Using the iPhone 5 in 2021 is my life. Not because I can't upgrade, but because I don't need to. It's a brilliant phone, and even though it's slow it still holds up great on the daily for me!
@@THEduke771 I got lucky as my iPhone 5 came with a relatively new battery, and it performs better than my old SE did! So battery life is fine, but only if you know what to expect from these older iPhones, and remember that they won't last all day under our modern battery expectations.

I used mine for about 3 years and was still in perfect condition when I upgraded to the 6S Plus. I handed it down to my mom to use since it was still like new and she was able to use that rather than pay for another phone. About another 3 years later she upgraded to an iPhone 8. I kind of regret passing down the iPhone 5 to her just because she beat it up pretty good to the point where the screen isn’t fully attached so I have to keep it inside of my old otter box defender case. After about 5 years and 4 months with my 6S Plus I finally upgraded to my 12 Pro Max. My 6S plus still works with about 76% of its battery life left. And after over 8 years my iPhone 5 still powers on no problem.
