I finally realized that when wii fit trainer was getting zapped, she did her up smash. I'm personally happy with this intro, man. Feels like something new that you haven't heard in a Smash intro in the past ever before. This'll get me hyped in an instant as well!
Just watched this for the third time so I could check to see if every character was actually there, and I can confirm all of them were. I didn't count characters who first appeared in the WOL cutscenes that featured multiple such as the one of them atop the cliff. Also, I'm not counting any DLC, just characters in the base roster. Additionally, I didn't count Pokemon Trainer (him/her)self, but I did count all 3 of his companions and I counted all 3 Mii Fighters too. I'm just so happy with all the heart and soul that was put into just the opening of the game, everyone really is here plus more and I could not be happier. This has to be one of my favorite, if not my all time favorite, Smash openings of all time! Can't wait to see the updated version(s) fans will inevitably make after all the DLC finishes. Lastly, I just wanna say it's amazing that they were able to make such an incredible opening by technically only using one cutscene (basically only the stuff we saw in the WOL trailer plus snippets of some boss fight introductions) and without using any of the cinematics from the character reveals, it would've been cool to see those implemented but in a way this kinda gives the opening its own charm because it still gives me goosebumps. Anyway that's my rant and I just wanted to share it here because this is how I truly feel about the opening. I really appreciate all of the work that went into making it, they could've just used the Everyone Is Here trailer if they wanted, but no, we got yet another masterpiece. Let me know what you guys think about the opening.

I can’t stop watching this, the final part of the intro where the logo pops up, I always watch it. It gives me chills on how smooth the transition is, it’s awesome how they made it in 60fps & so smooth! I love this game to death

It would be 100 times better if at the title card at the end you heard "SUPER SMASH BROTHERS" like from the first game I thought about it and it gave me chills.
From the opening instrumentals to the iconic logo we all know and love forming itself on the title screen, this opening is phenomenal. It shows off the game’s big beautiful roster and it shows it off in style. It doesn’t need any flashy CGI to be one of the best, maybe even THE best opening in the entire series.
Smash 4 and Brawl already toped Melee’s intro. I mean, Melee is an amazing game, and has one of the best gameplay of the serie, but the opening absolutely isn’t that special

From the opening instrumentals to the iconic logo we all know and love forming itself on the title screen, this opening is phenomenal. It shows off the game’s big beautiful roster and it shows it off in style. It doesn’t need any flashy CGI to be one of the best, maybe even THE best opening in the entire series.
