Yes it is true, I had a heart attack 2 years ago. I'm completely recovered, and I think most of it was due to CoQ10 and other supplements, but also because of a change in my diet, getting rid of sugar and doing a ketogenic diet.

This is more information than I have ever received from my physician. I've been on blood pressure medicine with not much luck and my dr. telling me to double my dose and take a water pill, which also did no good. After 7 months of this I was very frustrated at the lack of results. Saw this video and figured it couldn't hurt to try. I've been following these 5 steps and my blood pressure has gone from 168/95 to 148/80 in one month. Thanks!

Great tips! Surprised salt wasn't mentioned in the video. That turned out to be my #1 culprit. Avoid adding salt to too many foods and that usually helps. Also, cinnamon lowers your blood pressure very fast (just gotta be careful with it!) Went from 140 all the way down to 90. Drinking a lot of water and fasting is another way but that's not a permanent solution.

Thank you Dr. Axe. A few years ago my blood pressure was so high, my descending thoracic Aorta began dissecting. I lost 75% of my blood internally that day. I had emergency open heart surgery where they replaced a portion of my Aorta with a grapht. The internal blood loss was causing blood clots in almost every vital organ. I somehow survived this ordeal but even with medication my blood pressure is still high.Thank you again so much for this information!

More than half of the vitamins on the market your body doesn't even digest. Just passes it through.
So what would be the best recommendation for these...considering digestion, bio-availability, etc...?

I asked my Cardiologist about taking CoQ10 and he told me it wouldn’t make a difference. Today I saw my primary care Dr and told her I had started taking magnesium. She said it would upset my stomach? All the holistic Dr,s say we should take these things. Are our medical Drs just trying to kill us? I have a 4.5 cm aortic aneurysm and trying so hard to improve my health. I’m monitored every six months with a CT scan. I’ve been on mostly sugar free, gluten free, with moderate meats with fruits and vegetables for about a month now, (at least an apple a day). mostly paleo and at the same time, I started the Fish oil, CoQ10, potassium, L-Carnitine, Stress B Complex, B-12, C, Ashwaganda, Lysine, magnesium and a few others. Last week, I quit the simvastatin for cholesterol I had been on about 20 years. I’ve also been on blood pressure meds about 20 years but afraid to quit that. I had to have my gall bladder removed in 2014. I almost never drink sodas and have a glass of water with lemon juice and then a cup of coffee first thing in the morning but otherwise drink green tea, or cinnamon tea or water the rest of the day. I also use coconut and MCT oils. Please advise if I’m on the right track. I would really appreciate your feedback!

I had high bp last year and a clinic doctor & cardiologist told me that it was because i was drinking whole milk. Apparently🙄 adults arent suppose to drink whole milk or drink milk at all. Adults are suppose to drink like skim milk or soy milk. The calcium in milk not only aids in bone development but also the contraction of blood vessels. Since adults 18 and older are no longer growing theres “no need for whole milk” 🙄 So this could possibly be an issue idk im just throwing something out there from my experience.

We are humans we should not be consuming other mammals milk at all. I have seen a significant chance after I stopped drinking milk it's been 2 years now. We were drinking soy, but I switch to almond milk it's a little better for my son. He used to have stomach issues with whole milk after I stopped no problems.

mine used to be high but I got it down pretty easy. I lost weight by eating less, I already ate OK foods, and by that I mean whole foods and no processed foods, i iust ate less. I didn't go on a special diet. I got a running machine and did a light 5 minute jog once or twice a day, eventually I ran with more intensity. if you cant jog just walk but for a bit longer. my blood pressure went down pretty fast with the combination of diet and exercise. i wasn't even that overweight so I guess some of use are more at risk than others. i can only put it down due to a previous time in my life when i was very inactive and gained a bit of weignt. you've gotta get that blood moving aroumd the body. pills just change chemistry and diet isn't a permanent fix

I’ve been on coversyl plus 4mg for 10 days and my heart has been racing and pounding around 103. I hate Meds and I’m over them. My diastolic pressure is around 97-111 and systolic is average to high. I’m in my 30’s and high BP comes from my dad side. I’m 40lbs overweight and I know that’s the main culprit and I blame the 50lbs I gained on prednisone years ago. Will definitely try those supplements and ask mom to cook for me more often lol she’s Mediterranean.
I’ll update shortly if anyone wants to know if the supplements helped.

Dr. Ace I'm allergic to some
fish and the smell, however, I can eat canned tuna (2 Top brands only) packed in water or oil for some strange reason. I've even broken out for using eye shadow with fish scales in it to give a glitter effect. The cosmetic industry should be required to indicate that boldly on packaging. Are there any substitutes for the fish oil?

Dr. Axe, my systolic levels are a little high (mean score of: 135-45), while my diastolic level are stabilized. I think this is called Isolated Systolic Hypertension (ISH). My doctor and I are monitoring it, but all of the meds she is prescribing to me, are not working. So have decided to stop talking the meds as they are not producing the desired results. I plan to inform my doctor in a few weeks. The only choice, I see, is the natural approach. Your thoughts.

I am getting conflicting messages from different doctors. Some say cut out fructose sugars including fruits. Others are saying eat more fruits in your diet. How do you know which is best for you?

Polar Bear can I suggest eat more vegetables rather than fruits . Fruits like bananas are sweet and have a high content of fructose which is sugar . If one is trying to lose weight which is often ( not always) a factor in high BP , cholesterol and hypertension- it’s best to consume far more vegetables ( raw if possible in form of veg juice if possible) than fruits which are high in fructose and hence interfere with weight loss and glucose metabolism.

Fruits like bananas, apples, and oranges can help lower potassium. Fruits just like vegetables is important. Spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables is good to. Google is where can get good information too. Omega 3 fish oil pills, frankincense, Ylang Ylang are ways you can lower your blood pressure. First thing doctors want to do is tell me to take baby aspirin because my BP is a little high, I decided to do my own research because I am pregnant and don't want to depend on medication like that.
