6:56 totally worth the effort! Maybe bring a hand rake just to dig a little below the surface 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve never been agate hunting but that’s what I do with shell piles at the beach
I've been wanting to find a gravel pick to rockhound, and now you've made me want to REALLY find a gravel pit. Great finds and thanks for taking us along.
The nice bands on that real big one make the calf workout worthwhile. Nice job scoping out that spot - sometimes those hours of Google Maps scrolling pay dividends 😄
This has been pretty typical of my experiences at gravel pits as well. Seems like they get a lot of pressure. Even a private gravel pit I have permission to hunt seems to get a fair amount of traffic as well. Our biggest finds have still come from river beds and it’s not even close. With an exception where we found some really nice agates in our new landscaping.
I agree. All of my big finds actually have been from the beaches of Lake Superior which is surprising! River beds are good too. I think they are high pressure like you said and not as much fun as being in the water in my opinion!
Nothing much for size with those finds but they are still very nice! If only you could have found the mother lode or where they escaped from the host location. Imagine that spot?
Lots of tiny little agates in these pits, but once in a while you find ones like that! The mother lode spot will be a site to see once someone finds it!
That was a fun day. Just that one would make looking for a couple hours worth it. That one was awesome.
Thanks Rob! The hours of hunting to find that one is always worth the wait. :)
Nice finds! 😊
☺️
Looked like a fun and successful day! Great finds! 🙂
Thanks Tracy :) it was a great day!
Nice to have the rocks all piled up for you in one spot! Gorgeous agate!
The sheer amount of rocks in the area was crazy!!
Got to love big rock piles ❤
Who would have thought how much I would come to love rock piles in my life 😂
What an amazing candy stripe agate!
It looked tasty!
Awsome man!!!!!!!
Thanks Ivan!

Absolutely worth the effort! I may have to do so. So much rock on the surface first it makes my eyes cross 😂😂
Really beautiful nuggets! I think that's a very promising location.
I think so too! I will return in the future!
Looks like a nice place to find some good tumbler food. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your.
Thanks Robert :) my tumbler has been very full as of late 😂

They are hard to find now a days, but with enough research they are out there with lots of goodies :)

It really did make it worthwhile! And making sure I find public gravel pits is the hardest part! The dividends paid off this time indeed!
