Ya but she's Amanda Fucking Palmer. As Bukowsky said " Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percusion Instrument Untill You Fingers Start to Bleed a Bit". Hardcore is right. Saw the Reality Tour. Trent went wild on that keyboard.
Ben Folds and Tori Amos beat up their Pianos pretty nicely. I forget who it was Maybe Tori or Ben Folds, or Sloan? in one song there's a piano bashing sound, and I remember seeing them live, they got up and used their foot to stomp the keys, and it sounded just right :D
An excellent take on this, I got the chance to see them by mistake at the Reading Festival and yes you are going to get some people saying its not heavy or this and that. Life isnt all about METAL
The Dresden Dolls were a fucking HEAVY band man!!! Either listeners got the ears and the hearts to hear it, or idk. It's all about heavy vibes, it just doesn't necessarily need guitars in all cases ;-) and yes, the Dresden Dolls had some more or less innocent cabarett songs, one of those made them famous, and maybe some quieter sounding songs (those often turned out quite heavy as well) but in general Amanda wrote some fucking hardcore music (and still does as a solo artist), especially live this was unmistakable 🙌 also of course Brian is a highly musical badass drummer🤘 fucking hc punk band, lovem forever 🖤
I'm proud that I'm able to say I know the words to this song now, so when people talk about warpigs, I'm not utterly clueless. I think she has an awesome voice for this song, though my father disagrees.
If I knew when I was 15 that people would be listening to bands with two pieces we have done a lot more than play in the garage with just drums and a bass guitar with effects 30 years ago!
Brilliant - a lot more life in that song than Ozzy put into back in the day. Huh, but equally relevant now as it was then despite a lull in nuclear brinkmanship for a few decades.
What a ridiculous comment! I don't want to dis The White Stripes, cause they're OK, but I don't know how many school recitals I've been to, where the beginner bass & drum students select Seven Nation Army. Good song, I like it...But easy for beginners. I honestly don't know another White Stripes song. Maybe the Dresden Dolls should have covered Seven Nation Army, that's if you think Brian could drum as "good" as Meg?!
Great cover. Passionate, Violent, Gentle, Soulful, Intense. Just great!
I don't know why this video doesn't have more likes. Honestly just amazing!
I've never seen a hardcore keyboard smash before. Just another reason Amanda Palmer is a true innovator.
The keyboard player from Faith No More.

Chicken Noodle Soup Same here, it was honestly pretty brilliant.
Good god! what a very epic performance!!
Absolutely amazing 👏👏👏👏🙏💜🌍 actual as always
Just noticed, the transformed the keyboard's manufacturer's name 'KURZWEIL' to 'KURT WEILL'. Awesome!
Absolutely kickass performance!!

I will tell you man, those kids ready listen to just violin or just guitar. Everything you need is some talent
They are like a very much less talented white stripes doing cover songs
I love this version. I love The Dresden Dolls.
:D Thanks!!! :D Anna,Christine,Tinja&Markku
Come to Czech Republic. We are awaiting You, let us know the date!!! I will surely come...
The keyboard and drum combo for this song make it sound like boss battle music

I kinda feel like they nailed it.
Youre horrribly wrong

@@carolinapdx not really this is terrible
They absolutely did nail it.
Exactly 🎼🎵🎶🎤☯️💟♾️
Not since Jerry lee lewis, have I seen the piano presented with such fire. Love you Dresden Doll. #PatrickPalmer #BryanTx

That is fookin SICK!!!!
You know I wished for all my wishes to come true, in this plant so blue, In light of the moon to see the sunrise in you.
Капец, как классно!!!
P.S. в 2021 году через 6 лет готов повторить - Это ШЕДЕВРАЛЬНЫЙ кавер.
Was best band ever before
🤘🤘🤘
AWESOME AF IN AUG2021! WHO GETS TO BE LUCKY LIKE #666?
It don't say it anymore than this
mis papas
It's lacking percussion obviously. But damn it's good for just a piano and drum. Can't imagine it being done with just 2 instruments. Very well done.
Those are both percussion instruments :D
Totally agree.
Killer drumming. Good keyboard and ok vocal. But... this drumming asks for something heavier than just a keyboard.
Nice cover, but...
When will some of these bands realize that they really DO need a bass player!
I don't blame you thinking like this
Pretty good, for a middle school presentation, 😂😂😂!
Moshcam is not showing anyone moshing to this. Perhaps the audience was a bit too intellectual? (to quote FZ)
should fiona ever try to hulk out, amanda will be there to crush her
I just learned she was married to Neil Gaiman
Gripping stuff.
I respect the Dresden Dolls as artists, but I just wasn't feeling this.
Yeah feel the same
its the hairy armpits that did it for me.... i cant fap to that
Haha cant get it up eh. Thats your prob chief.
NuclearJesusMan what? The drums alone should make you in love with it!
Tyler what? The drums alone should make you in love with it!
nahh..it misses something...
Oh God no.
i guess good music just isn't for everyone
Especially these two.
a ladies shick might be appropriate :D
Ok......fuk yeah....i feel it!
Not diggin' the hairy pits tho :(
They are like a very much less talented white stripes doing cover songs

Why don't you check this one out... ruclips.net/video/yXlULkwhgrc/видео.html They are a very much less talented Dolly Parton doing cover songs. FGS
Well that was just pathetic, put a shirt on and bring on the real band.
