Thank you Jesus for i know i can always run towards you instead of running away from you whenever i fall short of your expectations. You are always willing with an open arms to receive me back to you only if i can genuinely repent and come back ... Amen! 🙏
I've thought of writing many times but haven't done it. I finally decided to tell you how much your program means to me. Last year, I had two surgeries and wasn't able to attend church for almost a year. I was so lonely for my church family. I had already been watching every Friday night, but during that time, Hope Sabbath School also became my family! I don't know what I would have done without all of you! Thank you so very much 💖!
what I can get from this week, lesson is, we should always stay strong and pray in times of troubles, like what Jesus did, there is power in prayers.🙏🙏Have a beautiful week.
This 11th lesson brought me tears, searching myself. Thank you Hope Sabbath school for the simple way you address the lesson for uneducated persons to understand. May the Lord continue in blessing you all, Amen.
Thank you sister Sabina on the enlightenment of the garden of Gethsemane. What I gleaned from that is the oil represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit which is what strengthened the Lord in His time of need and distress. ❤ Blessings. Remain blessed Hope Sabbath School as you bless others. Amen 🙏
We're glad you enjoyed it. It's been a powerful quarter filled with many wonderful lessons. Thanks for watching and being a part of Hope Sabbath School!
This lesson study illustrates the important point that our judicial system can be corrupted and manipulated to bring about the conviction of those who are completely innocent of the charges. As Christians we must be very prayerful, sober and wise in the choices we make and the associations we make because the innocent can suffer grave injustice just like our savior Jesus Christ suffered and we should pray for those who are suffering in this respect as part of satan’s onslaught against the church, for God to deliver such people and not run away from them as soon as we hear that some difficulty has befallen them, we can at least remember them in our prayers. Happy Sabbath, blessings.
I really like Pua's comment with regards to the young man and the linen sheet......it make so sense...... Confirming that it really took place ...the arrest if JESUS and everything that happened......remembering how the young man flee that night without the sheet that he hastingly grab when he heard the noise, and lost it when he had to flee to

Although the name of the woman is not mentioned with the Alabastor box but it is said that it is Mary, Lazarus's sister. We find this woman whenever she is mentioned in the bible is all at the feet of Jesus. 1st when she was caught in the act of adultery and about to be stoned 2nd When Martha complained that Mary did not help her but instead was sitting and listening at Jesus feet and now so overwhelmed at mercy Jesus had shown in forgiving her of such sins that she poured her worship on Him with her perfume. When we consider the great love and mercy that God has shown us through His Son we too need to surrender all to Him. We could never repay the debt we owed but Jesus paid the ultimate price with His life even while we were yet sinners.
Is there a way to find what scripture texts are from the scripture songs? I don't know where in the Bible to find the scripture the song is singing about. Thanks
Hello! hopetv.org/shows/hopess/inside-out if you go there, and scroll down, you should see a section that says documents, there you can download the texts from the scripture song.
I believe Peter ment every word he was on a spiritual high.He just got wash by the Lord but like many of us we underestimate the power of the devil. We resile not against flesh and blood.
A main theme here is preparation. Jesus alerts and counsels the disciples of the need to prepare for the trials. He models perfectly how to do so. The outcomes are predictable. The unprepared disciples run away, lash out, lie and swear. Jesus is composed and calls the mob to account and heals Malchus. He speaks truthfully under oath.
In the midst of the narrative, the unprepared young man in the linen cloth sacrifices the linen cloth for his release but Jesus surrenders himself, later losing his clothes and dying naked upon the cross. He sought the higher purpose of covering our sins that our nakedness need never be exposed nor our lives lost.
Just thinking now..........yes..... GOD'S GRACE can reach anyone....the vilest sinner.....but if this prophecy of JESUS betrayal was foretold long before....was there still hope for Judas.......would the PLAN OF SALVATION BE FULLFILLED......just a thought 🤔
I like listening to the lesson study with you. I like all the different perspectives, but I'm confused when you said that Judas was not called by Jesus. How do explain Mark 3: 13 - 19? ESPECIALLY VS 19. Anxiously awaiting your answer. Thanks.
