I absolutely love Brian's attitude towards cancer. My Mum fought it for 19 months and smiled every damn day, right up to her last breath. She was in hospital for a year, and a nursing home for 7 months.
He was a brilliant actor, died far too soon, he sounds like a strong man so he probably kicked it's arse for the whole 3 year, rip Brian.. Thank you so much Paul xx
Great content as always Paul I am an ex stonemason and I have erected many memorials in that church yard and I know exactly where the grave is you were searching for in fact you did find it , the one you said had nothing on it is the exact resting place of Brian Hall . Keep up the great work 😊
How lovely to know that his resting place was found by Paul from someone with the knowledge. Bet you are dearly missed in your line of work as stonemasons are hard to find.
I love walking around grave yards where family are buried. I read many headstones of people I don't know. To me it's like I'm keeping their memory alive, they are not forgotten. Very peaceful places.
I can't believe you go stumbling around these old cemetaries at 4.00am! That's dedication for our enjoyment, good job again Paul, sorry you couldn't find it but thank you for trying.
Paul, Brian was an absolute legend, especially in Fawlty Towers which never grows old. It is such a shame that his final resting place is hard to find! Thanks mate. Bob
"The burning light in a church holds deep symbolism. The lamp signifies that Christ is truly present. The tradition is rooted in the Old Testament, where God instructed Moses to keep a lamp perpetually burning in the Tabernacle (Exodus 27:20-21)."
He has done some great stuff lol confessions of a window cleaner 😂😂😂 and I loved break in the sun , and up the elephant round the castle was so funny 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Loved Fawlty Towers! I was born in Sutton Coldfield and raised in California but spent my time either watching videos or when satellite came around watching British Comedy!
Brilliant video what new found respect I have for an actor I watched many years ago,his view as he left this life is exemplary, God bless you Brian, super.
I’ve lived in Shoreham for 46 yrs and never been to that church and didn’t know Brian Hall was buried there. The building you saw in the distance is lancing College. Thanks for a great video Paul, I’ll probably go and have a wander round St Nicholas next time I’m passing!
i loved watching Brian in all those programms he appeared in.He certainly came across as a really nice guy. So sorry you were unable to find his resting place
Thanks Paul for looking for the headstone. I have been to a few of the graves which you located myself . Its so important to do this. Well done again mate. Charles DeVere Lancashire.
The huge building you could see in the distance was likely Lancing College. I noticed it years ago when I used to visit Shoreham to cisit and take my Dog's Trust doggy for a walk. I asked what it was and was told it was Lancing.
Sorry you couldn't find Brian's final resting place Paul I used always see him pop up in tv roles. Fawlty towers was one of my favourites back in the day thank you for your time and effort R I P Brian 🙏
That did make me smile! I do feel sorry for your shoes sometimes! Another great video - even though it didn’t go quite as planned. Early mornings are the best 🤗
I implore with all the viewers of this great vlog because of RUclipss insistance of putting more and more ads before during the watch, mute the sound and note the seconds of each ad break
Great video as always Paul..i remember Brian as Terry from Fawlty Towers yes..if you haven't already would you mind doing one on Andrew Sachs who played Manual from Fawlty towers:)
This is down the road from me.might see if I could find his grave.didn’t know he was buried here? Thanks for another great upload.love all your content! 👍🏻
What a shame you didn't find it. What a beautiful church. I remember when they never closed churches always open for the people. But things change so much theft. Thanks for sharing love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💜 🫰
I remember looking for my great grandparents grave for ages to no avail. I called the church cemetery office and they looked on the records and even physically showed me the grave when zi arrived for my appointment.
Wow that was an early visit. Such a shame his grave has been covered up. I remember watching Brian in different TV shows. I think you need to put together a travel bag Paul. Wellington boots, Hayfever tabs and an all weather jacket 😂 Thanks Paul and take care.
I’m sorry you couldn’t find it. I find it really bad that they mowed and didn’t clear away. Here in Germany if that happened in a cemetery there would be an uproar as they really keep the graves well kept here. It doesn’t matter so much when it’s a grave for someone who died in 1850 but 1997 isn’t that long ago so he must have living family members who might come visit and be upset to see the grave covered in grass.
Missed this paul been away..brian was absolutely brilliant cheers for this mate fawlty towers is legendary proper comedy...i remember him vaguely popping up in the professionals...and the sweeney great supporting actor...rip brian...hammergazz
I never knew this, Ive ran past this church hundreds of times! What you point out is the chapel of Lancing College, its really beautiful place to go to
Great video again Paul thank you for remembering brain hall the legend who made me laugh in faulty towers and for trying to find is grave look forward to your next video
Used to love Fawlty Towers as a kid. Made me laugh when they'd change the sign post at the start of every episode, my favourite being "Fartey Owls" Thanks for the video, but I remember this fella for being in "The Professionals" more? Hope you're good Paul? 👍😉
Thank you Paul for another amazing video loved Brian tv legend it's a same you couldn't find him but thank you for trying 😊 those where some crazy pigeons lol 😂have a lovely time away 😊
I remember him in many a British TV series, loved his character roles but particularly forty towers, shame he died so young, it's strange sometimes re watching TV series and seeing these actors when they were alive and then seeing their final resting places, hard to fathom sometimes.
The photo on your phone looks like the grave was under a tree. It took me 2 hours to find my Grandfathers grave in the Military Cemetery in Aldershot. Enjoyed that tribute to Brian Hall, although it was so sad.
Brian was a great actor....I remember, when I was a kid, he was in a drama where he played the father of an autistic boy who used classical music to calm himself through his headphones.....his character was complex and couldn't deal with his son's needs.....this was on children TV....he was so memorable....good video 👍
I didn't even know he was dead. It's a shame because there's a lot of actors who played small but memorable parts that are no longer with us, and we don't even know it
Thanks Paul. This was enjoyable and who doesn't enjoy fawlty Towers 😊 i laughed at this just remembering the scene with the rat poison. What a legacy leaving people laughing.
Another good actor. Remember him in some of the other programmes you mentioned. He was one of those actors that you knew his face as soon as you saw it. Loved Fawlty Towers. The brickwork on the church was wonderful. You will have to start taking a broom ha ha. Thank you Paul.
You're a real legend! I've always wanted to know where he was buried. His attitude to death was amazing. Shame you couldn't find him. Maybe you could try again in the near future? Many thanks for this
Thanks Paul, really fascinating! I’ve lived near shoreham all my life mostly in the Brighton area, more recently in Worthing. I’ve always loved Fawlty Towers (I still watch it regularly) but had no idea Brian was buried so close. Will see if I can pop down sometime. That building in the background I believe is the chapel of Lancing College.
@UnusualThings1 Ty for being a genuine fella and a talented on screen professional. If you ever visit belfast again your very welcome to stay over foc anytime Paul. 💯👌
Nice one paul sorry you did not find brians grave maybe another day when they clear all that grass away Brian came across as a really nice guy sad he died aged just 59 Anyway paul till next time ta 4 now loving the tshirts R i p brian 🙏🥀

