two seem to be the ideal eccentric-artistic couple, like it's almost hysterical
That was the cutest thing I've seen in just about forever. Love you two characters! ♥
I've heard this one a million times, but never have I heard the STORY so clearly! Amazing.
what an amazing voice, and Amanda isn't too bad either ;-)
Aww. Don't you just love them.
ugh, you two are so freaking amazing! Every time I see you play, Amanda, it renews the necessity of getting a ukulele and learning to play it half as well as you do.
her voice is fantastic :)
I just needed some uplifting neil video and now I got an uplifting amanda x neil vid... thanks, this made my day so much better
what they're married? I'm so happy!! I love both of them!! 😭❤️💕
Aww, the adorable couple.
I hope they acknowledged the song writers. Music by Walter Donaldson. Lyric by Gus Kahn. Introduced by Eddie Cantor in the 1928 Broadway musical Whoopee!
Dennis Nyback Why would they? They own the internet.
They are gorgeous. Everything ends, even splendid stuff.
That was Fantastic

OMG I can't imagine anything better than that
This is delightful.
This song reminded me of a game, a very interactive game with judges, criminals, witnesses, cops played with scribbles...
Oh my heart.

Ask Neil to sing "Stoats!". I remember it well..
Cute! :)
KoAloha ukulele! NICE!!!
this is on a loop for quite sometime now. But I'm NOT making Whoopees ... :(
cute!
-"He doesn't make much money..."
- Well...
Hahahahaha you guys totally boned. You're making a person.
Aw I could just eat them both.
me too- but dont 😂♬
Never heard of these two.
I like her voice.
And I like the predominantly low-key performance.
So many singers want to make a "big production" out of it.
But these two have radically altered the melody - not for the better.
Perhaps the banjo (or whatever it is) can't do the "diminished" chords of the original.
And they have slightly altered Gus Kahn's brilliant words.
The audience reacts as if it had never previously heard the song.
A good, if not perfect rendition.
Knowing who they are is part of the context that makes it funny. She's a big star (mostly rock/cabaret) who often throws together ukulele arrangements of songs to do as one off performances, or even writes something quickly, for fun. He's a well known writer, a novelist not a singer. They'd only recently married when they did this tour of "an evening with" where they did really low key, intimate performances and readings of their works. Knowing the people is what makes the performance hilarious (e.g. the very stiff performance and unrehearsed "well..." comment from Neil) to those watching.
whut is whoopie
Whoopee Goldberg. She's a stand-up comedian & actress. ;-)
"Making whoopee" is just an old slang for sex.
Coitus. Shagging. S E X
Sacrebleu ! Better vote for the LibDems then.
uwu
you'll give six to her