This, by no means, is meant to preempt the answer you're anxiously awaiting from Hope S.S. I'm right there with you -- just so you know. Your question has intrigued me; it sent me scurrying back to the Bible for verification. I use a version of the Parallel Bible and quickly notice, with special interest, the physical layout of the list of the "called ones," vss. 16-19, NLT. One overwhelming conclusion which comes to me is that in this plan of salvation, Jesus gives everybody a chance, no matter the background or disposition -- none is excluded! It is therefore left to each of us to decide for ourselves, what we will do with Jesus. Oh, what a Savior, what a Friend!!
Could the significance of the naked young man be a reflection of the sin of mankind when Adam and Eve sinned they saw that they were naked. The naked represents our sin exposed and only Jesus can provide the garment of righteousness like how God covered Adam and Eve with the animal skin in the garden of Eden.
The leaders: the priests, the scribes, where highly educated people who knew and studied the law. They were the ones whom Herod, upon hearing about the birth of King Jesus called to demand where Jesus was to be born. They told him exactly where and the prophet who predicted it. Matt. 2:2-6. They took pride in boasting that they follow the ten commandments, including the sixth, thou shalt not kill. Ex. 20:13, yet those so-called leaders were the ones plotting to put Jesus to death! Mark 14:1. What hypocrites!!!
In Remembrance of Me And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Luke 22:19. {FLB 300.1} In the last Passover our Lord observed with His disciples, He instituted the Lord's Supper in place of the Passover, to be observed in memory of His death. {FLB 300.2} The national festival of the Jews was to pass away forever. The service which Christ established was to be observed by His followers in all lands and through all ages. {FLB 300.3} God has not left it with men to say who shall present themselves on these occasions. For who can read the heart? Who can distinguish the tares from the wheat? "Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup." For "whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord." "He that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body." 1 Cor. 11: 28, 27, 29. . . . {FLB 300.4} In partaking with His disciples of the bread and wine, Christ pledged Himself to them as their Redeemer. . . . As we receive the bread and wine symbolizing Christ's broken body and spilled blood, we in imagination join in the scene of Communion in the upper chamber. We seem to be passing through the garden consecrated by the agony of Him who bore the sins of the world. We witness the struggle by which our reconciliation with God was obtained. Christ is set forth crucified among us. {FLB 300.5} Looking upon the crucified Redeemer, we more fully comprehend the magnitude and meaning of the sacrifice made by the Majesty of heaven. The plan of salvation is glorified before us, and the thought of Calvary awakens living and sacred emotions in our hearts. Praise to God and the Lamb will be in our hearts and on our lips; for pride and self-worship cannot flourish in the soul that keeps fresh in memory the scenes of Calvary.
Do you think that Judas will be in heaven after all he did repent of what he did. Could it be that God used him just like he did Pharaoh of Egypt to show His power. I am inclined to believe that Judas will be in Heaven but I am not saying at all that he will be there, just wondering. The deal with Pharaoh makes me wonder if God didn't create Old Satan to prove His people after all God said I created Good and I created Evil. Welll I couldn't find that in the bible but I do believe that I have read that before. Revelation 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
This Quarter's lessons from the book of Mark highlight the covetousness, the greed and love of money, the root of all evil, of the religious leaders in every group, Scribes, Pharaisees , Saducees, etc. They despised Jesus because of His teachings, His claims, and His popularity. He was taking away much of their credibility as they saw it. Their teaching was based on the tradition of the fathers not on the teachings of Scripture. Jesus said to them: But in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. MARK 7;7 It is futile to teach tradition; their's no salvation in tradition. Religious teachers should ONLY TEACH the TRUTH. There is salvation in truth. See John 8:32 And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. NOTE: Although Jesus corrected them, He did it in a Christlike manner, with much tact, love, and graciousness. YET they nailed Him to the Cross. Until they were converted they continued in these evil ways. After their conversion, for example Nicodemus, they became Christ's followers, CHRISTLIKE.
Another extremely powerful lesson! .. I had read that the boy who went away naked is John Mark himself..(if I remember correctly, got it from a book on Introduction to the NT).. It's so sad

Hello hope sabbath school.
Judas betrayed Jesus and he went and hong him selves and Peter denied Jesus and he end up wept betterly
Why were the panelists never seem enthused with their amen about the guy who went to prison? Am I overreacting or overly sensitive?
Why did Peter denied Jesus
