I grew up like many others watching Nicholas Parsons on Sale of the Century. When I was a young aspiring journalist once upon a time in the late ‘80s, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to share afternoon tea with Nicholas Parsons in a posh London hotel. I was so starstruck 😂 He was charming and believe it or not, he dropped a couple of f-bombs into our conversation.( quietly of course!) He was so funny and incredibly interesting to converse with, bless him. He was a lovely chap and a true gentleman who gave me a respectful peck on the cheek when I had finished interviewing him and he thanked me for my time. Rest in peace Nicholas and thank you x
Myself and a friend owned a photography studio and we were lucky enough to take the photos that appeared on the front cover of his book. He was a very nice and professional gentleman.
A legend tv star who entertain us all for years he be sadly missed by all always a national tv 📺 star thanks for making this video on a tribute to the great star always a great english utuber who works hard always a humble kind human being always a true fan of your great utube channel always drop us a small message to say hi 👋 it will be brilliant 👏
Morning Paul, just got back, great video, gosh I remember Sale of the century lol, saw Nicolas Parsons live at lakeside country club, it was a charity event and he spent hours signing autographs, seemed like a real gent. Have a great week and looking forward to the next one 👍👍
Only met Nicholas once . It was around 1986 so in his 60s. I was waterskiing at Paul Seatons ski centre at Thorpe park in Surrey. Nicholas was a decent skier and just as friendly as his tv persona . Preferred him in real life to his tv personality where I always thought he was about too slick. RIP Nicholas
The gravestone you focus on at 9:56 is of a famous actress and the one time wife of Rex Harrison, Kay Kendall, who died of leukemia. She starred in the classic film Genevieve.
Hi Paul. Another great respectful tribute to a much underrated actor. I remember him appearing in one of the Margaret Rutherford "Miss Marple" films where he played a doctor. He was a softly well spoken gentleman who never received the accolades he truly deserved. Much missed. Thanks Paul and thank you Nicolas Parsons ❤
Magic, my mum would force me to watch sale of the century as a youngster. The man came across as a very decent wholesome human being. Thanks for this one Paul, that really brought the memories flooding back for me .
Nicholas parsons was a very good host and presenter..sale of the century was a must see on a Sunday evening..just a minute was groundbreaking aswell another fine tribute paul ..he was very good..rip nick...hammergazz
Aw bless him, I still listen to his old radio show Just a Minute. I loved anything he was in. He had class, was funny and so quick-witted. Thank you Paul. x
A fabulous tribute to one of the best presenters we've ever had. He began Just a Minute in 1967 and never missed an episode for 52 years. Thanks to its amazing longevity, he became the face and voice of radio 📻 comedy. He was fabulous on the Anglia TV quiz Sale of the Century. Although he's gone, he's never forgotten Thanks for the memories Mr Parsons ❤ 😊
Loved Nicholas Parsons' Sale of the Century ❤ This upload puts me in mind of the Two Ronnie's Newscast: Ronnie Corbett: "In the next sketch, I interview a lady who likes Nicholas Parsons". Ronnie Barker: "And I interview a Parson who likes knickerless ladies" 🤣🤣🤣.
Thanks for this Paul , Nicholas was such a really lovely guy when I met him in July 1989 , Harlow Town Park when Then Jerico were playing , he introduced them , he was a really nice person …. Shame same can’t be said about the drunk yobs behind us TJ fans (we were at the very front ) who crushed us into the barrier and gave my mate concussion ! Ugh Rip Nicholas ❤x
Sale of the century was another great show in the 1970's , that era will be remembered well by all who lived through that time , many good shows on TV . Thankyou Paul
I'm really happy you have done a Doctor Who actor! Being a big fan of the classic era. My son, age 10, wrote to him in 2014 asking for an autograph for his primary school as he was collecting Doctor Who ones for his school, which are still up today. He sent back with autographs and a lovely note. A really nice man. Thank you for showing this. Hope you do some more Doctor Who Actors and Actresses.
Dankeschön Paul das ich dieses Video schauen durfte. Er hat ja trotz allem noch ein schönes Alter erreicht. Möge er in Frieden ruhen 🙏🏻. Thank you. Paul
I remember Nicholas Parsons very well. His voice always was so smooth . Old school entertainer, another one was Leslie Crowther . Different but cut from the same cloth so to speak. Both remembered with fondness. Thanks Paul 👍
i used to watch Sale of The Century years back with my mum and dad always waiting for my favourite tv show coming on after it . The Six Million Dollar Man :)
He's brilliant in Mr Jolly Lives Next Door, along with Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson and Peter Cook. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. Plays it totally straight and bewildered at the lunacy going on around him which makes it even funnier.
I watched that again the other day on DVD. Nicholas Parsons was brilliant in it! Genius comedy. Interesting that Nicholas Parsons and Peter Cook are both in this cemetery, as they were both in Mr Jolly Lives Next Door.

A lot are like that now. They do tend to maintain the baby and child area but not much else. It could be because of how close together they all are?
Lovely video mate thank you for doing this one. I only see him in a film last night actually. Too many crooks. Brilliant. 👍