Love this ✌️
Same as my sweet mum
Mr Hall was a brilliant actor, whose name was never forefront, but instantly recognisable. RIP

Me too. I also find it relaxing and clears my head.
Remember him as Terry Stokes in the classic film McVicor.

When Brian found out he was dying he said he was looking forward to the eternal sleep..how strong was he. ❤
@@alanneill1778 That's a really lovely way for him to look at it and a brave thing to say. What a guy.
Nice one Paul, ... I was only watching this guy the other night in the movie ''McVicar'' .... Great actor, great tallent. Thanks for this one.
Wow was he in macvicar & minder then a comedy role as chef & so many other hard man roles
Loved Fawlty Towers! I was born in Sutton Coldfield and raised in California but spent my time either watching videos or when satellite came around watching British Comedy!
Why did you move to California?
@@MsBettyboo01 my dad came to visit a friend and liked the weather better so that was that.

i remember him very well great actor, most of his character rolls could sell sand to the arabs. hope you are well Paul, never lose that cheeky smile
I think his acting in Break in The Sun 1981 as stepfather Eddie Green was an amazing piece of acting. Shame we never saw him in roles like that.
Thanks Paul for looking for the headstone. I have been to a few of the graves which you located myself . Its so important to do this. Well done again mate. Charles DeVere Lancashire.
I can remember him well, he seemed to be in every other series shown in the 70s !
